I hurt myself laughing too much, when I tried to do Coyote. Sigh...

I have to echo sandjosieph. Soymilk, those were good voices... Especially surprising was Andrew's. Talented female voice-actresses are somewhat rare... Hence why you tend to hear the same set of actresses doing voices in just about every cartoon stateside. Your energy was VERY good, especially for Parley. Makes me wish we'd seen more of her, so you could give us more.

I hurt myself laughing too much, when I tried to do Coyote. Sigh... Is that laughing at yourself, or trying to do Coyote's laugh? Either are understandable, really. He's quite a difficult character.

Jumping on the bandwagon of Soymilk as Parley fans. Her character is comedic by nature, and your voice for her is very cheery; it makes me smile just hearing it.
I know we don't need her until quite a bit later, but has anyone tried for the Blue Suicide Fairy yet? I'd like to take a crack at her.

Yes! Soymilk is awesome! Do you do this stuff professionally? (And who is the Andrew? Is that you too soymilk? ? If yes, I am in awe :x... And would ask you to teach me the awesome !)

Wow, I'm really happy that you guys like it. Andrew is voiced by a friend of mine (I only wish I had a range like that XD). He hasn't read GC yet, but I will remedy that shortly.

By the way, what's Coyote's accent? American. Nooooooo! My dreams are in tatters! I'm going to do it anyway

I expect I would love that so much more if I knew what Samus sounded like. Unfortunately I only have the odd "Hup!" and various other noises from Smash Bros to go on. I fear I am coming down with a cold, so I will try to get my Coyote audition up before I am completely incapacitated. However, it is half 4 in the morning right now, so not at this precise moment... You can check her voice from Super Smash bros. or on Youtube, I think... And so looks like this in reality... a Blond version of Parley.

I might have to get a proper mic - the one in my laptop isn't up to much, and Audacity isn't helping. It whistles and loses volume randomly.

I decided to join up today once I saw this thread!
I'd love to at least audition for Coyote, since he seems like a really fun character to portray. I just recorded my audition for him, and I've already PM'd sandjosieph to get the youtube password, so I guess I'm just waiting on that before I can upload it.
It was late when I recorded it, so I didn't get to try out as much maniacal laughter as I'd hoped, but I still hope you guys think it sounds ok.

I'm more than willing to try out for the spot of "Mort" but can someone tell me exactly HOW I can do that? I'm a bit technilogically challenged.
UPDATE: I went ahead and downloaded a movie maker for my computer, but I still need to know how to get my voice onto the computer. (Also, if someone could tell me how to get individual frames from the comic, that would be great. Right now, all I can do is right click/save and I just end up getting the whole page.)

Awesome, I uploaded my Coyote audition. I did a whole scene just to get into the flow of it. I also want to try out Muut. It's very amateurish but I hope you guys think it sounds ok. Coyote Audition - XanBcoo: www.youtube.com/watch?v=hLqK_X0JBEY

I saw someone already tried out for General Ysengrin, but I might as well take a swing at it too. I have my audition recorded, and I suppose for now I'll just upload it to my own Youtube account and link it here. If it's good enough for consideration, could someone give me the account password so I can upload it to the GKC account? My audition. www.youtube.com/watch?v=KWBL5WBeXRk

but can someone tell me exactly HOW I can do that? I'm a bit technilogically challenged. Seconded! I have no idea how people are getting their recordings so clear. Mine always fade and whistle at random points, even after Noise Removal. Maybe it removes too much noise... (Also, if someone could tell me how to get individual frames from the comic, that would be great. Right now, all I can do is right click/save and I just end up getting the whole page.) If I want a single panel I Copy/Paste the page into Paint and Cut it out, clear the image and Paste it back in.

I'm not a pro at this stuff, but this is what I've done that has helped reduce the white noise . To get the recording clearer, best thing to do is to not stand too close to your computer since that thing hums and buzzes like madness. If you have an integrated mic, make sure you are as close to your mic as physically possible. Just don't be so close to it you can bite it . Recording in a quiet spot of your house also does wonders, but I know not everyone has that luxury (I live in a pretty inconsiderate neighbourhood for one :/). In those cases, close all doors and windows and things like that to block out as much outside noise as possible. This includes windows, doors, etc. that are not connected to your room . When you are recording, try to do it at a louder volume than you would usually speak and keep the distance between you and your mic constant (so don't go swinging to and fro or you get the 'louder LOUDER soft softer nuthing' effect ). Also, when there is background music plastered in the final thing, you won't actually notice the whistling etc. as much as when you listen to it without. Hope this helps somewhat.

Hey guys, I think this is really neat. And although my soft Canadian accent isn't suited for any of the characters, if there's any music you people need done, or ambient stuff, I'd be more than happy to give a shot at it.
Or if some random soft-accented person shows up, I'd be more than happy to come. =P
And I agree with the critique. Try it more natural when you're voice acting- my advice is to have a friend there and say the lines to them, if you can do it without bursting into laughter all the time.
Oh, and soymilk IS parley.

I'm sure that if I can at least get the audio and images, I can fit them together in the movie maker, but I need to audio that's on my phone to go to my computer. PS, thank you for the picture thing.

Hey, I caught a glimpse of this thread and I want to give ol' Jones a try, since I'm from The States. Even if it crashes and burns, at least I'll know where I stand in becoming a voice actor.

Several of us have contributed some music but I was thinking that we should all at least agree on a unifying melody to connect them all. So far, I've been using this lullaby as a recurring theme.

Welp, I gave Muut a shot. I've always imagined him having a very low voice, but not one booming with bass. I tried to go for that: www.youtube.com/watch?v=8VSKhqRXRCoThis has been fun to make.

I love your voice, but it's not how I personally imagined muut.
sandjosieph, I love that theme! I will be more than happy to do random crap with it. ;D Did you want to stick to a mostly bells and choral theme or just whatever can be eerie?

Feel free to mess with it as much as you want. As long as it's recognizable. I've used it in this test video as well, only in a much more dramatic fashion.

I can do the support cast, because since I was young, I could manipulate my voice even to the point of a full grown man's... ho ho ho.
I use this to creep people out. Send shivers down their spine as they turn back and yell at me "What the hell are you doing?!"

Xanbcoo I did not care for your Muut, but I thought you did great on Coyote! Your voice has a quality that seems to fit Coyote's personality. I was thinking about auditioning for him too but I don't think I could top your Coyote.

I was thinking about auditioning for him too but I don't think I could top your Coyote. That and his Coyote laugh was exactly what I image it would sound like. I imagine Muut to have more of an intimidating voice anyway. Much like this guy: Or maybe even this guy: (or more better known as Kronk from The Prince's New Groove, and Brock Sampson from the Venture Bros.)
