Yargh, indeed, hence the author's comment at the bottom!

Well, nurr, but his comment could be construed in a smaller scope. As in, just for this page, for this one question. I'm only pointing out my amusement at the metaphor.

I agree, that page came out during a time when people were just dying for answers, and when we saw that page, it was like... well... "Yargh!"
T'was a funny time.

Y'all don't forget that Reynardine can make his eyes glow for cool effect: it doesn't have to mean that he's attempting a possession. Here for example.I interepreted that panel as having one or more of the following meanings: 1) Tom is giving us an ominous and foreboding reminder of Reynardine being in possession of the doll. 2) Reynardine is trying to leave the doll to possess Annie now, and is being blocked by the rules governing his current body. It's true that there are other times when Reynardine's eyes are yellow and he's not trying to possess anyone. But in the panel in question ( it's the next to last panel here) it's not a matter of having glowing yellow eyes - it's a matter of something yellow coming out of the eyes.

Here are some things I noticed recently which I don't think have been mentioned yet (in this thread, at least): Robot's speech bubbles change when he is possessed. 115 vs. 9Doorbot's eyes turn green when he lets Annie in (they are usually orange). 211If you do the math, it looks like Zimmy came to the court the same year as Annie (or maybe the year before, at the most). 192Parley mentions the Eugene Gould psychic challenge. Eugene Gould is credited with discovering the Rogat Orjak in a bonus comic. 386 and 59Before Jack get sucked into Zimmy's hallucination, he doesn't have those creeper lines around his eyes. 451 vs. 620

Amazing catch with the doorbot! That is such a clever detail for Tom to put in.
I also noticed that when he says "Robots only" his eyes turn red (both times). Brilliant.

I noticed the doorbot before but I NEVER in all my readings noticed what jakezack said about Eugene Gould and the Rogat Orjaks. That was a superb find IMO.

And I don't think there's another instance of Anja writing (or being prepared to write) left-handed.

And I don't think there's another instance of Anja writing (or being prepared to write) left-handed. Out of genuine curiosity, is there any other instance of Anja writing at all? Because I like picturing Anja as left-handed, because I'm left-handed, and Anja is like one of my super favorite characters.

Isn't she holding that cup in her left hand in that one stream picture? Hang on a sec... Edit: Yeah here we go. That should be excuse enough ;p

Hm... not finding anything absolutely definitive about whether Anja is right- or left-handed (particularly since many cartoon artists routinely switch handedness to make for better pictures), but I found some indications... <lots of links snipped> Well, most of those links are highly inconclusive: believe it or not lefties do use their right hand... I turn the key in the lock with either hand depending on which way the door opens, etc. The two that are usually conclusive though, are throwing and writing. And she threw with her right hand, and wrote with her left hand (twice). So... I dunno. If there were a Questions To Tom thread, I'd just ask him. Writing, though, is pretty darn conclusive, especially in the scene in Ties where it would have been just as easy for her to be drawn with the pen in her other hand. So based on that, I'm going with left-handed.

Writing, though, is pretty darn conclusive... Yeah, and both times those links were to writing, she was left-handed, without exception... ergo... I write with my left but do gross motor actions with my right, which is not that unusual for lefties.

As stimulating as discussing Anja's handedness is... Tom's comments on [401] are spoken again by Annie at the start of [402] (yeah, you probably noticed, but it's still funny). Both S1 and the Bullbot seem to have exposed, spine-like features on their backs.

[367]: When Annie puts on the sweater, her hair ends up tucked inside the sweater and she has to pull it out in the last panel.

[190]In hindsight, in Zimmingham we see some freakish, giant, spiderish.... bug things. Could they have something to do with what's afflicting Jack?

Believe it or not, I never noticed the following until just now. Page in question is this one. As many times as I've read the comic, I always thought that Door-bot was a floaty bot. And just now I stopped to think, hey, if they have an anti-grav bot, why was Kat's anti-grav so spectacular? It was only then that I looked more closely and realized that that isn't a round anti-grav unit at Door-bot's base. It's a hinge! Door-bot is literally part of the door! It was only then that I noticed the details such as the arcs on the door that represent where he tilts out and back, and also the fact that when he turns around and says "Come on in, friends", we're seeing his back... or at least, the other side of him from the blue-paneled side we see in panel 1 of that page. I don't know how I could have ever missed that all this time...
