Did the real Annie have a cut the first time she was there? Yep, it should have been our first clue that it wasn't her, I guess.

So what conclusion are we supposed to draw from the fact that Zimmy has the mark on the first page of this chapter? I don't know WHAT to think of that yet.

I was showing CIty Face 2 to a friend, and he pointed out that you never see both Ogee and Torus in the same panel.
Are... are they the same person?

Tom gave a pretty funky explanation about them somewhere. As far as I remember they are living in each their parallel universe, but occupying the exact same space in each of them... or something like that - I think there were more details to it EDIT: Okay, not parallel universes. this is what I was referring to.

Did the real Annie have a cut the first time she was there? She had the cut even before she went into Zimmy's world. In the Dobranoc, Gamma arc, she had the cut even though they weren't totally detached from reality. I think Zimmy's special ability is to make things from the etheric world visible in the real world. Or, at least, make them visible to non-magical people.

That theory seems the best one so far though yeah. Though it probably isn't her only ability.

Looking back I noticed the head and wrist connections in this page, which I hadn't noticed at the time, checked the threads for Power Station and sure enough someone had found it, though it appears to have been just that one time.

The dot within a circle symbolizes the sun, or gold.

From the looks of it one might think it's a reaction engine, not a warp engine like Donny's.

In the third treatise, you can see a Venus of Willendorf-type thing at the bottom. I have no idea what it might mean. Also, couldn't you say that the Coyote eye on top of Annie is a "Wandering Eye"?

Maybe not quite what this thread is about, but I noticed something rereading my own old forum posts: Annie's powers causing Surma's malady during birth doesn't quite add up to me. It's not like Annie breathes fire or something like that; This was about two years before we learned of her ancestry in Fire Spike, and about 9 months before Residential, where we saw just how much fire she can create.

Uh, I've only read ten pages or so of this thread, so I don't know if someone's already caught this but on page 560 (which I just started looking at thanks to Wynne's post), look for Ysengrin on the forest side. Over his right ear, which is missing in real life, there's a little bismuth symbol. The meaning is pretty obvious: someone from the court chopped off his ear! Not really a surprise, but what a cool way to show it!

Good catch, but... I think that's just part of his torso. Even if it is a mask, Annie's mask is just a symbol representing her job as mediator. Plus, her mask is intentionally very plain, so the match is likely not intentional.

Oh my gosh, this one blew my mind. www.gunnerkrigg.com/archive_page.php?comicID=555Anja says on the previous page that it the dog was just a puppet, not alive. On this page you can see little eyes on its back. Shadowmen. It's pretty much confirmed in Residential on this page: www.gunnerkrigg.com/archive_page.php?comicID=609And it's confirmed that a Shadowman can take over a non-living body, like what happened with Robot. In a flashback showing us several character's parents (Annie, Kat, Jack) are we also seeing Shadow 2's parents? After all, we don't really know what happened to those shadow people when the dog was captured. (You can see them fleeing) It solves the mystery for me as to how Shadow 2 was born in the Court, at least.

I noticed on this page that Jeanne with her hair up looks an awful lot like Jones. Might just be coincidence or just me, though...
