That single bird is the Thousand Eyes, not one of them, not a part of a bird band called Thousand Eyes, but each and every one of them is the same bird and it's watching multiple places in multiple times, often overlapping its appearances and interacting with itself. At least that's what Kat seems to believe at the moment This, yeah. A single object projecting itself (Being projected? Both?) in a way that different instances appear to be in different dimensions, and all that. And the bird isn't just watching Zimmy. It's watching itself watch Zimmy. And watching itself watch itself watching Zimmy. And...

I always thought they went to the place in Slovenia where the Orjaks live, but this is a good theory as well.

Hm, and Eglamore's not the only one... FZZAK FZZAKFZZZAK
(Since it's all based on Anja's computer, I think we should conclude that she's the one borrowing Brinnie's techniques, rather than Donny. Not that it makes a big difference.)

Well, part of that statement is now proven accurate. "Liar!" and "You cannot deny that" both remain false. Perhaps if he had permitted them to examine the remains of the bird, they would have recognized court technology... but even then they could have lied and denied it.

O hey, I'm a Gunner now. Does that mean I get my own mecha Gunman to pierce the heavens?
PS: I guess this fits in here since I only noticed when I saw I already hit 501 posts and also I've been waiting almost 3 years to make that joke but missed the 500th mark

Does this count as a re-read if it was just two pages ago?
It just struck me how effing talented Mr. Donlan is, if at what I guess was his early twenties at best, he literally made armour of the gods.
Before you go all, "yeah, yeah, digital ether handwave mumbo jumbo we know all about it", think about what he did in the context of Norse mythology, and how other magical engineer gods/demigods/heroes were regarded. It becomes a little less startling that his daughter is Queen Angel of Robotkind. And a titch more plausible that Gunnerkrigg Man is transitioning to godhood.

You're right - and even if he had a magical 3D printer back then he still needed to learn how such an item is manufactured, design it, acquire the materials and create the virtual model. He can't (yet) say "Computer, replicate one buckler fit for a valkyrie!"

(perhaps something like a mild-mannered Völund with a pair of expression-enhancing spectacles)

Not something I noticed, but something I wondered. Tom plans so much in advance that he probably knew how he comic will end before the Norns even heard of it, and Ysengrin was inspired for his first scene by looking at Tom throwing the seeds of the plot years in advance. So, it was a fairly convenient plot point that Annie had shorter hair when she went to meet Loup so that she could notice that they had grown back after the discussion, and it was a helpful way to distinguish her from her Court alter ego. I'm wondering if it was because of one of those reasons that Tom decided to have Annie cut her hair. And globally it's kind of fun to think of events in the future of the comic potentially having that kind of influence on past and present events, seeing the subject of the current chapter

On the current page (2343)...
Second-last panel: Verdandi gestures to Kat, apparently offering her a seat on the side of the well.
Last panel: Kat has taken a seat on the side of the well (with Verdandi and the other Norns gathered around her).
Nice little detail to suggest movement in an otherwise static image. Also, of course, we also see the varying perceptions of the Norns (first Annie's, then Anja's POV).

I never read or watched Oh My Goddess, but a comment today made me learn more and realize that Banpei may have been part of the inspiration for the Robot King. Both use a marker to draw expressions on their face.

This might have been unintentional on Mr. Siddell's part: In this page Annie tells Reynardine to be quiet. The next time we see him, he is forbidden from speaking.

Based on re-reading this bit and then given this page, i am led to believe this wont be the last we see of coyote proper. its my impresion thats definitely a spirit totem (maybe made by loup?), and maybe coyotes spirit will be trasnfered. this whole ploy was basically coyotes trip to the rotd or with the mediums.

i completely forgot about this line in panel 5 www.gunnerkrigg.com/?p=816i guess Jones is such a pure lack of ether she believes Coyote can't do anything to her but Loup removed her with ease also Jones closes her eye when Coyote directly ask her a question

In page 2344, Urd stops having Kat's hair style and colour the moment Kat looks away and Skuld thrusts a pot in front of Urd's face. In the previous page all three were shown with the same look in a panel even when the person reflected wasn't looking at them directly. (Also I'm not sure what's up with the white square on her dress.)

I just realized Jones will be Ms. Eglamore in the future. And she was not talking about marriage related name change Just Eglamore surely, not Ms Eglamore. Jones is just Jones now, not Ms Jones. In other times she had both a first and a last name. However, living in the Court she probably does not have to care about having a "proper" name, and will avoid being called "James" in some decades.
