It's canon that Reynardine produced or acquired the drawing and put it up on his wall (or had someone else do so). The content of the drawing is not necessarily canon. Does that work? Alternatively, the omniquantist view: all the canons, including headcanons, are true. They may intersect, and when they do so they may spin off additional canons which will also be true. However, they do not collide destructively.

When Kat saves Annie from the Annan Waters, she says "I'll save you, little girl!" just like Annie does when Kat falls from the cherry tree.

All the mice that appear in the comic are females How do you know? Good question, the attitude and demeanor on this mouse certainly makes it seem like a male.

All the mice that appear in the comic are females How do you know? Male mice are very . . . prominent . . . in their maleness. Physically so.

this is a female: this is a male: Kinda ninja'd by Jim North, by the way Those are huge mice (compared to the hand that is holding them)! that's because they are rats (i couldn't find a good photo with mice ), but the same rule applies to all the small rodents (mice, rats, hamsters...)

I used to have a male mouse as a pet, and I can vouch for the fact that even though they're smaller overall than rats, proportionately everything in that photo is exactly the same.

Just saying, Annie's smile in the top left of this page is probably her nicest smile so far, and one of the most natural as well, I think.

Looking at Annie hanging out with Coyote in the etheric at the start of Chapter 50, I realised what was different about her: no makeup! Sure enough, looking back at the encounter with the 'Seed Wispmuth', Annie initially has makeup on, and her clothes are coloured. As the wisp draws her into the etheric, however, her makeup fades away, and her clothes become monochromatic.

I never noticed that before. I personally like Annie without her makeup.

www.gunnerkrigg.com/?p=1330Jones doesn't see or hear Mort this entire time (from the moment he is dead), and she can only see Ankou because he made himself visible after he noticed her

On Page 1161, Kat tells Annie that the Seraphs told her two things: 1. They agreed to stop chasing after Robot. 2. They said they wouldn't bother her when she's working. But now that we have the revelations on Page 1451, those two things can also be interpreted to mean: 1. They agreed to start following Robot. 2. They would bother her when she's not working. Creepy Seraphs are going to creep.

I think someone had pointed this out before (I can't remember) but the majority of the chapter "Tall Tales" is just another series of case studies for this particular project.

Reading back on the chapter, the Stone, I have to wonder. if we take what Coyote said about the human mind can give shape to powerful beings via the ether to be true, what could possibly give rise to Jones? What thought / belief brought about her existence? Spoiler tag in consideration for possible new readers. I don't know where to put this.

Not so much cool, but I just noticed the typo on this page ("especially not now you are an honorary citizen of the forest"). I wonder if Tom Siddell will fix this before the printing of the next book. I also have remembered my favorite page: this one and the two after it. Hell, the three after it.

Where's the typo?

"especially not now that you are an honorary citizen of the forest" "especially not now , since you are an honorary citizen of the forest" "especially not now ; you are an honorary citizen of the forest" It needs something in-between to join those clauses.

"especially not now that you are an honorary citizen of the forest" It needs something in-between to join those clauses. It has something: An elided "that"; just like "I wish [that] I were". Search for "elided relative pronoun" for more on this cool thing.

I'm british and I don't think that is a typo, it sounds perfectly sensible to ,e, as sidhekin says there is a silent 'that' there.

What thought / belief brought about her existence? Spoiler tag in consideration for possible new readers. I don't know where to put this. Personal guess would be that Jones is born from legends associated with immortals. Her specific properties may result from underlying assumptions about what a being such as her would have to be like.
