[150] Mort is apparently resting on a crate of Metal Gear Solid 3 games.

I noticed that before. What I did NOT notice, however, is that in the same panel, the ever-mysterious "113" appears, again...

Also the little plaque is in Latin. "Canalis 113". Apparently it means 'pipe'. That's some pretty old guttering.

I can't find a Yin Yang, but there's a similar looking Sun and Moon here and here.

Perhaps you're thinking of the main page icon for that chapter.

I think I remember him saying that he was watching Blade Runner on a Twitter post a while ago. Judging by the follow up comments, we can assume that he likes it.

Who wouldn't like Blade Runner? Indy Harrison's so dreamy . Also, Swedish people are great.

This may not be the point of this thread... but I just realized that young Anja and Donald look exactly like my own parents, back when they were their age! Heck, I'm even a bit like Kat, only I'm a boy and wear glasses.

Well, they should, as they're describing the same time-period (possibly the same event).

[511] When Anja blinks back her blinker stone in panel 3, there is a distortion of light around it. Similar to the distortion around Jack in 614...

To be entirely honest, I am amazed that you were able to do so. I think my perception of humanity was pretty much the lowest it could possibly be, but apparently it can go a little deeper. oh my god. Am I the only one literally offended by his arrogance?

When Anja pointed out that the bound dog was more like a puppet than a real creature, somehow I missed that glowing purple line behind her.

Say, that purple line might be something that astrally connects the dog with the forest in the distance, which is how Anja figured out what it wants.

I noticed that line the first time I saw it... I like to think that Anja's ability is to sense the connection between things. Sort of like she knew Rey was telling the truth about being bound to Annie in Ch 7.
I did not notice the crystal ball that rageboy pointed out! I was clearly way too busy looking at Donny and Anja making out and wishing I was Donny. It might make a little sense to have a crystal ball though, considering Anja's Romani. Maybe she sidelines as a gypsy fortune teller? Not that that would be a stereotype, or anything obvious like that.

Ok, this skates perilously close to nitpicking, but here goes: When Janet beats up Mort, she's holding the flute to her left side. Though not a flute-player myself, I'm pretty sure this is the wrong side, and the only reason you'd play like this is if you were left-handed. In panel 6, the punch is also given with the left hand. However, in the archery contest, she's drawing the bow and arrow with her right hand.

jon, that's easily explained by the fact that Janet is just too awesome not to be equally magnificent with both hands. :-)

[588]: In the penultimate panel, Reynardine is laughing his head off. ;D Cracks me up every time I look at it.

Huh. There's another one here. Maybe it is just a snowglobe or plasma lamp or something like Mir and aris mentioned.

Though not a flute-player myself, I'm pretty sure this is the wrong side, and the only reason you'd play like this is if you were left-handed. If you play a flute like that, I believe you'd be right handed, although in my experience brass and woodwind instruments don't really regard dominant hands. I'm not 100% sure, but I've seen more flutists holding it that way than the other, so I assume it's right-handed. In panel 6, the punch is also given with the left hand. However, in the archery contest, she's drawing the bow and arrow with her right hand. That punch looks more like a jab than a hook, based on how her wrist is straight. Jabs are commonly dealt with the offhand, but you really can't tell for sure. On the note of Things I didn't notice, Dead Robot in the seventh panel with the wooden dog.

I'm not 100% sure, but I've seen more flutists holding it that way than the other, so I assume it's right-handed. A quick google image search for "how to play the flute" shows almost everyone holding it to their right. Also, various youtube videos show this, some with explanations. But if you search for "flute left-handed", you find people holding it the other way around. A professional boxer will use both hands to keep his opponent off balance. An angry child will lash out with her strong hand. But I think we're starting to derail the thread again.
