Now, imagining Zimmy when the inevitable break-up occurs...(shiver of worry) Just wondering, does Tom usually keep relative character heights constant in the comic? In that page, Zimmy is a lot closer to Jack's height that the mystery girl is. I suppose that that can be added (along with the mystery girl's eyebrow piercing) to the evidence suggesting that this is not Zimmy. |

It's obviously Zimmy. The change to normalcy being implicitly the result of receiving real affection / socialization from someone other than Gamma.
As to "where is Gamma?", either Zimmy doesn't need her anymore or she could be just offscreen.

Since I don't feel like reading through all the post, forgive me if I reiterated some points.
One reason that Jack looks the way he is would probably be a side effect for muggles going into Zimmy's head. Or perhaps the Whiteleg... infestation.
Also, in support of Zimmy should be having red irises and also Gamma to dissipate some no-face losers and the lady would therefore not be Zimmy.
I'm also calling that that may not be Jack, either. Postulations for all!
Anywho, those are my two cents. Once again, only Tom will tell.

Here's a hypothetical. Assume for a second that it IS Zimmy. She looks happier, healthier, and friendlier than we've ever seen. Would any of us here really begrudge her the chance to be normal, or at least closer to it? Would YOU really be happier if she continued to be strung out and dependent on one person for the rest of her life?

Jack??? He looks pretty mature for a 15 year old. I am not sure who that girl is that he is with, but definitely not Zimmy. At least that is my vote. Then again, Tom's comment of "These guys??" implies that we know both of them. Any other ideas? Well, to be fair my brother had a friend who had a huge fullgrown woodcutter manbeard at the age of 16. And the voice to go with it. He always went and bought alcohol for their parties since no one ever asked for his ID since he looked like he was 30 when being 16. That said; This is VERY rare and yeah Jack looks like he's 20-30. And if that is Zimmy I'mma stab someone. Or just pretend it totally is because she'll always be this red-eyed walking nightmare-transponder to me  EDIT: Guess it's Zimmy.  EDIT2: Wait it's just speculation, goshdarn edit from above confused me. So here's hoping it isn't Zimmy. |

If this is happy Zimmy then happy Zimmy is happy Zimmy! Still, even with such evolution of art, it's far too drastic Zimmy to lose her very distinct red irises. Jack is still recognisable, with his grey hair and little hair fang. Albeit surprisingly mature. Though again, that might be due to his previous unfortunate incident. Granted Zimmy probably isn't entirely normal, either. Her irises may, indeed, change with overall temperament. We don't know much about her, certainly. |

I actually hope it's Zimmy because if it is her, then we never saw her looking that non-tortured before (temporary relief from rain nonwithstanding). And I don't think Gamma would have anything against. Gamma and Zimmy share a bond that is lightyears beyond what romantic love is, in my humble opinion. Of course if it's just trolling on Tom's behalf, that's fine too  |

Given Zimmy's eyes, I'm wondering if that's actually Gamma with a dye job. Gamma's eyes, in the last chapter we saw her in, looked just like the girl in today's strip.
That or Zimmy has contacts and also it either rained or she's figured out how to keep her eyes from fogging up. Or her eyes just look normal now. I'm skeptical on that, but hey. People change.
Of course it could be someone else entirely, but at this point that seems unlikely.

Yeah, there's no way that's Zimmy as we know her, Zimmy's eyes have been shown red in wider shots than this. I do like the idea that this is an illusion of what Zimmy wants to be, though. Or maybe the the sea is magic and facilitates time travel or alternate realities somehow? Could explain why they don't know what sea it is.
Also: Why are we calling her MAL?
