I dipped in the articles on tvtropes.org and ended up on the strips page. Eventually decided to read the comic to see what all the fuss was about! This. Though the specific page that convinced me to link here I don't exactly remember. I started reading in the middle of Chapter 16's updates sometime, and just took a long time to register for the forums.

Scary-Go-Round/Bad Machinery has had a link to GC for ages, and finally one day recently I thought, "Yeah let's DO this thing", very glad I did!

I was told by a friend, and I read a few chapters but stopped for a few months until he told me about it again.

I was looking at the creator of "F@NBOY$" twitter for any signs of a comic update when I noticed Tom Siddel's icon in the corner under "following" ...or followers i don't remember. It looked cool so I decided to read the comic. It's easily one of my favorites now.

I discovered it through 4chan of all places. There was a load of them posted. And as I quite enjoy reading, thought I'd go to the beginning. I've seen a couple of pages in /co/ , and then I saw Coyote and made up my mind to ask what was this comic, so I googled it up and noe I'm here

I was looking for comics published on internet. I browsed through topwebcomics.com for nice comics and found GunnerKrigg Court there.
I still don't understand why this comic is not on the number one position in the list, cause it's the best comic I've seen and the only one I just can't wait for to get updated.

I can't remember at this point precisely where I first heard about GC, although I'm sure it had been linked from more than one comic. To be honest the first time I tried to read it I started from the beginning, and was frightened off (sorry!) by the rather grotesque art for the primary character. I'm a little, er, picky that way.
At some later point I looked at more recent strips, which are very well drawn; I decided it was worth it to read through. I'm glad I did.

I found out about it through my sister who was told by some of her friends after complaining about having no more good Harry Potter fanfic to read... Unfortunately, she also shared her love of fanfic with me and now I am hooked

I've seen it around but didn't start to read until it showed up on The Webcomic List Awards. Glad I started, and wish I had started earlier.

I think it was either from another webcomic's links page, or recommended in a discussion on webcomics...
Now I recommend GC to everyone who's remotely interested in comics, because seriously it is the best quality story and art on the interwebs right now in my opinion.

I'll admit that I'm new: I was reading another comic during a very long, very boring dayabout a month ago, the-whiteboard.com/index.html , and they had a random link here. I read through it once... and then once more, and now I am indeed hooked as well!

I found Gunnerkrigg after Tom made a donation to the site he downloads his D&D podcasts from. Been a fan ever since.

I searched around for webcomics that included both my interest: science and mythology. I'm so happy such a work resides on the internet.

Long-time reader, new to forum; this is among my first handful of posts. I'm not 100% sure any more when I started reading GC -- it was from very early on, although not quite from the very beginning. I can't pin it down more precisely than "before strip #50". It's been interesting watching the art style evolve and settle. It's hard to tell because I've now re-read the series from the beginning at least three times. GC may have been recommended by a friend, or it may have been via QC, or it may have been via GG (before the Mechanicsburg wall), both of which I've read for a similarly long time. I tend to start reading the strips recommended by artists I like especially if more than one such recommendation appears.

The Whiteboard (you should read it, it's an awesome webcomic)recommended it. A bit uncertainly, I read GC. After the first reading, it was high up there. High enough that I reread it (I reread all my favourite webcomics eventually). I recently realised that GC tops: Yet Another Fantasy Gamer Comic Order of the Stick Remember Darths and Droids Irregular Webcomic DM of the Rings Goblins Sluggy Freelance Ps238 Nodwick Accursed Dragon Weregeek This Modern World Zebra Girl Girl Genius And Dr. Mcninja (which I found through GC)! All of the above webcomics, by the way, are also very good, and I'd highly recommend them (This Modern World is purely political, though, so be warned). But GC somehow tipped the scales of power.

I first discovered it through Neil Gaiman's blog, but let it go at the time.
Then, about a year and a half ago, it kept coming up in the webcomics thread on Gamespite's Talking Time forums. First one I remember was page 4 of "Blinking." I was especially intrigued by the Coyote chapter before it, and that got me to read the archives.
Now Gunnerkrigg is among Yotsuba&! and Naoki Urasawa on my list of comics I recommend at every opportunity.

TV Tropes. Yeah it ruins my life, but it kills me sweetly, softly. That and it brought me here, so I can forgive it.

I found gunnerkrigg court through a link at josh lesnick's 'Girly'. It´s an image of antimony holding renard, which i thought it was a cat. I started reading at 'The power station'. Later I'll find a drawing by Aron Diaz (dresdencodak) of Annie and Kat. (and other comics) Attachments:

Okay, this is probably going to sound pretty weird, but I just feel like I need to say it because if it wasn't for the court I would have no idea that webcomics ever existed. Occasionally when I'm so bored my eyes feel like they're going to pop out of my face, I go to a search engine somewhere and start typing random letters and phrases to see what I can find. In this manner, I discover many interesting things.. A good example would be my finding the anime Mythical Detective Loki Ragnarok when I put "loki" through a youtube search without even knowing a lick of the mythology behind the show. Loki was just a name I thought sounded cool. So one day, I was thinking about the Gunslinger Girl anime I had recently been watching and started typing phrases like "guning" "gunnnns" "gunner". You see I wasn't sure if I wanted to keep watching that anime or not due to the storyline moving soooo slowly and my terribly short attention span. Anyway, the search box suggested "Gunnerkrigg" so I pushed enter out of curiosity. When I saw the title Gunnerkrigg Court I immediately thought of a tennis court run by researchers where robots are used as players... No idea why, just seemed to work. I was hooked after five minutes of exploring the site and read the entire comic up to its last update in only two days. Because of this place I learned about the top 100 list of webcomics which led me to discover other awesome comics too. But this one will ALWAYS be my fav.

Someone had an Annie avatar at MMO-Champion so I found the URL of the image and so began my time here. I have enjoyed every page of this comic so far.
