Curious how many people identify with "The Rock" Jones.

Assuming that the responses above come from approximately-equal numbers of biologically-female and biologically-male people, it seems that the male (biological) gender is less disposed to choose answers other than their biological sex...huh Twice the number of people selected male-related answers as did female-related answers (I left out agender and genderfluid). But there's still an interesting difference.

"Anyway I survived all that and got to the country safely. After the war was over, I liked it there so much I moved there and lived in the country until I died when I was 65. But I always remained young at heart."

Did anyone remember Jones know Mortimer's full name? Because I sure didn't. An' short bios tend to focus on what happens leading up to someone's death, not on all the deaths themselves, which is what makes it depressing (including the fact that her husband dies of cancer -- that's a downer even if you already know he's gotta die, and that he died before seeing his first grandson born, and that the daughter loses her parents at a pretty young age)

Level of emotional expressiveness (in comparison to cultural norms? What do you mean by that, exactly?

My personal reaction to the first tweet: "I'm confused. It looks like he's saying something that's incredibly rude on multiple levels, but he might also be sarcastic? Only I can't figure it out, because there is a lack of clues one way or another."
Second tweet: "I'm more confused. This has even less clues than the first one, and this probably intensifies the way I should feel about the first tweet, once I figure out how to feel about it."
Third tweet: "A non-apology. Okay, that is quite a dick move."
Fourth tweet: "Okay, a proper apology. That's good."
These things don't concern me personally, and so I wasn't offended, but I can see how people would be really pissed by the second or third tweet. We can talk about internet overreaction, but we can also talk about "think before you tweet".

Also, apparently the Hivemind is back? I've been seconds late on like three threads this month. Heh, I think it's the first time I've ever been first with a thread. I think one time I was second? All the other times I've been just too late to even try.

This raises more questions. Which one is the real one? Does the rest of the ROTD have the same appearence? Did Robeguy look like that from the beginning? And is it possible he looks yet another way for other people? Do Annie and Mort even see the same thing? Or do they see something impressive but different from what the other sees?

Mind blown. So that's what he looked like to Annie and Mort.

I liked the half disbelieving "But it's myyyyyyyy roooooooooooom..." as he was banished from his own domain. And now I'm imagining that guy being played by Michael Cera. *hangs head and walks away sadly*

At first I didn't realize there was a new strip, because it's so visually similar to Friday’s.
Also:
What kinda scam is this?!

Yeah, I'm confident it does only Party Hat-related things, and in particular that there's no nasty things going on. (I used my epic code reading skills.)
On the other hand, applause for the people who didn't run this, because better safe than sorry.

I wonder if they pronounce ROTD as "Arr Oh Tee Dee" or as "rotted".

They keep telling him the dead can't operate a business and the Court really isn't the place for a nightclub anyway I mean it's hardly scientific or educational.

Came here to say "Suddenly, they are stoned." Guess that's a bit unnecessary, what with the hivemind and all.

No no no. It will go like this "Well, yeah, I kind of expected you were more into Gamma, but I understand that she's too tied to Zimmy. Would love you to steal her from that witch, though." Not expecting this, but if it would happen, I called it. Oh, and if there's a huge explosion and Robot comes along and says "Come with me if you want to live," I called it as well.

Next page: "Wait, so you were making out with Paz and not just giving her a friendly hug? So you're gay? <insert homophobic slur here>" If that happened it would be horrible, but at least I can say I called it.

It's said that when we see other people in detail, but ourselves abstractly. So to create the most empathy for a character, it can be more effective to draw their face as just an emotion. That could be it, but I think it's due to a combination of two things: 1. Abstract drawings are more general: you can see seven million people in something as simple as " ", but the Mona Lisa only looks like 1 person. 2. Abstract is harder to fuck up than a more realistic style (see: uncanny valley).
