Hey guys! Got some good things to say...
First of all, a lot more people started voting. That is great and I really encourage others to do the same. Obviously the more votes we get, the more the results will reflect the opinion of the community as a whole. If you haven't voted, PLEASE do so!
Secondly... recently several voters also left comments about why they chose one person over the other, and gave their opinions and critiques of both performances. I think this is a good thing and I want to welcome others to do the same. Your opinions won't be shared with anyone (not with your name attached) and keep in mind, starting next week I'm going to be directing the talent in their performances, so any insights you can give me on what you'd like to hear or what you think of the way the actors did their audition, that could translate directly into constructive feedback I give the talent when we're recording the parts. So feel free to make (relatively short) comments with your ballot!

Boy, I sure do see a lot of names in the "Active in the last 24 hours" list that I would have thought would have voted by now... (hint, hint)

It's a good thing you did get here too, Rass, because in case you didn't notice... you're Anja now!

Oh yes, I did notice. It makes me feel a little sheepish because I was not satisfied with my audition. Also, how come nobody else auditioned for her? She's an amazing character, even more so now that we know she's got magics! All the time I was actually thinking "oh, any time now someone will sweep in with an awesome audition and get the role.. any time now.. oh." Anyway, I'm going to have to practice a lot to improve my voiceacting for Anja's role. But I love her character and it's going to be a pleasure.

Well although I do think you're going to be just great for the role, maybe some folks out there will realize "Wow, I let that role get away from me, I'd better get on the stick if I want to be a part of this!"
I would prefer that no role go uncontested, if for no other reason than to reassure the person who gets it (as you should be reassured) that they really deserved it.

All the time I was actually thinking "oh, any time now someone will sweep in with an awesome audition and get the role.. any time now.. oh." I think most people associated her with later chapters and forgot she had that brief appearance early on. Nevermind eh, your gain, their loss, plus I really like your audition so I probably would have voted for you anyway.

It is 2:45 pm GMT, which means that in nine hours and fifteen minutes from this post, we will stop accepting votes! (If you can't calculate that from your local time, look at an analogue clock and count.)

Congratulations to our first round of voted in actors! And commiserations to those who lost out, I am one of you, I feel your pain. There are many other characters though, just keep auditioning and you'll be bound to get something.
Let Round 2 of voting commence!

Everyone voting for the Spanish clown, please take my audition into consideration. I had an awful day yesterday and couldn't record until just 10 minutes ago. www.youtube.com/watch?v=zlyUwUlr5E0If you can't put it on the ballot, at least listen to it. I had fun recording it.

We've noticed that a few people have had trouble deciding their pick for certain roles in the previous and the current ballot. If you have decided for some but not for others, please do not send your choices to us until you have done one of the following: (1) decided your choice for the role, or (2) decided that both (or all) are too good and that you will leave that portion of your vote blank instead. Thanks!

Also!
EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY I have updated the first post of this thread with more specific, complete, and up-to-date instructions for how to vote. The purpose of the change is to give us records to look at should one of our contestants be unable to perform the role for which they are chosen.
Those few who have already voted in this round will be contacted to submit an updated ballot, and the new process will apply for all future ballots. Round 1, having been already decided, will be unaffected by this change.

I would like to suggest that you post an easy-to-use form or somesuch for voting, instead of having to start a PM. I think the lack of votes can be traced to the cumbersome feel of having to actively type out what you want to vote. Of course, it's handy to have them to comment on their votes, but I'm sure a form can have a space at the end for that purpose.

You can cut and paste the actual text from the Ballot Sheet in the first post to use as a framework. That's what a lot of people do. On your suggestion, I will add a note to the first post recommending to do just that. Thanks for the feedback!

I demand a recount! (not really) I really hope there's no hard feelings. I think you've got a pretty good chance at Mort (which is a way bigger role than Basil anyway). I haven't finished my deliberation yet, but yours is definitely in my top three.

SUBMIT MORE VOTES!
If you are reading this, and you have not voted yet, I have to ask what is wrong with you?? (dramatic)
Come on you guys... If we don't get enough votes, then I'm going to let my two dogs decide based on whose auditions they howl at the least. Or most. I haven't decided yet.
Don't let these actors' fates go to the dogs! Vote today!
