That was quite good. I didn't notice the background noise you mentioned, either.

Searching youtube also provides many helpful examples and how-to's regarding various British dialects: www.youtube.com/results?search_type=&search_query=british+accents&aq=fJust make sure that the person in the video is actually British. Some of those folks have no idea what they're talking about. I looked at the Wiki for Manx English. Pity there isn't a guide to its phonology up there.

Oh wow, I've missed alot in my absence. And good, more auditions for Ali. Now there's some competition so I won't feel as cheated if I win the part. That was quite good. I didn't notice the background noise you mentioned, either. Thanks! I guess I can only hear it 'cause I went over the audio like a gajillion times. I thought your audition was great. And to be honest, I had to redo alot of the audio myself when I was transfering it to the WMM format. And the only notable background noise was this small *bang* that was near the bigining of the clip, but that didn't deter from any of the effect. PS, You wouldn't believe the trouble I had putting the song that I had in there. WMM isn't at all user friendly and I had to talk over the music. That being said, your audition was most likely loads better than mine since I had to compensate for the song.

I didn't have that kind of trouble recording the audio, as I'm using Adobe Audition which filters out a lot of the noise, and the mic I use is apparently pretty darn good. My problem is that my family is a bit large and, well, noisy.

I had to wait untill late at night when they were all in bed before I could do anything. That and thanks to limited funds, I had to but some random $20 microphone from Best Buy and ended up using Windows Movie maker. (It's not a bad program, but it could use some work. It gets the job done though.) Just a personal question that is in no way meant to be a racist remark, but does your family happen to be Italian?

I'm guessing you believe italian families are usually larger than most?

Sorry for being so inactive recently (as in the past two months)! I had musical performances and AP Testing and I'm currently in the middle of finals week, but after this I'm gonna be done with high school (finally!).
The main reason I'm here is to retract my Coyote audition. I realized during my absence that, if I was barely able to keep up with the comic, I probably didn't have time to give my voice to one of the bigger characters in this project. And because I'm going to University next year, I'm hesitant to make such a dedication if I don't know that I will be able to keep it, especially when there are other people that are much more dedicated that want it. If I get to University and realize I can pull it off, I'll certainly come back and redo my audition. Thank you all for the critiques, and good luck! I still plan on submitting some smaller part auditions when I find the time, because I think this project IS really awesome and do want to be a part of it.

Awww.... Sorry, Uskuri! Well you know, the audition will still be on the YouTube page, I'll just de-link it here. So if you change your mind back, it would be easy enough to re-add it. Keep in touch, because it might be a little while before we need to cast Coyote, and by that time, you might feel differently!

Cantabile, I've added your audition to the master list. I wasn't sure if you intended that to be a third audition, or if you wanted me to remove the first audition and replace it with this one. So, I just went ahead and left all three up there.

My bad. I had wanted my latest audition to replace my old one; I plan to delete it as soon as YouTube finishes its maintenance.

that being the first one, or the second? There are three in total now.

My latest submission was meant to replace my first audition (pardon my rhyme). Which is why it's titled "Audition 1.1."

Edit: And done.

I liked your headmaster voice. It's exactly what I'd expect it to sound like.
BTW, it might just be me but I'm only getting sound in the left channel of my headphones on your auditions. I don't seem to be getting it on any other youtube videos.

I am posting a reminder to everyone that while we are in this production phase (which is coming along decently, I can tell you), this is a good time for everyone who has auditioned to go back and review your auditions and see if you want to post an additional audition, or even replace the one you initially posted.
I can tell you this without pointing out examples: History shows that auditions that are noise-free and of proper volume are much more likely to be strongly considered in voting. In simple terms: If you have an audition up that is of poor production quality, you have an opportunity now to fix that.
I have a pretty darn good ear so I can hear the potential in a lot of people's voices. But seriously, if you really want a part you've auditioned for, make it as easy as possible for everyone to like you, and get the best possible audition out there. Just upload and post the link here, and I will take care of the rest.

Right on. Just recording the audition was a lot of fun, I might do a second take and/or try for other parts.
