Ulysses, your take on Dr. Disaster reminds me of Proffesor Farnsworth from Futurama.

Actually it reminded me more of something out of the Venture Brothers. The Monarch, to be exact. He was pretty much using the exact same voice. Well done though, I loved it. For anyone who doesn't watch that show: www.youtube.com/watch?v=qeCW_u6j8Ps&feature=related

Haha, I've never seen the Venture Brothers but I see what you mean. Perhaps that's just what all mad scientists sound like.

Zimmy audition: www.youtube.com/watch?v=7xk35KmUCAMAH! I re-recorded this so many times to get the right voice; and it still isn't quite right! But, I'm uploading this to enter as the deadline is approaching, and hopefully get some serious feedback (please guys?) so that I might be able to record again before saturday. Zimmy is my most coveted part.

Basically every female voice who's auditioned for another role has been perfect for Kat. Why didn't any of you guys audition/win? No offense to Aricos , I just think every other voice sounds more like I imagined Kat.

Kinda like how you said 'So you're the Donlan kid? I'll be seeing you at the science fair' part. That part sounds so awesome! That's when I really thought 'Jumping Batman on a stick! Zimmy! !' Also, could you possibly screech the 'Controllin it!?' part? Zimmy is pretty 'GRAH!!!!' there and beyond, but it doesn't quite show up in your voice. It's there, but not quite :/ I want more of it!

I went through so many voices, "So you're the donlan kid?" was the only working line of one of the earlier voices. I'll try to work that threatening edge in more. I tried adding in a bit of a hiss at some parts, but I think she ended up sounding like a snake, and I nixed that idea. Edit: And my screeching sounds so funny but I'll add it in the next one.

I did two auditions today, watch out folks! The Moddy Dhoo: www.youtube.com/watch?v=FXNhCXVxIv8For that one I went against the Word of Tom and tried an accent. If no one likes it, I can play it straight. I just always imagined Moddy Dhoo with an accent like Hagrid. It's short because I'm congested and that killed my throat. And of course, the current popular character, Dr. Disaster: www.youtube.com/watch?v=OboX5pPpcIMInspiration came from this thread, as the video description indicates.

Auditions have been added to the master list. I'll bet Tom is getting (or would be getting, if he is following these) a real kick out of everyone going "Dun Dun Dunnnn!" in their auditions, hehe

Wiki says that the 'Moddey Dhoo' is the name of a ghostly dog on the Isle of Man, and people on the Isle of Man apparently have a fairly generic northern English accent. Granted, your accent there was a bit more like Somerset, but it still fitted the character.

But like I said, the accent was only for consideration. I know I got some of the vowels wrong, but whatever. Thanks for saying it sounded ok though!

Round Up Message!
Aricos: Non parlez-moi francais! I just know a few things. And Casey does not mopez either!
Peachikeen: Your second audition has been added to the master list!
Everyone (prompted by Xan): Something that I think folks should keep in mind when listening to auditions is that you're not (necessarily) voting on the actual lines-as-read for being in the project. I intend on working with each of the talent and helping them, where I can, in eliciting the best performance from them. So for example if someone mispronounces a word, or you think they have their emphasis or inflection wrong, don't worry too much about that. Vote based on whether you think the voice in general fits the character in your opinion, and whether or not you think (based on what they've offered) the auditioner has the range, depth, and energy to take on all of that character's lines.
Frankly (and others have said the same thing) I'm genuinely impressed and pleased with the overall quality of performances and level of professionalism and commitment that everyone has had so far. I would have a hard time choosing.
Anyhow, please carry on, vote if you haven't, and again, if you're thinking about auditioning, please do. The worst that could happen is that you don't get the part, but once your voice is out there, people might start thinking about what else you might fit for.

THIS! A THOUSAND TIMES! Small niggly thought: in the part where she's all upset, she moves around a lot. I think this would make her sound out of breath (unless she, aside from not sleeping, also doesn't breathe ).

Very nice. I'd love to hear the "Let's chase spiders in the library" page, that's about the only time we hear Zimmy being happy rather than angry or sad.

Ah, well, since you've asked. x) Here's my Gamma: www.youtube.com/watch?v=cPHZIo-rsN0I didn't realize it sounded so much like Deliciouscake's, to be honest. XD Though DC's got a lovely voice, so I hope that's a good thing. And, for the fun of it and because she's cool, Tea: www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y7g9SxYSv3UJe parle francais un peu, mais je ne suis pas assuré "mopez" est un verbe...though if it's not, it should be.

Miri, you have such an energetic voice! I think you did an excellent job with the blue fairy. It fit so perfectly.
I think that's why I didn't like your Jones audition at first. Your voice just screams "teenage girl" (not in a bad way, and I don't know how old you actually are, so don't be offended or anything), so playing that type of character is totally right for you.
I think you'd have made a great Kat as well.

I think you'd have made a great Kat as well. Thanks so much! I turned sixteen yesterday, so I'll take that as a vaguely complimentary statement of fact. XD I'd like to work on my Jones a bit more, actually - I really want to have a better vocal range, and practice is the best way to achieve that. If you have some more specific criticisms and/or advice, would you please let me know in a PM or something? I'd like to hear them. Someone said that very early on, and I'm still sorry I didn't get the chance to audition for Kat (schoolwork seriously ate me alive) - but I think it's better this way. If I did happen to win it, I just don't know if I'd be able to put in the time - particularly six weeks of this summer, when I'll have access to a computer lab if I'm lucky. I think we're much better off with someone committed and able to fulfill the role.

If not for the entertainment value, then just do it to listen to the way the Monarch talks. YOUR MEDIOCRE VOICE ACTING OPPORTUNITY DEPENDS ON IT!!
