topwebcomics.com/Default.aspxI saw that TopWebComics lists Gunnerkrigg. It's currently ranked somewhere in the nineties. I assume the forum will agree with me that Gunnerkrigg Court should be in the top 10. A change we need. And yes we can. We can vote every day. It's free, and takes 2 seconds (5 on my computer).

Why is it so low ?

That would be because Tom doesn't have a Vote button like most webcomics do, nor does he provide incentive to vote. (still voting, anyway.)

That'd make it even cooler then, if we manage to vote it all the way up. GC deserves it.

It's up to the creator of a comic to set up and manage their entries on the Top Webcomics List. I didn't make the entry to my comic, someone else did.

That's a bit strange. Do you object to it? I suspect it wouldn't be possible to edit the entry then, add banners etc. That sucks.
Maybe it should be deleted so that you can put up a proper one that you can control. If you care at all about that kind of thing.
Or we can just keep voting on the illegitimate entry. It's just fun to exercise our fan frenzy with the everyday votes.

#87 instead of #92, in only a day! Not bad. Go Gunners, go!

It'd be exciting to get it into the first 10 eventually.

I wonder how quickly we can bump it up...
I'm going to have a hard time not voting for other comics, though, even though I know it would just hurt the cause. I'm a serial voter, I admit it.

I have exercised my democratic right. Go Gunnerkrigg!
(I can't help but notice that most of the comics in the teop 10 suck. Although I did find a webcomic about angels and demons going to high school that looks like it could be good. I know, I'm just as suprised as you are!)

I guess the main problem with TWC is that it's not the best comics that will make it to the top, but those with the most fans. Since the number of fans and quality of the comic are unrelated (to some extend) - such votings aren't really meaningful.

...I'm a fan of 4 of the top 10 as well as number 11. It's all objective, man.
All arguments aside, GC needs to be in the top 10 too. [supersaiyan]VOTING[/supersaiyan]

It appears that all voting values get reset at the beginning of the month. It's never been easier to get to the top 10 than now!! this still works: topwebcomics.com/vote/6297/default.aspx edit: hah, 16! that's more like it!

Let's look closely at the math involved: 1. You can vote once a day, so a fan voting daily can put in 31 votes over the month of December--30 if you take Christmas off. 2. If you have internet access at work/school as well as at home, you can put in another 20 votes or so--one for each working day. 3. So, a single disciplined fan weighs in at 50 votes, without dirty tricks. 5. The top comics in that list had several thousand votes for November. Let's say 5000 votes is about right. 6. The question is, do we have the 100 fans who are disciplined enough to pull this off, or must Tom resort to bribing passers-by with boni, as many others unscrupulously do?

We have nigh-on 900 readers. Plus. Say at least a quarter vote, that's at least 225 voters. So yes, we should have more than enough (I hope). If it's 30 votes apiece, that's more than 5000 already.
So let's hope everyone else votes, yes? =)

I'll try to vote everyday, but between my schoolwork and my at-home Japanese Class, I'll try to fit it in.

I did. Yet how can Gunnerkrigg be outvoted by comics advertised with such lines as:
These were their numbers in the standing when I voted.

Just keep voting and we'll get there. I'd be more comfortable with it if the entry itself was in Tom's control. We're probably missing a whole boatload of votes from people who only read the comic and never visit the forums.

Considering the other comics on there, I'd say Gunnerkrigg deserves to be at number 3 at least. I'm not sure whether it's better than Earthsong, since I don't read that, but Gunnerkrigg, despite its great greatness, is not as great as Phoenix Requiem, which fully deserves its huge number of votes and the number 1 spot.
I'll try to vote for GC as often as possible from now on, in order to get it to its rightful place on that list.

I love Earthsong, but it doesn't update as often and I have a rough time keeping track of it.
#25 as of now! Only four behind Order of the Stick - I think that's kind of an achievement, myself.

Eh, of the top ten there, I believe Girl Genius deserves the top, and then Gunnerkrigg Court second. I read the Phoenix Requiem but while the art is marvellous and it's all tip-top fancied up, it falls short of my personal standards for creativity and originality. It's still a marvellous comic, mind you, just not better than GC for me personally. Other than that, I like Flipside and that's about it for my top ten.

Back to 25...
If it does get into the top 10, where will the banner come from? Since Tom didn't make the entry, I'm assuming he didn't supply them with one...
