Is terror ghost a special kind of ghost?

Sheet. This page was so full of good title-lines that I cannot but feel that I chose the wrong one. I guess I would have felt like that which ever line I had chosen.
Nice they discuss ends for a change. So, if Jeanne is released into the ether, I'd imagine it to be potentially a huge etheric power to someone. The Carver girl perhaps?

Mystery solved..? Yeah not really.
And since when does Eggers have extensive knowledge on terror ghosts? Time spent with Renard?

Is terror ghost a special kind of ghost? Probably similar to a rage ghost. For a second I thought Annie was referring ti Kat as the court medium, but then realized she meant Smitty. Yes Annie, times have changed.

Slowly but surely, Tom figures out profiles.
ETA: And they should free her, but no one's asking how much she does as a barrier. If it's just a little, small amount, no harm done. Larger amounts or larger things, this will get interesting.

Larger amounts or larger things, this will get interesting. Yeah you're right on that, we don't know how much of a barrier she is. The two court faries seemed to have gotten over to the court side of the river annan just fine. Edit: Remember those tree-dogs from the flashback chapter which carried the shadowmen? Doesn't seem like Jeanne was able to stop those, then again, they probably used the bridge. Edit: actually, no, she landed on the forest side of the gorge. Still, she either ignored the faeries or didn't see them.

Here's to hoping they think of what the ramifications of freeing Jeanne might be. Donlan has a very nice nose in panel 7. I don't think legs are supposed to bend like that, Annie

Time to play the devil's advocate, but she's down there for a reason, Carver. The court had used a life to keep the forest's denizens away from Gunnerkrigg, and we only have what appears to be the "forest" side of the story and Jeanne's side of the story. Who knows what other reasons could be revealed when the court's story is put in a more open light?
Also I still think this is an awful idea. Eglamore, stop them.

That's completely different, they were killed and given new bodies (somehow?), the court and the forest seem to have some kind of agreement on that, it's kinda like exchange students. They probably just went over the bridge. Edit: Remember those tree-dogs from the flashback chapter which carried the shadowmen? Whatever the reason may be, it doesn't justify killing two people (the green one and Jeanne) and trapping the soul of (at least) one. It's time for Jeanne not to be an agonizing victim anymore. If it destroys the court because they have to rely on methods like this, the court should be destroyed. Wait, I'm the advocatus diaboli too now, right? They want to do this for compassion, not for justice, and I think they wouldn't agree with my conclusion.

Don't forget, also, that Diego wanted revenge on Jeanne for rejecting him, and seems to have manipulated the Founders into taking the course they did so that he could have her murdered without being punished for it - simply have it be a form of judicial murder.
There are other ways to handle quarrels with the forest, such as diplomacy.

Though, in the end, it's really a morals debate until we get the full story from the court (which may never happen if Tom continues on the trend he seems to have been on since this web-comic started). Though, in my completely and utterly humble opinion, what are two souls compared to the weight of an entire civilization? Yes, I'd probably be singing a different tune if I was in Jeanne's place, but fortunately I am not. Depending on the real background behind Jeanne, I may or may not back up this plan if the court is relying on Jeanne a lot more than what we're being shown. This is true! However, I wasn't really looking at the source of the bodies, so much as the reason behind it. Yeah, it's sad that she was chosen, but the stance on the matter wouldn't really change if it was her or someone else. It is a sad predicament she is in, though.

Andrew just earned some pretty big points with me, asking the question not only how they're going to get this one, but if they should do it at all. That's an important question that's all to often forgotten to ask.

Which is a good thing for..? Also I still think this is an awful idea. Eglamore, stop them. Ah, but he doesn't know. Even that Jeanne is there. Oops. "Someone else's problem" really fell into someone else's hands.

If he does have true power, I believe he slouches because he looks down on the forest, not because he's too lazy to sit up and is not looking at their problems. He looks like a tired man with a lot on his plate, or a very lethargic man with a very boring role. Also that's why they need to tell him so he can slap them. Hope Carver got another "emergency" stick. edit; Alright, maybe he is too lazy to sit up! I'm not very sure, but either way there's more people than Mr. Slouchie Mc Slouchenston in the court and I'm sure they have problems.

Is anyone else bothered by Panel 1? I smell someone's pants on fire - but not Kat's. Everyone, including the adults...maybe even especially the adults...loved her anti grav device. There is no way they would just dismantle it. Not with their desire for power and control. For instance...Anti-grav device inside a room = ability to suspend subjects in the air without their control = great jail. It's like the prison the Incredibles are locked in, without the weakness to barriers. Take it - yes. Steal it - yes. Try to modify it for their own plots - yes. Destroy it - no.

That's what she wants, so it will almost certainly not work out like that. But, judging by the chapter title, she will visit the ether. Robot is not shown in today's update,I wonder what he and his followers think about freeing Jeanne's spirit.

There is no way they would just dismantle it. Not with their desire for power and control. I didn't see much desire for power and control there. Haughtiness and desire to play stupid games because they don't have much actuall needs, perhaps. Hence methodological pickiness to ludicrous degree (it's not old good "poking everything with a finger" now, it's "will we poke that with a finger or don't bother?") and borderline apathy - e.g. disrepair.

"Well, now's your chance to do something!" *robots all short circuit while attempting to process the thought* Edit: actually, seriously, Robot's probably going to use this as fuel for his new religion. The more I think about this, the old religion is "She died, and we did nothing.". But his new religion is throwing off the cloak of Jeanne's death as original sin, with "The Angel freed Jeanne from death" and therefore the original sin is no more. I wonder if the whole robot community IS following Robot, or if Robot's religion is just a cult at this point...?

It could be plausible that she is more than a barrier stopping things from crossing the river. If she was just that, she would be very ineffective at it. The ravine is still passable by air or even just a bridge. At the moment there's just one bridge, so "traffic" is easily monitored by both sides. But it wouldn't be exactly hard to add to that, especially if the additional bridges/zip-lines were removable after use and thus mobile. The biggest obstacle would be the alarms on the Court-side and we have seen those bypassed multiple times. From what I got the gang's original plan was to just get back to Jeanne again before giving anyone (including Jones) any kind of information about her. Now they are talking about freeing her ASAP, which could be very stupid. Jeanne was trapped there unjustly and freeing her should be their ultimate goal. As the Court's and forest's mediums they arguably have the official authority to do so by now, and given the information we have it is obviously the morally right thing to do. But they aren't thinking about what they are unleashing. It may be against Parley's wishes, but not to at least consult Jones seems uncharacteristically stupid. Since robot is apparently party to the the whole thing, maybe they should ask how the robots would react to Jeanne being freed. The robots are by design regretful about Jeanne's fate. Could be even considered their Original Sin.

I agree to a degree, but we still don't know the whole story. I think her rejection may have pushed him into a passive role, rather than one of opposition to the plan. He states that it has to be her. I imagine, that someone with a special Etheric presence had to be used. I don't think Diego had the stones to initialize a plan like that, though he certainly played along in the end. But who can say?... Jeanne's uniqueness is, for now, a mystery. As far as we know, Jeanne was the water elemental version of Annie, thus her connection to the water. Or something else entirely. Who knows what ramifications releasing her will cause? Of course, that could be Coyotes plan all along. But an the other hand, what would we want done to release Annie from such a centuries old trap, controlling some fire thingy that powers a children's hospital?... quasi-evil children? As mentioned above, what they're suggesting lies in a very grey area. Right thing or not, it certainly requires some debate.
