Am I right in thinking that the Court was founded in the 18th century? Because the soldier in this strip looks like a British redcoat from the time of the American Revolutionary War.

i don't read this thread or it's predecessors often enough to know if this question has been asked and answered/refused so forgive me if it has but:
are jeanne and jones related?

After Coyote created the Annan Waters, the Court presumably started converting their land to buildings. Have they left any of their territory undeveloped, i.e., retained the original forest land?

What would happen to a "Dogwood" if it were to try and cross the river, not using the bridge?

I have more questions than I feel comfortable asking, but I it's better to just ask them all at once. Also, there might be some that have been asked or you won't answer for whatever reason. So basically: long post, please bear with me. 1- Orientation was roughly 300 pages long, so is it safe to assume the second volume won't come out until there's 300 more pages? You know, without counting City Face, guest pages, Metal Gear Theater, and anything else that won't be in it. 2- Did Ysengrin lose the tip of his ear in a fight with Rey? 3- Does Annie still have the beacon Eglamore gave her before entering the Gillitie woods? 5- Did you have to do research for the mythological and occult (for lack of a better word) references used throughout the comic? 6- How are the Annan Waters impassable? Like, if you get to the middle do you end up going back in the direction you came from? 7- What does the headmaster think about Janet and Winsbury's relationship? Or rather, does he know about it? 8- I miss the gardener (Bob? I forgot). Will he be back soon? 9- Did you come up with Coyote's character design by yourself or is it based on his legends? 10- Is Smitty the only person who didn't understand his relationship with George? 11- What does the symbol that's over Kat in the second treatise mean? I don't mean its symbolism in the comic, just historically. Like, what elementor or process it represents if it's an alchemical symbol. 12- The Parley family obviously had a great sense of humour, so why does George only say lame things when trying to be funny? 13- Do any of the characters have middle names? 14- Is banning someone from the forum something you would usually do, or were you just in a bad mood when you read that post with the mudkip meme? 15- Do you have anything to do with the Gunnerkrigg Court wiki? gunnerkrigg.wikia.com/wiki/Gunnerkrigg_Court_WikiWell, I think that's it... for now. Sorry if A) They have been asked before B) Some may deal with major plot points and C) Some of the questions seem random, mostly because they are. P.S. I recently got Orientation. I'll be posting my full opinion in the appropiate thread.

So, we know that Anthony is a surgeon, but what kind of surgeon is he exactly? General trauma surgeon, or something more specified, like a heart or brain surgeon?

Apologies if it's been asked.
Have all Eglamore's predecessors (The Dragon Slayers) been male?
Thanks.

Why are records of the Court's formation so poor? I should think the Seed Bismuth, as well as, oh, the entire reason the humans came to the Wood (!), would be well-documented.
How long ago was this meeting?

I'm pretty sure this has been noted before, but I was too lazy to go through thirteen pages of this topic (cough cough) sorry. The suspicion's just been really nagging at me that's all. And I think I was thinking too hard about it anyways
Was Jeane's death anyway caused by a previous "dragon slayer"? During chapter 18, at the duel between the robots, the one that "will not be forgiven" looks a lot like the suit dragon slayers (especially the one Jimmy's games teacher wore) have to wear. Maybe I'm just too suspicious.

Although not directly related to the comic, do you happen to have (or plan to release) any recordings of the UStream drawings you recently did? I've been reading on other forums about the streams and everyone seems extremely impressed with your drawing ability. I wish I could have seen one of them in person myself, but my work schedule always seems to get in the way.
Apologies in advance if this has already been covered.

Hello, , my questions are these, and I'm terribly sorry if they've been asked before. I haven't read all the other questions, I am far too ADD: 1. Who is Tea? A female GC version of yourself? 2. How long have you been drawing Annie, Kat, and the other GC characters, did you get the idea for the story first, or an image of the characters? 3. What is your favorite chapter of GC?

Referring to the questions about accents in the previous questions thread, you said "Jones = none". Do you mean she - uses Received Pronunciation?
- has the same accent as the person hearing her?

When you started GC, you chose to draw Annie in a very stylized fashion. Judging by your DA account, you certainly had the artistic ability to do the comic in a more realistic style from the start - but you deliberately chose to keep the style of that first drawing you did of her.
Was there a particular reason why you eventually switched back to your less stylized style?

You mentioned in your most recent twitter (most recent at the time I posted this message) that you would display "the cover of the next book" on ustream. So does that mean that the second book in the series is going to be published after all?

So I was reading back through the archives a bit this evening and looked at the pictures of John and Margo linked on the bonus page for chapter 19 and saw they were located at www.gunnerkrigg.com/junk/margo.jpg , etc. Out of pure curiosity I decided to see what would happen if I tried accessing just www.gunnerkrigg.com/junk/ and found a curious little page that claimed to be Not Found. Despite its lack of found-ness, it appears deliberately constructed as it features the title Gunnerkrigg Court prominently in the centre of the page, over what appears to be a silhouette of the skyline of the Court, with animated clouds. I thought it was pretty nifty even before I noticed the lovely little tune playing in the background. So yeah, for the actual question part of all this... is that the save theme from Ico playing on that page? I think I recognise it from this remix, despite not having played the game (I know, shame on me, but I have played Shadow of the Colossus)

Is Martin's appearance in Chapter 16 the only time he shows up in the story?

Have you already plotted out large sections of the story, perhaps the entirety of it all, or are you simply making up small sections (2-3 chapters), tying them into the pre-existing ones? A mixture of the two, perhaps?

Does Kat really have a big nose? And how does Zimmy see if her eyes are always shut? >_>
Also, what's the nature of the cut-that-sometimes-appears-on-Annie's-face-but-most-of-the-time-doesn't? Is it an ethereal thing, because the only times it shows up are when something magical is goin' down, like when she's using the Blinker Stone or when she's in ZimCity?
And since Annie was the one who had to escort her mother to...whatever, does that make her a psychopomp? Or something? Or are psychopomps just jerks.
