I just noticed that on this page, in the third panel, you can see the eyes of three of the shadow-men hiding in the bush on top of the "bound-dog" (and sure enough, three of them pop out a bit later). I had thought they hid under the dogs, but apparently not.

Two things: After Annie uses her blinker stone to light the way down the stairs, when Reynardine is alone with Kat, he asks her if a boy has caught her eye (among other questions.) This is before the revelation that a blinker stone is usually a gift between couples. Also, the Court Protector's armor has a wicked scuff on the helmet, in the same place where the mark under Eglamore's left eye later appeared, first seen in The Medium Beginning.

Are you guys still just listing things that you only noticed on re-read, or are we now just listing things that we thought were cool?

I don't remember anything about it in the comic, but maybe Tom said something?

The last time we see Eglamore's face without the mark/scar/whatever it is, is here. We don't see his face again until here, where he has the mark. The only thing we see him doing in the interim is this. Make of that what you will.

So this is more of a "cool thing I only noticed 3 seconds ago while reading this thread", but after following somnium's link to page 74 and reading Tom's comment there, I put together a little connection I'd missed. If you'll recall from the (presumably canonical?) comments by Tom as various characters during City Face, there was one unpleasant-seeming individual going by "MoneySpider" that made repeated creepy mentions of "Zimmy Zimmy Zeta." If Zimmy is truly that reluctant to use her true name (I don't recall it being used in the actual comic, but I could easily be forgetting) this MoneySpider might be one of the few beings that even knows it, a somewhat disturbing prospect giving its unnerving attentions towards her... Also, for the people curious about the dot-within-a-circle symbol, first off you get a high-five for noticing it because I thought I was pretty sharp and I did not notice its repetition until now. I ended up doing a fair amount of what I belatedly noticed to be redundant research that had already been done by other people, but have come up with some (hopefully not Wild) speculation that I, at least, find pretty compelling. In order to avoid double-posting I decided it would be more appropriate for the Alchemy/Symbolism thread and so I posted it over there. Kindly check it out and share your insights!

Ah, thanks. I knew those were archived somewhere but couldn't quite find out where! Also, to give this post relevance as something I recently noticed, elsewhere in the same comments GoodNewsCarrier refers to Magpie55's actions as "crowing", not "trolling" like we might usually put it. A convention I am all in favor of adopting for the forums here

Yeach. Moneyspider is indeed creepy as hell. "Zimmy zimmy zeta". Nightmare fuel.
Of all those comments I had previously only read the discussion about Lightfoot I think.

That's funny, every time I remember those MoneySpider lines, I for some reason think of the lyrics of The Cure's song "Lullaby"...

It certainly is! Maybe Tom has a lamp like that in his living room I also liked the little painting hanging on the wall near the lamp with a smiley face in it (in 27).

Cool thing I only noticed on reread: Annie seems to have lost her little blue hair-band-thingie (like in panel 5 of 105) when she went BLOOSH in the Annan Waters, it didn't just go away. Also, and only marginally on topic, due to operator error while copy/pasting a URL, I arrived at this uncharacteristically soothing 404. I thought it was pretty 'cool'

rhoffman, the music on that 404 page is from the video game Ico.
Also nice find with the hairclip, I too wondered why she had stopped wearing it but I didn't notice it disappeared there.
(Edited to correct my appalling English and make my post easier to understand for people who do not live within 15 miles of my house.)

Gears and GearsAlso in 585 the circle on old school robot's shoulder looks like a Zimmy circle, though that is more likely the result of lack of detail than an actual connection. How ever such a connection could be interesting as we know that Zimmy is sensitive to electricity and she seems to emanate static. modified to try and correct my complete lack of understanding of how bbc code works and again to fix a glaring typo

Zimmy doesn't emanate static, that's representing what she hears in her head all the time. Check out panel 2 of this page here for further reading.

I'm guessing that static blip is from Zimmy's point of view. It's what she sees and hears in the split second between normal world and nightmare world.

Oh dude... something that I did not notice until you just pointed it out is this interesting tidbit:
It wasn't until I looked again at the page you linked, that I realized that the -shape- of the etheric swirlies coming from Muut are different, angle-y, from the ones that Ketrak gives off.
That's Ketrak, mind you--the psychopomp for insects.
So imagine how interesting it was for me to realize that Ketrak's swirlies WERE THE SAME AS ZIMMY'S.

Whoa, didn't notice that either until you point it out. In the same scene, Annie didn't have that swirly-aura-thingy. Hmmm... Zimmy's a psychopomp? And the preponderance of spiders around Zimmy. And the MoneySpider incident. And the spider inside Jack's head. . . . Okay, let's nip this potential derailment-of-thread in the bud. Discussion for Zimmy is stuff for another thread. I'm not starting it, so if someone wants to start one, feel free

I thought it was pretty 'cool' For some reason, the visuals and music on this page make me depressed every time I visit or think of it... Back on topic. [509]: one of the robots greets Annie by taking his cap off as he passes by.

Huh. I'd noticed that he took it off to ask "Miz Donlan" about seeing the portrait, but I don't think I ever consciously noticed that he also tipped his hat to Annie as they went by. That's a good find.
