Heh. I can just imagine someone wearing one at a convention, a bunch of GC fans gathering around to coo over it... and the person wearing it saying "HEY GUYS, SO HOW ABOUT COYOTE'S TOOTH?" ;D If I had one, I would totally take it off before saying another word. Coyote creeps me out.

I guess that clears that up.
Anwyn meaning "fair" could be a good lead. Reminds me of the "fair folk", referring to fairies or elves. Perhaps family of Mr Green Guy?

I find it odd that Renard seems surprised(?) by the fact that Annie smells like the forest after she spent an entire summer there and looks like a tree barfed on her. Wow. Annie has grown up from the time in the forest. Does anyone else think in the last panel, Annie looks scarily like Surma? YES. I rarely post here, but I just have to say that This. Strip. Is. Adorable. One of your best ever, Tom. Sentiment: shared.

I thought it was obvious it was Annie clonking, but the comments in this thread make me wonder...
Also, I found the third panel hilarious. Am I a bad person now?

I super love City Face's excellent way of making things peaceful and also friendly even in the angry and triple competitive world of human businessmanship. I agree, his diplomatic skills are triple sweet and also super excellent.

Jones. With messy hair. And feathers. And still stoic. How epic is that?

Not so much wild speculation as a wild question, but what would happen if Andrew went bowling for example? Would he only make strikes, or not manage to knock a single pin because that's less entropic? Or something else entirely?

He might not (probably not) wasn't thinking of the consequences of reproduction at the time... Also, she's like... what was it? Twelve? Thirteen? But Annie's just a kid... he's not worried she's about to run off and get pregnant. He's probably just seeing if "do you like boys" gets an "ewwwwwww" response or a "blush" response. That's a normal thing most parents ask. And there's that.

But still. When it gets as big as Partyhat!Jones it will be even greater. Although the party hat thing seems to have burnt out a bit.

My second thought was ruder than that and involved asking Ysengrin where his current binding is wrapped around. Well, his wolf body doesn't show any, but that made me think if he can regrow or replace a wooden limb. Is this as awful a pun as I think it is?

Interesting. Would Coyote want Annie to find out? Given that Coyote seemed to be ignorant of what exactly the Court did to make the Annan impassible, I suspect he likewise doesn't know what fate befell Greeney McElfboy. Yes, probably. I realized the same some time ago.

Just had a thought about the family Annie stays with over the summer. What if they are related or knew about another forest dweller? One shot with an arrow while meeting his lover? Interesting. Would Coyote want Annie to find out? Also, I predict that while Ysengrin will act cold around Annie, I imagine she will gain at least his respect before the end of the summer. Yeah, probably.

Yeah, ok, like Miss "I can see a tiny seed fall to the floor while an enraged wolf-tree symbiont bangs his wooden axe-arm of doom against a technomagic labyrinth shield" Jones is going to miss that fancy new bracelet appearing. Fat chance. It could be invisible to anyone other than Coyote and Annie?

I'm guessing it's probably 'cos Annie is like, a huge favourite of Coyote and got all that attention and stuff. A huge favourite who's going to get her hand cut off if she talks? wait this is Coyote this could be a trick. maybe it won't cut off her hand. but does she really want to test Coyote's word? Coyote doesn't lie, I think Jones said that a while back. (Cue someone who knows exactly when and where that was said.)

And then time froze up, and nothing Annie knew ever moved again.
She died lonely.
No, I really don't have a clue what's going on.
Also, I guess I was wrong about Annie forgetting about Kat and Rey.
EDIT: alt+s my ass.

Knowing Annie, she will probably ruin everything with Kat, Rey, even Eglamore by being worse than Boxbot, and be forgiven at the end of the chapter regardless. What do you mean by "ruin everything" with these folks? What will she do that needs forgiving? Leaving them without even a heads up? I assumed that was what was going to take place. To everyone who's wondering what Rey will do while Annie's in the Wood: recall that Coyote claimed Rey only remains in the Court because of his love for Annie. Rey may insist on joining Annie in Gillitie. In fact, I know a few other people have suggested that Coyote's real reason for allowing Annie to stay is because he hoped Rey would join her. That actually makes a lot of sense. It would really be something for Coyote to do. So she only leaves Kat then? I'm not sure how Eggers is involved, really. Although I don't expect him to like this.

ETA: Also, Coyote claims he "can almost feel how anxious" Jones is to return to the Court. So Coyote can sense anticipation or eagerness in Jones. Or he is just bluffing. Which I think is more likely, because anticipation and eagerness are not words I associate with Jones. So Annie just ditched Kat for the summer. And Kat's homework book is still in her room. I think there will be fallout. Probably. Good observation on the homework, btw, completely forgot about that. Knowing Annie, she will probably ruin everything with Kat, Rey, even Eglamore by being worse than Boxbot, and be forgiven at the end of the chapter regardless.

EDIT: How does it add more fuel to the theory? We have learned nothing we didnt already know. Which angers me. Coyote's phrasing of the whole things lends some fuel. [Edit: Just had a horrible thought. Etheric sciences work on the principle that events happen just because they do right? What if Tom goes along with that principle, and decides never to state why Surma and Annie are like this? Meh. I think it's more that etheric sciences never explain how, they could give a "why" though.

Ms. does not necessarily mean the woman is married/divorced. In North America it is the default status regardless of marital status, so we really have no idea (as of yet) how many hearts she broke via divorce, if she is some kind of black widow serial killer, or if she is a repeat offender of identity fraud But it's not special, is it? Doesn't Annie call her that often, to which she say to call here just Jones?
