Well, my fave ship is Renard/Annie. Why? I just like how their relationship has developed over the comic, from him wanting to kill her to being really good friends. Some ight say renard is a father figure for Annie but I think not. Do I think they might get together given the things we have seen? no Do I think it will ever happen? nope, but I'm kind of hoping for it Ofcourse there are a lot of issues with a couple like this. Makes sense, given your profile pic. |

All I require for relationships is that they logically make sense with the characters, and have hints for the relationship, before the fact. I think it is unwise for you to post in this thread hahahahah. Plus we already know your opinion  It took all my willpower not to reply to his post. To me Annie/Renard just doesn't work as a romantic relationship. Renard was in love with Surma, Annie's mother, as was Eglamore. We saw them both at the end of the Hetty chapter talking together, and I think they are jointly taking on fatherly responsibility for Annie, since her real father is not around, especially in more recent chapters when Renard seems to have matured a little. A romantic relationship between them does not make sense to me, and would seem to be too creepy for the same guy/wolf/mythical being to be interested in botht he mother and the daughter like that, too creepy for this comic anyway. Zimmy/Gamma I have always found an odd one. I never considered them as a romantic couple until it was mentioned on this forum, I considered it a dependence relationship, both of them depend hugely on each other, and are connected on some additional level that doesn't even factor into what we think about normally, but I don't detect any romantic relationship there. As was hinted in faraway morning with Jack, it is not a romantic thing, it is far deeper than that, but does not mean that they cannot have relationships with other people, although somehow I doubt Jack. |

Renard is nothing like Aslan, at all. Aslan is a wise leader and straight up badass, Renard is a playfull character who has a serious and wise side to himself. |

Annie seems to understand what has happened with surma, I don't think it could be a problem. Offcourse stuff still needs happen, for me it seems clear that Renard likes Annie but it's not the other way. Annie loves Renard but not that way. Very good friend like way. It could happen, but the question is if Tom want to. Also, looks like Annie still has some feelings for Jack. Or she still hates his guts but I don't think so. |

I feel validated for my longstanding "Annie crushing on Jack" theory but oooooh, boy who is that Jack is with right now? (Dream Zimmy? Mytery Zimmy look alike? An android he built to look like Zimmy? Inquiring minds!)
Annie x Reynard just seems creepy to me. I think Rey still carries a torch for Surma and maybe has faint hopes about Annie that have gradually been shifting to paternal love over time but I don't see any indication that Annie has even the smallest fraction of a romantic thought towards him.

To change the subject, I want to give my POV on Shadow/Robot. Since robots are made, not born, and both Shadow and Robot are quite young, I believe that their relationship is asexual homobromantic (not misspelled.)

Perhaps earlier in the series that could be the case, but in newer chapters, I'm just not seeing it. Watching over her homework, throwing himself in the way of danger, bombarding Kat with questions of how well she's getting along in her social life, asking if she's found a boyfriend. I see all these surfacing through him as not deeds to prove his love for her, from an infatuation of a long gone, dead lovers' noose, but rather out of the passion of genuine fatherly concern. But hey, that's just me. Ship whoever ya feel like. Personally, I'm all up for a Mort/Doctor Disaster. I kidd of course. I know I'm just making this thread creepier...

I don't doubt Jack's game, but even he admitted that "calling them [Zimms and Gamma] an item doesn't even begin to describe it". When your significant other has another person that has to stay close to them at all times or they become an uncontrollable reality-twisting wormhole, you might be in for a rocky relationship.
I subscribe to the theory in the latest-strip thread that the new girl is a techno-etherical amalgamation of Gamma and Zimmy, and now their 3-way relationship with Jack will be referred to as "Jammy".

There's just something some enthralling about the two of them together......plus when Coyote turned into a boy, green creature imp, he was kinda of hot....I think Annie's thirst of knowledge and the world around her would be a good match for Coyote's curiosity about humans, creatures and ect.... You answer your own question here. Coyote is a shapeshifter, and you can ship them with ANYTHING. Personally, I ship Coyote with Jeanne. |

actually, I could see coyote/jones Same. Can you imagine? I personally have had AnnieXKat as my long term OTP for this comic. But I also love PazKat to death. I use to sort of like the idea of Annie and Mort, but that's gone now. Oh, also, Robot and Shadow give me such strong feelings, and I can't even understand why. I mean, they're a robot and a shadow. But they're adorable. |
