FuzzyOne is perfect for Eglamore's voice, i think. I've just listened to a couple of auditions.
Is there anyone here that can sound good with some foreign accent? Italian maybe? In that i can help. (I'm serious, try to think something up).
obligatory LAUGHING ON LINE: I'm sorry i'm not a spanish girl, but instead an italian guy..geez, for Paz that would have been perfect.

I can do some really weird voice manipulations without the help of a program.
For example, I once impersonated a printer..

I couldn't wait to put this Mort one up, so I made my own youtube account and posted it there. You may have to turn the volume up a little, and it's a bit disjointed, but let me know how it is. Here it is. I'll send all future tapes to the official channel once i get the password.

I like the nervous little stutter you gave Mort.

Alright, it seems I am having trouble getting my music to sound right. You folks might as well start recording lines in earnest for the time being.

Alright. Who's who? I'll gladly supply incidental voices, like one-shot characters... But we DO need main roles Identified so we can start doing this properly. Also, Who/where do we send our voice-samples for merging into one coherent movie?

I think Meagan's got the part of Annie well underway. We still need a Robot and I can provide Shadow2's noises. And upload the final mixes on the main GKCFanProject YouTube profile. Just be sure to include the word Final in the title. I will take the voices from there and mix them.

I'm trying a few things to put a Tinny sound to my voice, as I lack any sort of sound-editing software. But, I would be willing to toss up a quick MP3 of me doing Robot's lines, if that'll help us get underway. I don't want to seem like I'm trying to be everybody... But I enjoy doing Multiple, varied voices. If me talking into a plastic cup doesn't have the right sound, I'll just record it straight, and let someone monkey with it as they see fit. Edit: Robot attempt is up. Here.

Hey, all. Relatively (read: almost completely) new here, but I do greatly enjoy a good fan project (trying to get several parody-dubs going for various anime with different issues holing up each). So I guess I was wondering what roles were still open, unless there haven't been any decisions made at all. I'm... not necessarily all that flexible vocally, though I can do ridiculous exaggerations sometimes (I do a decent old-timey prospector), and my natural voice is relatively deep (I make a pretty good narrator). I guess my natural inclination would be towards trying for Reynardine or something, if his role is open (it does seem to be fairly competed-over). I'd include Eglamore in that but if I have an accent it's a northeastern-US one (which is more pronunciation of particular words than an overall sound, is how I think it would be categorized), so that might not work out. Of course, not really knowing how much time I have to devote to this, I could probably do a smallish role too (Dr. Disaster might be fun if no one's on deck for him). Although I can't say as I see it being tremendously involved for the individual voice actors so much as the person coordinating everything. Anyway, if you're not sick of Reynardine auditions, or if you have any other suggestions for roles that need to be filled, I could give it a shot at least. My mic's a bit of a struggle sometimes but I can usually get something tolerable out of it. Oh, and for the record the reason I wouldn't include Coyote with that, even though it's been stated that he'd have a (native) American accent, is that I think he really has to be a Mark Hamil-Joker type voice... you know, not that exactly, but something eerily high pitched perhaps. Pretty sure I can't do that, so. (Edit Again: Actually, on second thought I might be able to come up with an interpretation that I could do for him if it's needed) Edit: Oh right, I can actually give you a sample of my voice at least offhand, if anyone wants to recommend how I might put it to use. More or less my natural voice narrating here.

We probably could use someone for Dr. Disaster. You could even record your lines now so they will be ready for the future. Would you like the password?

Well, I could certainly give it a try sometime (preferably when there is no one around to look at me funny for shouting "SPACEMONAUTS!"). So yeah, if you could send me the password I'll see what I can do.
That didn't exactly answer if there were still other roles open or not, though, Disaster being a one-off character and all. Would it be cool to give Reynardine a shot just to see what people think? Also--you didn't have Muut on your list, just because it's a small role or is that one taken care of? I'm just sort of running down any characters I would think of as having fairly deep voices, so.
(I actually probably exaggerated the "Don't know how much time I'll have," thing; I have a bad habit of hesitating when it comes to committing myself to anything I'm not more or less in charge of. I suspect it'd be no problem.)

Ah, I see. In that case, for the sake of organization, might I recommend changing the first post to reflect the current state of who's up for what part? As it stands it's a little awkward since there doesn't seem to be a full list handy for anyone who might be coming into the project currently.
Anyway, perfectly happy to give Dr. Disaster a shot, even if it is rather far in advance of the necessity at this point. I'll see if I can come up with something in the next couple of days.

Apart from Kat, I have also done an impression of Boxbot for shits and giggles... However, I have no software to distort it into roboty terribleness (or awesomeness, in the event it's being used for Robox). If anyone is interested in distorting it to full terribleness, I can provide them with my Boxbot voice .

Acherus, Could you also throw a not-so-terrible distortion onto my Robot sample? Maybe make it sound a little more... Robotic? It would be much appreciated, as I can't seem to find any trick to do so myself on the recording end. Even tried holding a metal bowl over my mouth... still sounded normal.

It's the one I popped up as Robot Final through the GKFanProject Youtube. If you'd prefer the original I can do that, but if you don't need it, it's already available.

It looks like all we need is a Butlerish type voice for the snooty guy who comes for annie at the end of Chapter one, And, of course, Meagan's Annie narration, and chapter one can go up, unless there's anyone else who'd rather do Robot... For Next chapter, I also have voices for Basil, Winsbury, and the Boring Literature Teacher (was originally going to audition with that, then changed my mind and made one for Eglamore/Reynardine instead). As stated earlier, doing voices is one of my hobbies, and I'd be happy to supply smaller, more incidental characters who only come along every once in a while.

What?! Things are getting cast already? Where was I? Where was the warning? Give a deadline or something! I know this isn't really a Voice Acting/Fandub site or anything, but is a few days notice too much to ask?
Sorry, I don't mean to sound bent out of shape, but I've been really busy lately. I don't think its fair to judge the auditions received just yet. I think the whole project could benefit from a little bit more coordination and finesse. Deadlines are your friends. They offer people a chance to deal with their own personal issues but know exactly when they have to buckle down and work. I know accommodations have been made thus far for people just joining in, but without deadlines it makes it seem like the first person to auditiongets the role. This obviously isn't true, but for the sake of everyone getting a sporting chance at the roles they want (and especially for those who deserve a chance) it would be nice to see some better ground rules for auditioning.

The casting hasn't been decided yet (i think one more month should do it), I was suggesting that people try recording some of there dialogue in earnest so I can get a feel for mixing them into a test video.
Yeah, so one more month should do it. Unless others want it to go on longer.

Audition! DO IT! Even if no one else thinks you should, do it anyway. We should be looking for the best voices we can find, without caring about such petty things as "feelings." I'd say that we not make reservations for specific people until the actual recording starts, so that the best possible voices for each part can be found.

Yeah, and then you'll never get the project going, because you'll get bogged down in endless auditions and selection process and hurt feelings and lost motivation. A fan project is something made for FUN. Why have only one Annie? It's not like we're stuck with only one chapter here, there's more than twenty. Plenty of time for everyone to get their Annie or Reynardine on. This is not a professional project, should not be treated like that or it'll never get off the ground. I say go with what you've got so far, don't stall it now just because a few late-comers got their feathers ruffled. The project has been underway for a while now. Everyone could've taken part if they'd wanted to, and still can. Edit: it seems that I have rashly misinterpreted the posts above mine, thus rendering my comment kiiind of idiotic. Sorry guys.
