Oh, there are New News. Joy. 1) I installed Voxel Sniper. For now, the only snipers are goofanader and me. It's an exceedingly dangerous tool and i want to give it a test run before anything else. A properly used /cast recur and /cast rewind are pretty much usable already by ops anyways. It's just that nobody bothers learning well. 2) With that video around, I'm happy for the antigrief backup system. Thank god for whitelists too. Are you sure it was a good idea to go public so early?

And I have a question is the map on page 5 trustworthy? as far as I can tell, no. if at the very least not very detailed if it is. ------------------------EPIC IDEA---------------The Epic IDEA - TARDIS-like constructionsRight here is where the idea came from- Agasa To liken this to another idea is quite simple, right then: In many classic games to make buildings appear larger but still save on space they would make a small not very detailed version from the outside of a building and once one entered the building it would become humongous (This is seen often in the houses in pokémon) We propose with the use of some kind of teleport-when-enter-door mod that one builds a small not to scale of a building with very little detailing, that when entered teleports you to a giant full-scale building. Why bother you ask? Well this will solve the problem of the limit on top build height - one could build it underground or something the large version and have the small version above ground in the correct place. It also allows the conceptual stages of huge-scale buildings to be done much easier for example, one could make the concept to a smaller scale and then create the real thing to full scale elsewhere. Me and Agasa believe this idea could really work on our server. Please Discuss it further.

The server has been restarted to the previous backup. Also, backups happen every 2 hours now.
PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE DO NOT USE A LOT OF TNT IN ONE GO. Our server cannot handle it. I'm thinking of banning TNT at this point, but if you guys can show a more proper use of it, I'll keep it going.
And you guys, please don't take down someone's building/work without asking them. Really.

Really. Please don't ban TNT altogether, it's useful for sculpting of cliff faces. i'll post a small part of a TNT mechanics study i did a while ago for another server. In other words, solid shapes are not to be used and are tested for safety only up to a cube of 4x4x4 (on this server). Encased fuses of TNT are instead safe regardless of lenght, are equally effective, and more controllable. "sparse" tnt-ed surfaces are useful to create cratered, eroded terrain (like i did with the cliff side), but you shouldn't exceed 40% concentration of tnt VS terrain.

Wow, Tom just gave us a perfect map for the new dorms in the latest comic. there, every tank is 10 meters tall, excluding the connections between tanks, including the rounded top and bottom; it's also five meters in diameter. If we equate 1m=1block... I'm off to build it in the grass plain. after that, it's cut&paste time. Thanks, Tom and Lindsey EDIT: First draft done. it's in a new flat area located after the year two dorms. Feel free to add any details you like. Not to mention, remove any leftover bits of dirt and such. I left signs too, follow them TO VICTORY ! EDIT EDIT: after tweaking out the dorms a bit, i felt bored and left a small treat for you guys. Maybe it's something annie saw in the forest? If you come work on the dorms you'll be able to see it. Good Luck! The gift be erased in no time, so don't meditate too much and come to work

Okay, the year 3 dorms are just about finished. We will probably have to make the dorms 2 story with a staircase inside. I will work on the moon pool and we should just about be set for that.

A little while ago, I came across an interesting WIP mod for increasing the height limit. You might want to check that out, see if it's stable yet. The only thing that remains to be built is the triangular part of the dorms, composed of three tanks at the vertices of a triangle, on the side of the moon pool that currently is vacant, opposite to the elevator. Also, some details, but those would be pretty much invisible to normals (aka, those who are not Lindsey) and we can thus just ignore them. I guess. They shouldn't be accessible to the student body in any foreseeable way, so we can cut corners.

I moved spawn in the forest side because having it near the entrance prevented people from editing it and rebuilding the missing tower that was destroyed in the transplant of koplee's model. So, when you're finished, please give me a sign so i can move it back.
