It must be like the Whiteleg that Jack picked up. However, it's a pigeon. An ethereal pigeon. That has taken root on Kat's head. Explains everything. That's what I thought as well. Kat has similar black lines around her eyes as Jack had. oooh maybe Gamma meant that KAT needed Zimmy's help...not Annie. I'm with you. Also: a pidgeon hat topic to complement the party hat one?

Currently catching up on HS, I wanted a break, so I came here. And now this :/
I do write stories myself, but not fan fiction. I guess this thread would be an especially good place for short pieces. Longer ones are probably better off at a dedicated site.

My first though when reading panel 3 was that they can communicate telepathically via the magic computer. If it has a phone tracing program, it probably has a text editor. ethermacs?

Another thing people might do to support Tom financially is make a small donation (and you get a wallpaper!)
Because the chance you can afford a bit of money is much higher than that you can afford making a decent donation, it could help Tom swim in money in the long run. Say, if thousand people donate £1, that gets Tom more money than if ten people donate £10.
Anyway, I have matters to attend to (switching off my ad-blocker on Gunnerkrigg's site and forum).

I was hoping someone would have made a "She took a shine to him. He was a terrible guy!" image by now. That, or a derp-face in the opportunity thread.

Also how incredible would it be if it turns out that Jones really is just a massive troll who sets people up in wacky situations purely for the hell of it. Setting up Parley and Smits? Just seemed like it would be funny. Telling Annie to go hang out with a roomful of fairies knowing full well she's probably going to do something stupid? Hilarity ensues. Truly Jones is the master troll to end all trolls. A massive troll with one hell of a poker face. I like it.

I guess without his hood, he looks more conspicuous than with it. Or maybe he is really attached to it because robot has one too.

Red with a job? Inconceivable! You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means. I disagree. Having a job (especially a well-paid one) is a big deal for humans either. But it isn't a "doing magic" kind of big deal for humans, is it?

Welp. There's an anti-climax.
I wonder why "whatevs" and "teacher lady" and so on don't qualify as names?
Or maybe it has to be an outsider?

"About three things I was absolutely positive: First, Boxbot was a robot. Second, there was a part of him - and I didn't know how dominant that part might be - that thirsted for my blood. And third, I unconditionally and irrevocably found him terrible." Oh god, I know where that's from. Kill me. Kill me now.

"Dat fish guy"? Do they not have names, or does Red just not care to learn them? Is the story title coming up soon? She didn't know the name of her blue-haired friend either. So either fairies care not about names (or at least names of people they're not related to (see City Face)), or Red is pretty anti-social. Maybe not all fairies have names, and Red just assumed that the fish guy has no name either. Or he really doesn't have a name, I dunno.

Of course, the real question I would ask is WHY or HOW she has perceived his presence. I guess it's a benefit of being able to warp reality. Or just Robot not hiding very well.
