Something even more inappropriate and questionable Aaaaugh! You tease! PM me with the URL. I promise I've seen worse. ...For fucks sake Sierra and Reuben, now you got me interested too. I must know this secret... As for where I found it... I honestly don't remember. I'm pretty sure I read LFGcomic and OotS before I read Gunnerkrigg, so I might have found it through a link from one of those or something like that. Either way, I remember being hooked by the setting pretty much instantly. The art style was a bit offputting for me right at start, but I quickly grew to love it as it evolved. (I love the art at the very start of the story and I love the art we have know even more, but what I love the most is how it evolves. It just adds another brilliant layer to this brilliant comic.)

I think I found it from the comic DresdenCodak linking it in a blurb once.
the story was great (and still is) and I've stuck with it ever since, think I signed up to the forums just after catching up to archives.
it's so mysterious and intriguing.

I found it from a recommendation from a friend.
I like the artwork and the pacing. Tom really knows how to stretch something out while still making us interested.

Same reason I still read it today...again and again and again... even though I just discovered it on April 9 Though I do appreciate Tom making the character anatomy to be a bit more proportional. PS. If you want to know I'll PM it to you the link that made me discover GC.

I encountered Gunnerkrigg through funnyjunk, when the laser cows surfaced on the frontpage earlier this year. Oh yes, now I remember! It was this image that changed my mind. Because at first glance I had written GKC off as "too girly", but the laser cow convinced me to change my mind...

I remember I found it by searching things like "good online comics" on google, and posting questions asking for recommendations on answers yahoo. At that point, I had finally gotten into reading webcomics (with Vampirates - Canadian Vampire Pirates who want to sail to Saskatchewan) and was looking for more. Gunnerkrigg Court seemed to come up everywhere I looked, so I decided to check it out. I ended up reading everything in one go. I tried to keep up with the updates, but found that I was too impatient to wait for them one by one. I would do this thing where I would force myself forget about Gunnerkrigg Court, and then re-read the comic from the start every few months. In the end though, the story had gotten so interesting that it was impossible for me to not check updates every time they came out. Now I find that I actually like the suspense .

Hmm...let's see.....I remember the first page of GKC I saw was this, which was the current page at the time. I don't remember where I was linked to it from, IRC maybe? I remember at that time it seemed kind of silly and I wasn't that interested in it (I think I had kind of a bad impression of web comics in general), but I heard good things about it somewhere (I don't remember where that was either ) and I was bored one day so I decided to read it. The next day I was caught up

I actually found the comic through Digital Hills, years and years ago. I'm a very big fan of the game Jet Set Radio Future and I was led to Digital Hills through Tom's fan comic that he did. (which is amazing) From there I found the link to GC and I've been waaaaaay addicted ever since. More so recently, I just finished re-reading it and I'm going crazy for more. -.-"

I think I found it in 2008, probably through topwebcomics. I was captivated by the world and the mysterious elements. Wait. Nope, that's a lie, it was Annie's robo-disguise in chapter 12. At the time I read every webcomic I could find and limited myself to 25 bookmarked. Gunnerkrigg immediately booted another from the list and has remained there ever since, although now I only follow 5.

I found Gunnerkrigg after seeing the image of Mort's clown illusion on the "Monster Clown" page of TV Tropes. I then proceeded to read it all in one night (Ties had just finished at the time)

I used to frequent the MMO-champion forums a bit back when I played World of Warcraft, and on there I found some guy that had Annie in her robot disguise as his profile pic. I looked at his profile and he had a link to Gunnerkrigg somewhere and I just read it all in a day or two. Must have been back in 2008 or 2009.

Tom is gonna hate me, but it was TVTropes that got me here in late 2011 at the very beggining of 34. It started of a little rocky for me with the early chapters but I was completely sold by chapter 6.
Edit: It was the Noodle Incident page with the picture of the girls talking about the cursed teapot that convinced me to take a geez.

can't believe i hadn't posted here yet. basically found GKC in its first year of existence, I think roughly chapter 4, when it was nominated for a webcomics prize. I was looking for new comics to read via the shortlist/winners, and GKC was one of the only ones that I was really drawn to! I've clearly been addicted ever since

Fun story. There was a thread on 4chan and someone was dumping comics. Remember the strip where Annie asked Kat if she was thinking about building a robot? Someone had edited it so it was Annie asking Kat if she would like to have sex with her. Naturally everybody wanted sause, and a guy said it was from GC.
I read through the entire comic in like two days (it was up to where Jones was giving her life story) to find that panel. I think that that made me expect lesbians at some point, which is why I got so excited for today's strip.

TVtropes. Some page talking about the creepy aspects of various media. It had a decent section talking about all the creepy/atmospheric/unnerving aspects of this comic, and it intrigued me. I took a look, read every available strip in one sitting, reached the most recent strip, went to click on the next one, realized there wasn't a next one, cried out in dismay...and have been faithfully following along ever since. That was a few years ago

Hello! Also TV Tropes for me, but it was the Noodle Incident page, which has a panel from the cursed teapot incident. I was immediately intrigued, and I clicked it to learn about the work from which it was derived. As soon as they mentioned science and magic in the same sentence, I was sold.

In the Other Webcomics thread on the Sam and Fuzzy forums, a feller was all like "Oh snap, Annie!" and then later "Oh snap, Renard!" so I decided to check out what he and other folks were talking about. I ended up bookmarking the comic for later reading, but to my disgrace I was a lot later than I should have been getting back to it. By the time I finally got around to finishing the archives, this was the newest strip out. Been reading and enjoying ever since.

It seems I wasn't the only one who discovered GKC by way of a TVTropes-wikiwalk... I can't remember by what way, but I somehow landed on the Psychopomp page, featuring a picture which looked like some ancient wall painting with some mythical creatures from all over the world... and a small red-haired girl. I was like "What the helicopter is that?", so I clicked the pic, read the premise of the comic and decided to take a look... then decided to come back over the long weekend, when I could take the time to digest nearly 1200 pages of archive. Needless to say, I found it well worth the while...

I first saw it on TVTropes, as many others, and thought it looked cool, but logged it away as "get to someday". Then, it was mentioned in the EGS forum, and I thought, "I'd better check this out!" and have been hooked ever since.

I was like "What the helicopter is that?", Is that another of the forum's automatic censors? "What the helicopter"? ;D Anyway, I don't remember how I first came across Gunnerkrigg Court, though it was probably just me skimming across various webcomics out of boredom. But at the time it didn't really stick with me and I didn't read far; I think I was more out for light comedy at the time. But then one day I saw the first volume in the shelf of a local bookstore and I was so shocked to find a hardcover print of a webcomic that I thought it had to be something special and bought it on the spot. I read it through, then looked up the archives and read it all in one day. Needless to say, when the second volume came out soon after, I bought it at once, as well.

Well, you can think what you want of TVTropes, but one thing is certain: A lengthy and well-wicked article there is excellent advertisement. ... I just had the weird sense of deja vu as I was typing this response. Then I realized, I actually did write this before! Only in the wrong thread. ;D I stumbled across a link to GC somewhere in the depth of this forum thread. That alone was worth it to work myself through that abomination! Yes, of course I read the whole archives in one sitting. "This" forum thread at the time was open to the public. It was 300+ pages full of user-made motivational posters (some of which were actually quite good). One featured a few panels of CG, completely out of context. That was still enough to pique my interest. Man, that was ages ago. I think chapter numbers were still single digits.
