Chapter 13, A Week for Kat. Oh yeah, bird dude! I remember him. Thanks for jogging my memory. I don't know why I thought it was the minotaur at first. o.O Ehh... Minotaur... Alistair... both three syllables... both nine letters... both end in r... both kind of blurring the line between human and beast....

Maybe Annie is worried that she'll push Kat away because there might come a time where Annie doesn't get along with Paz or whoever Kat dates. She mentioned Alistair because her interactions with him didn't go so well. She needs to get along with not just Kat but other people her age. Don't worry Annie, Kat needs your friendship because who else can help Kat with the robot cult and the Court's past.

Well, Annie being a homophobe isn't the only resolution for the plot thread raised by Rey's little speech, just the most obvious resolution. Maybe Tom just included that as a red herring. Maybe Rey's assessment tells us more about Rey than it does about Annie. Nah, I don't think he would misjudge the situation and/or Annie that much. I do agree with you on that red herring part, even though, a red herring shouldn't be included just for the sake of simple misdirection, at least in Tom's work.

Why? Shouldn't people be HAPPY if someone likes their post?? It kind of loses its positive meaning when you click like to every single post, because it becomes indifferent in that sense. Instead, the number of notifications that we get to our accounts for those now meaningless likings soon becomes rather annoying. Quick, everyone like this post! Stat! Nah, I don't think he would misjudge the situation and/or Annie that much. Methinks something went wrong with your quote boxes.

...who's Alistair again? I really should re-read. xD Chapter 13, A Week for Kat. You know, I don't think you even need to go reread the chapter with this explanation (except maybe we need to have Kat looking on in love/horror at the sight).

I'd be very thankful if someone made this into a movie poster. E:And make the film adaptation too. Really need to see the transformation sequence.

Hah, I forgot all about that little spat, actually. They made up so quickly that I didn't even call it a fight. So Annie's worried she'll do something socially awkward again.. I wouldn't call that Kat "hating" her exactly. Kat knows from many experiences that Annie's interpersonal skills aren't the best, so I don't think this is anything too difficult for them to handle. Props to Annie, btw, for handling her feelings in a fairly grown up manner. She's certainly better at articulating how she's feeling than I ever was. I don't think I was ever this good at self-pontificating. Methinks something went wrong with your quote boxes. Yeah, sorry about that. WYSIWYG these days isn't what it used to be.. Pfffft WYSIWYG. I just use the text editor and do it by hand. <MUCH COOL. WOW. OLDSCHOOL. SO TEXT> It's a lot harder than it needs to be sometimes though :/

Oh, thou whom I thought wereth my brother, thou hast betrayed me! Oh can we no longer trust one another, hath my friend become my enemy? Let thy hearth, if thou hast one, knoweth that I'm in throes for the vile crime thou now commit! Were thou not so fast to put thy glasses on thy nose thou would receive a virtual punch on it!

...I remember some guys reading that in elementary school. Should I check it out? Don't bother. It's meant for elementary school kids. I remember enjoying it as a kid. That was back when bookstores encouraged you to stay and read. Now they all want you to buy something and GTFO. I've had to find new places to people-watch. It's rather tragic.

Don't bother. It's meant for elementary school kids. So is The Hobbit and many other great books. Now I've never read Animorphs, so I have no idea if it's any good, but I know that just because something's meant for kids doesn't make it a worthwhile read.

where I live it's way more dangerous to be an animal than it is to be a human. Alien worm invasion or not.

Now I've never read Animorphs, so I have no idea if it's any good, but I know that just because something's meant for kids doesn't make it a worthwhile read. It's pretty good. Aliens are slowly taking over earth by subversion and a bunch of kids find this morphing technology that the other alien race that's fighting the evil aliens left behind on earth by accident. I remember it being pretty well done, especially the kid who gets stuck as a hawk and now can only turn back into a human for one hour every day, the opposite of how it is normally. Towards the ending books of the series it gets darker, their family members are mostly taken by the Yerks and there is open rebellion. I remember one book where they hijack a tank and are driving it down the freeway. Then again, haven't read it in over a decade so maybe this is rose-tinted glasses talking. To be fair, Tolkien regretted ever trying to make the Hobbit a kid's book, and it gets way more serious and less whimsical as it goes along.
