I don't think daedalus is giving Carrie/Stephen King a fair shake. I'm not a big King fan, but Carrie isn't a bad book. Just a very sad and fucked up dark as shit story. King is known for stories that aren't just creepy, but that also touch on very personal moments and subjects. The Dark Tower stuff is his best work however. |

I can't blame you, I prefer fantasy books myself. I don't mind darkness in my book worlds but King has a habit of taking things way too far. |

Would mediums have been necessary before the divide, though? From what I recall they mingled with each other, and any random person could just walk 10 meters and talk to the other guys normally.
