Erm, gender non conforming? I don't know, actually. I guess I consider myself a guy, but I can't be bothered with the traditional male roles that is expected of being male. How can you tell? I'm kind of the polar opposite of Lit, an anti-gender-dork. I'd like it if someone would explain to me how 'not being bothered with traditional male roles' makes you less of a guy. I have no idea. Wait, lemme read the first page and see if they have an explanation on what gender is.

Or, I suppose, determine? Non-"popular understanding of traditional male role"-conforming cisdude. Ta-da! I've always taken cis/trans* as something apart from gender roles - known too many straight, cis tomboys.

Okay I just can't be bothered. I identify as myself. Specifically, lazy cat gamer person with penis who's self-conscious, self-deprecates and enjoy looking fashionably presentable. (Waistcoats, yo!) Edit: Non-"popular understanding of traditional male role"-conforming cisdude. Ta-da! I've always taken cis/trans* as something apart from gender roles - known too many straight, cis tomboys. Actually, no! We're on the internet and I can be whatever I want! I am Oscar, the feline human psychopomp with the spirit of a horned hedgehog that shoots death and fabulosity!

Or, I suppose, determine? Serious answer: Gender Non-conforming Female Identified Cisgender Female (I have put way too much thought into this stuff over the years.) I'm guessing you would be something like Eyemyself's classification here. Although, according to Google, Gender-nonconforming means that you don't follow people's stereotypes about a gender. This bothers me on a couple of levels - first, because however indirectly, you are allowing other people to define your gender, and second, because it just seems too vague in general. How does how you act define your gender? I always thought that your gender defined how you acted.

See, most of that shouldn't be part of your gender. I tend to refer anyone who thinks that an affinity for waistcoats is part of your gender to the material covered by /r/tumbrinaction (if you don't know and can't guess what it is, proceed with caution.)

... and quoting is broken, apparently. Since you're a guy/girl you do masculine/feminine things (and I'm talking about fairly base psychological tendencies here, not things like breaking the stereotypes like spending far too long shopping as a guy).
Oh, it's broken because you deleted your post. Why would you do that?
*mostly upset because it makes it look like I triple posted*

How does how you act define your gender? I always thought that your gender defined how you acted. Hmm, I would say you simply ARE your gender (or lack thereof) and that the things you do are masculine/feminine/neutral because you are. I remember a documentary about keeping boys in school and one school split the sexes up. An interesting side effect was that the boys picked up games that heretofore had been "girls only". The games themselves were neutral, they only became "masculine/feminine" when interacted with. ... and quoting is broken, apparently. Since you're a guy/girl you do masculine/feminine things (and I'm talking about fairly base psychological tendencies here, not things like breaking the stereotypes like spending far too long shopping as a guy). Also, you have a lot of nonbreaking spaces in your posts - is this some weird proboards nonsense?

Rest assured, this was two double posts, not one quadruple post. SapientCoffee deleted his. Edit: And no it's not! Thank you, guys, for keeping it from looking like I'm talking to myself! Actually, no! We're on the internet and I can be whatever I want! I am Oscar, the feline human psychopomp with the spirit of a horned hedgehog that shoots death and fabulosity! I was going to say my sexuality is 'space' to be ironic but then I realized oh god, there's this whole spacekin thing.

Also, you have a lot of in your posts - is this some weird proboards nonsense? Um, lots of enters? I tend to use two enters where an enter and a tab would be more appropriate. ... and quoting is broken, apparently. Alright, so I marked 'male', I identify as male. I'm probably a straight dude, but there's a slim chance that I have homosexual tendencies (although it's probably the normal 14-year-old height-of-puberty nonsense, or fetishizing penises for some reason (can't imagine why *doesn't make eye contact*)

(Really, the nice thing about the internet, is you can show people some of that early art to prove we've pretty much always been obsessed with sex. None of this "what's the matter with kids today" piffle.)

You know, reading through this thread and thinking about the difficulties one would have to deal with when it comes to labels, I just wish that, you know, these things were just a bit simpler.
People should just enjoy the things they like, not having to worry about how it affects their identity, apart from their individuality.
If only we could just answer like this when someone asks: "I have a penis/vagina/both/neither functions properly and I like penis/vagina/both/none in particular. I also like stuff! And you?"
Of course, it's established that biological sex is complicated. But it really still shouldn't matter!
The only thing that might matter is getting a job to pay for food, shelter, clothing, and extras, regardless of anything. Sadly, whatever you are, a footlong subway lunch deal is still £5, those shoes still costs £XX(XX) (unless sale), you're gonna be evacuated if you don't pay up, but at least the PS4 is less expensive in its launch than the PS3.
