Well, I'd say they will stay together until the end of the comic/their lives. They were created before GkC and Zimmy NEEDS Gamma to stay alive. It would mess up alot of things if they broke up.

The question is, can Jack do something like what Gamma does, or even permanently heal whatever is going on with Zimmy? I think that's unlikely. === What does Jack see in Zimmy? (Assuming, of course, that he's not just teasing Annie.) Is it that she saved him from the whitelegs, or does he, like Gamma, see something we cannot?

Well, I dont think you need to see anything in someone to fall in love. So I dont see the mystery you see.

Jack is totally serious. Zimmy will be right on the verge of shooting him down completely - but when she sees how much this is annoying Annie, she is all over him. Meanwhile, Kat builds a machine that will turn Gamma into a boy so she can prove once and for all that she isn't a lesbian.

Also: If only there were a thread where awesome edits can be preserved for easy future viewage! Bahahaha. This is my favorite strip in some time. I've laughed my head off this whole chapter, but this tops it all, good show. We will never see that face in panel five ever again. If anyone's interested: I had this same image cropped out before coming here, amazing expression. It reminds me of Order of the Stick, where it's terribly overused (with stylized eyebrows). (And robin's edit made me imagine everyone in the forum using this as their avatar, each with the pupils in different positions.) Also, I'm sure someone pointed it out in the 10+ threads I just skimmed, but in 929 and 930 Jack's been looking much more like the young, round-faced Jack than the grown-up, long-faced one.

No girl would go up alone on a balcony with a guy who's been acting weird around her, unless she was going to outright reject him, or be okay with whatever might go down.
I think Annie had some sort of feelings towards Jack, and she was just messing with him/being awkward because she's so young (like what many others have said). Otherwise, she's just cruel.

It's more likely than you think! And God, can this forum pick things apart to their base meanings. Dang, you guys. Daaaaaang.

I think this question deserves an answer because English is an evil evil language. That's why I said "mainly". Or is the word "mostly"? *me speak english not very good* They are synonyms. Practically the same word, but the word mainly might have a slightly stronger tone to it when used. Mostly being more loose. Perhaps because mostly is a less formal sounding word.

To quote James Nicoll: "The problem with defending the purity of the English language is that English is about as pure as a cribhouse whore. We don't just borrow words; on occasion, English has pursued other languages down alleyways to beat them unconscious and rifle their pockets for new vocabulary." I empathize.

I've always loved that quote.
Though I do like that English has so many spare words of almost similar meaning. It lets you play around so much~

It lets you play around so much~ I always wondered if that was really true/specific of English though; sure, English has "time", "tense" and "weather" where French only has "temps", or "gender", "genus" and "genre" where French only has "genre". But then French has "fleuve" and "rivière" where English only has "river", or "neige" and "poudreuse" where English only has "snow".
