Been a long time since we've seen mort! I wonder what special circumstances at the time of death allowed him to stay? I suppose the Realm Of The Dead is going to get involved somehow.

Mort comes through with valuable intel!
Really, who better to ask, unless Annie wants to summon Ketrak again?

Mort comes through with valuable intel! Really, who better to ask, unless Annie wants to summon Ketrak again? Not like Ketrak would be of much help, and we don't even know which psychopomp would normally have taken care of Jeanne. Maybe a French one or maybe a generic christian one?

Look at Annie's face after Mort says "THE REALM OF THE DEAD".

Look at Annie's face after Mort says "THE REALM OF THE DEAD". Good catch. She looks hyper excited to see her psychopomp friends again, or maybe knows exactly what he is talking about but just didn't catch the acronym. Edit: Or is that her derp face? The smile at the same time as the suddenly small pupils is slightly confusing. Or is that the thousand mile stare?

MORT! Look at Annie's face after Mort says "THE REALM OF THE DEAD". I am reminded of a certain forumite's avatar; although I can't remember whose it is... (I think it was changed.) But that look is just going to be an excellent opportunity...

I wonder if they pronounce ROTD as "Arr Oh Tee Dee" or as "rotted".

Well it was Muut who origionally asked Annie to help free Jeanne to go into the afterlife, all those comics ago

Clearly Mort's special circumstances are that he isn't much good at scaring, the ghost equivalent of a disability.

Clearly Mort's special circumstances are that he isn't much good at scaring, the ghost equivalent of a disability. Yeah, imagine how creepy someone else could have made the Realm of the Dead seem. Actually it seems that he was just a kid who was afraid to move on, but also afraid to be left behind. Someday he may come to terms with death, or find a better purpose.

ROTD has some nice meanings. Gee, has Annie taking smiling lessons from Jones? She has a kinda "psycho-killer with a knife behind her back"-look.

Good, more Mort.
Can never have too much Mort.
Looks like we'll be having possible adventures in the ROTD before meeting Jeanne!

Look at Annie's face after Mort says "THE REALM OF THE DEAD". Here's Annie! Is it just me or does Annie have a disturbing tendency to this unexplainable excitement only in situations related to death, blood, fight and killing? It's as if, from the moment she here's the "Realm of the Dead" she was extremely excited to go and put some people there. Edit: Oh damned, there goes the word "only"... still, she is disturbingly excited in these occasions.

I think it was said that Moort was quite young. What "young" means in ghost terms is anyone's guess. Still, the thought alone... daaamn. Wild wild speculation here, but... Green guy = forest spirit, right ? The life expectancy for a tree comes from a hundred year to millenaries for some species, so... Young, hey... Could be 100 years old and looking 20, and a "recent" death some 80~100 years ago... *excited*
