My goodness, has all this hot weather just got everyone acting like jerks recently? Tom, do you read any other webcomics and if so what are your favourites? Sorry if you have answered this before, I wasn't sure and I am always looking for new webcomics to read! Aside from the usuals that everyone else reads (like Penny Arcade and PVP), I like Starslip Crisis, Scary Go Round, The Intrepid Girlbot, Heliothaumic, Girls With Slingshots, Evil Inc, Gastrophobia, Girly, Octopus Pie, and some others I probably forgot.

Tom, I don't know why I never thought to ask this before, but it came up in conversation with some other fans... Is there any place where one might be able to see some samples of your real-world modelling work that you do for a living? I'll bet it's ultra fine and triple sweet! I was just passingly curious... Edit: Or is it animation? I feel like a bad fan that I can't remember now... Nope.

I've been going through the previous question topics and I was wondering, has the way you draw the comic changed since you gave the answer to a similar question about 2/3 the way down this topic page?Yep.

Did Surma and the others participate in anything vaguely like Dr. Disaster's classes? Yep.

I was just curious if any new Gunnerkrigg Court books are going to be released ? I just purchased a copy of the one that's out and it's superb quality ! It really physically surpassed what I expected it to be. The publisher did an excellent job ! I hope so.

Gunnerkrigg Court has been quite enjoyable so far ^_^ and congratulations on your award from ForeWord! ~ If Smitty had not known about card suites, might the cards have fallen in a different order? Or, Are the results of Smitty's ordering based on his knowledge of the situation? Nope.

Does Dr. Disaster's class have a name? And if so, what is it called? (Spacemonauting 101?) "Dr. Disaster's Class"

In Chapter Four, while Mort's telling Annie what he can do as a ghost, he conjures up a bouquet of flowers. Was that a hint or foreshadowing of his crush on her?

Not really. It was just a terribly unscary thing for a ghost to produce.

Could Reynardine be said to be 'beholden' to Antimony, in the same sense of the term used by Jones in this strip? To help me get my head around the timeline a bit: how many years before Annie's time in Year One at Gunnerkrigg Court was Surma's time in Year One there? Roughly what percentage of Gunnerkrigg Court's current faculty attended the Court as students?

Since the haptic suits don't cover participants' heads, if an 'object' in the simulate struck someone in the heads, would they not feel it?

Jones doesn't belong to anyone. 2, Annie's age + time between Surma left the Court and gave birth to Annie 3, High%

Tom: are you going to end up making it to Comic-Con this year?
If so, will you be signing at the ASP booth?
Finally: I know it's early, but what's the ETA (if any) on the next Gunnerkrigg book?

Nope, looks like I won't be going. Nothing of note to report on the next book.

Too bad. Any chance of any Gunnerkrigg merch (T-shirts, mugs, buttons, etc) in the forseeable future?

If you could choose between Doctor Disaster or Mr. Thorn to be your full time, all subjects teacher, who would you choose?

Will we meet other students or staff with 'Psychic' abilities, via a blinker stone or otherwise?

Due to the personal nature of this question, I understand if it gets skipped over (or perhaps it has already been answered? I'm new).
Dear Tom, your comic (which is smashing, by the bye) appears to have as inspiration a wide range of mythos from various cultures, and technological views. Could you perhaps tell us a bit more about your background and education? Did you study mythology within an academic context, or was it just a (rather amazing) personal hobby?
Side note: Thanks for the entertaining read over the last few days (I came across the comic on Sunday). I've purchased a copy of your first book, and am eagerly looking forward to the publication of the second.
Best, Edward

Hey Tom, do you ever just sit back and laugh at the wild and weird speculations that we come up?

I was reading through the older chapters again, and just out of curiousity, will it ever be revealed in the comic just why or what illness/condition Surma was in the Hospital for? If not, may I ask here?

On page 450, none of the students seemed surprised by the existence of the lake. Is it public knowledge among the students, and are they allowed access to it?

Best, Edward I just went to a normal school and did a boring Computer Science degree at university. Mythology was just a spare time interest.

Or are the other students more flappable than Annie?

How long has passed since Chapter 21? We've had Surma's generation's story and City Face inbetween the last time we saw Annie, so I am a bit curious to see if something could have happened between Annie and Reynardine to make them closer. Or perhaps it's simply that they've gotten closer over time?
