Sakura, your first link was fine. I always go to the link that people give me to make sure it works, and within the page you linked the first time, I found the correct link directly to the audio file. I put that link in the master list, so you are good. Don't worry!

Submissions for auditions for chapters 3 and 4 will be open for another 5 hours and 30 minutes from the timestamp on this message. If you're submitting an audition, don't be late!
I personally won't be available for a good portion of the rest of the day, so if you need the YouTube account password to upload a submission, please ask Sandjosieph, or any of the other people who have submitted auditions through YouTube.

I like it! I like it a lot. I think it's pronounced 'tay-a' though.

I thought it was pronounced "tee". Heavens, we're going to have to ask Tom again?
BTW since we're on the subject... I've found dictionary entries with three different pronunciations of Antimony, so at this point I'm ready to say that everyone should just pronounce it the way they pronounce it, and just let it be one of those things that Antimony the character has to deal with. I had a good friend in high school who was from Sri Lanka and his name was Sudiran. It was properly pronounced "soo-DEAR-ehn" but most Americans called him "soo-DARE-in" and he answered to either. I don't see why Antimony couldn't be the same way.

I've done a quick bit of google-fu on the subject. Apparently it's an abreviation of the names "Theadora" and "Dorothea". The correct pronounciation is as if each letter was a single syllable. That's basically "Tee-ah" or "Tay-ah" depending on you accent. Source: www.behindthename.com/name/tea

...that is, unless Tom meant it literally as "Tea". He names characters after toxic elements, remember.
Edit: My point being, we're not going to know for sure unless we ask him. There's an American actress named Tea Leoni, and it's pronounced Tay-uh... but there's also an accent over the e in her name.
Double Edit: And in fact, now that I think about it, unless there's some place within the comic that Tea refers to herself by name (and there isn't), it doesn't really matter how it's pronounced.

IIRC there's the character from the English dub of Yu-Gi-Oh called Tea, and it's pronounced "tay-ah", and no accent's used. Since Tea's a real name I'm guessing that it's that name rather than just Tom deciding to add hot beverages to his odd name sourcelist.

Hopefully I'm not late, its hard keeping track of the time everywhere when I'm behind everyone here on the West Coast. Here is my second Reynardine audition along with a spur of the moment Eglamore: www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pk95R3E40UY

OKay, okay, XanBcoo's advice finally pushed me off the fence. I've uploaded my audition for James Eglamore. You can find it here, and I'll be adding it to the master list of course. I really hope you like it... I do funny voices all the time for my own amusement (see Sleepy Mythology Teacher) and this is my first time doing a role "straight", as it were. So I'm a little apprehensive about it, hehe! So yeah, looks like my intuition was right. This is probably the best Eglamore audition yet. I think you were absolutely right to use your own accent instead of a forced one. Your voice fits in so naturally with Eglamore's personality. It didn't feel like you were reading from a script. Nice job, man. That said, I'm going to get on my knees and beg for a slight extension on tonight's deadline. I still haven't been able to buy a new microphone, and I was at an end-of-year party last night and only just woke up about an hour ago (4:30 pm), and my head is spinning. I wanted to audition for Reynardine and the Spanish Clown but they might be a few hours late.

Allright listen up my friends! I am home between engagements (busy social Saturday!) and I am going to post the results of Round 1 in the Voting thread! However, since I don't have enough time at the moment to process the new submissions, I am going to DELAY THE CLOSING of auditions until... NOON on Sunday, or 6am Sunday in Central Time, or, 12 HOURS past the original deadline! Don't miss out on your one-time shot to get in under the wire! This time I mean it!

I wanted to try my hand at a character voice, and try and pin down my Surma voice in one shot. She sounds a bit like Edel from Princess Tutu in my head, but deeper and more British...I'll have a wider audition for her up later this week, but for right now, here's a bit of Surma and a good dose of Mallt-y-nos! www.youtube.com/watch?v=X5jzyWGOCLM

Ugh. I've had several recording sessions for this audition, and I have yet to nail a proper voice for Sivo/Reynardine. I just can't quite get something I'm comfortable with.
Also, I think I am not too comfortable landing a role that would require frequent recordings, as my attention span is pretty terrible sometimes. So I think I'll stick with the brief roles for now, and work on Ysengrin, and Moddie Dhoo. And possibly Mort.
Yes, I think Mort will be a fun attempt.

Hi guys, I'm actually home now, but I'm still going to keep the extended deadline, which looks like there are... 6 hours and 45 minutes left, from the timestamp on this message.
There are so many roles in the comic, I am pretty confident that there will be plenty to do. I hope that everyone will be able to participate to the extent that they want to. (Honestly I hope that Deliciouscake and Aricos realize what a huge amount of work they just signed themselves up for!)

Wait, is that the actual pronounciation of Antimony? I always sounded it as "Anne-Tuh-Moe-Knee" Edit: All right, I put together a recording as Mort. It's not finished, but I'm on the verge of passing out, here. If I'm allowed, I'll upload more lines to give people a better idea on the voice, ASAP. www.box.net/shared/bmhbfj1o56

Hehe, goatmon, that is a question that has been back and forth and back and forth... To make a long story short, I have found three different online dictionaries that all give three different "correct" pronunciations. I grew up in the US, but I learned it as the pronunciation that is generally associated with the UK: "ann-TIM-uh-knee". This is how you hear a lot of people say it in the auditions (unless they've read the Questions to Tom threads... see next paragraph.) Tom pronounces it in the way that is generally associated with the US pronunciation... "ANN-tuh-moe-knee" (with all falling stresses) much like you pronounce it. It is interesting that I, as a US citizen, was taught to say it the UK way, and Tom, who is a citizen of the UK, was taught to pronounce it the US way. I also found an online dictionary that pronounced it "ANN-tim-uh-knee" which is the UK version's vocalization with the US version's stress. This is apparently the rarest of the pronunciations. I had posted somewhere earlier today that as far as I was concerned, since there are apparently two equally acceptable pronunciations (much like aluminum's "uh-LOO-mih-numb" on this side of the Atlantic, and "al-you-MIN-ee-um" on the other side) I think it is fair to say that Antimony the character would encounter people pronouncing her name both ways on a regular basis. I recounted a story about a high school friend of mine with a difficult name, who just answered to either pronunciation. The only real question then, is how Antimony pronounces Antimony, as she does in her first line of the comic. In Deliciouscake's audition for the part, she pronounced it the UK way (ann-TIM-uh-knee) and so... I don't really know yet how we'll handle that. I asked Tom at one point if he cared which way we pronounced it in the project, but he did not answer the question. He was probably (understandably) tired of answering questions on the pronunciation of Annie's name at that point.

P.S.: On your edit: I will use whatever link you tell me to use by the time I process the last auditions in five and a half hours, so, just feel free to edit your post to your heart's content until 6am Central time. Whatever it is by that point, though, that's what I'm going with... and that's the same for all the rest of you too. And since that deadline is in five and a half hours, I had better get myself to bed!!

I think it's "Tee" because her eyes are tea colored. I'm sad for all the sound files that are .wav, because they don't work on a mac, and I want to hear everyone!

Haha, I've always pronounced it that way, I didn't realize there were other ways of saying her name. But it's understandable. People pronounce my name differently as well, including my parents. XD Great job to all that auditioned!

As I noted earlier (at the top of the very page in fact) it's an abreviation of another name and the correct pronounciation (when it's use as a name, call meals and drinks "tee" as much as you want) is "TEE-ah" or "TAY-ah" depending on your accent.
