I just checked the Topatoco store, and apparently part two is available for purchase now.

I just checked the Topatoco store, and apparently part two is available for purchase now. ...Aand bought! I wish that Tom had another store in Europe, though. It feels silly paying almost as much in shipping as the book costs, while Tom has to pay to send them off to another continent, too. It would save us both money if he could find an alternate channel or two.

Yeah, I always wondered about that, but I guess paying overseas shipping to sell through Topatoco earns more money than other channels. At least, I hope it does.

So when Kamlen comes in to tie the thing around her hand, she didn't know what he was doing at first, and yet she still let him touch her like that; Annie def not asexual, as evidenced by the constant blushing. I don't know that that rules out asexuality.

Pt.2 definitely rules out asexuality

I don't know that that rules out asexuality. Well, I guess it would be accurate to say that asexuality is on a scale from 0 interest in sex to some average amount of interest in sex, but it's clear that Annie isn't at 0. I'm not sure what age they are now, but it's probably a normal time for these kinds of feelings to develop, and I would consider blushing and letting a guy touch you while you are in bed, an intimate act if there ever was one, to be interested to some degree.

I'm not sure what age they are now, but it's probably a normal time for these kinds of feelings to develop, and I would consider blushing and letting a guy touch you while you are in bed, an intimate act if there ever was one, to be interested to some degree. Yeah. I identify as asexual myself - and I do get blushy when it looks like somebody is about to try and be intimate with me. I'm cool with intimacy, I like it a lot. I just get worried that they are also going to be after sexual intimacy, which is really complicated for me. Because I can do sexual things with other people - in certain circumstances I could even sort of want to - it's just a very uncomfortable mix of bad and good, and I'm not always certain the good will outweigh the bad enough. (I suppose most would consider me to be somewhere in the gray area of the spectrum.) To me there's a line between sensual intimacy and sexual intimacy. One I am comfortable with, and the other I'm not. So I feel that Annie could be intrigued and excited by Kamlen touching her wrist or kissing her, but not necessarily up for him to touch her in, um, other places. Even if she was curious about sex, she might try it and afterward come to understand it wasn't something she liked. It's not that I think Annie is probably asexual. I just think she could be. (To me, any character could be asexual, until it's established that they specifically want to have sex with a person they are attracted to, for a reason other than "just to see what it's like".) Pt.2 definitely rules out asexuality And I guess I'll wait until I can read pt 2 before I say any more.

Anyone else got page eight* and it's corresponding page in like gray rather than black? O,o *The page where she is asked if she has anyone she loves back home.

No, the memory card for my camera is missing...(As is all the screws too. >__>) Not much to see, as I said it's gray rather then black... Darker then the gray of the other pages though. Pretty closely matched to the dark grays of Annie and Ysengrin in ether-vision actually. No other artifacts of any kind.

So by popular demand I took a couple of pictures, they are kinda large so anyways. I cropped the picture because the rest of the page were out of focus. Close up:

Those are some very well manicured fingernails. Props to you.
I can see what you're talking about. Must have been a bad print head or something, or maybe they were running low on ink and stopped the presses to refill just after they completed this one. I dunno what Archaia's setup is though.

The extremely rare grey page misprint will be extremely valuable to the most discerning collectors in the future!

I ordered two copies of AitF2, so I could give one to my niece for Christmas. The packing slip says "2", but there was only one of them in the package. Response from Topataco is an automated reply, with a link to a status check. The link doesn't work. I've sent another email to them, still no response. Any advice?

Topatoco gets really busy at this time of year, so I'm not surprised they have been less than prompt getting back to you. Keep trying to get through to them and hopefully they should sort you out.

While we are discussing issues with the printed media, has anyone else had serious problems with Book 4? In my copy, at least, there are several pages missing and several else without dialog, oddly*. Does this also occur in anyone else's copy? *Specifically, along with several others, this page has no dialog, and three of the City Face sketches are gone from the end of the book. (The binding also arrived cracked, but I suspect that was a problem with mine in particular.)

Heh, yeah, didn't notice that... well, we read it on the web, then we kinda know what's going on when we look at the pages, so the dialog probably echoed through your mind as you went along, and that's why it didn't jump out at you.

I've also experienced this, but the funny thing is that even without it, it's still pretty clear what is going on, to the point that it even seems mildly plausible without dialogue. Still, not a great endorsement of Archaia's printing quality, although I realize that contracts and business options limit the choices available to Tom.

In this case it seems more likely to me that it's Tom that has messed up... I mean, surely he just sends the complete picture to be printed? (I don't know how it work over in England but I work for one of Swedens biggest printing groups and as far as I know we never get anything else.)

Yeah, that was my mistake. As far as I'm aware, that should be the only page without dialogue. Luckily the scene still works. If there are other pages without dialogue, please point them out.
Some of the City Face extra pages at the end had to be cut due to page restraints.

I've sent message after message to Topataco, and all I get is an automated response and a link to a page where I can't log in due to some sort of database error. No human being has bothered to read my messages, as far as I can tell. I'm getting quite angry.
