I love that Kat made it a Big Red Button. She knows Annie's good with those.

Oh, no. You know how sometimes you may accidentally push the alarm button on the car key fob in your pocket if you move in just the right way?

Honestly, I'm a little surprised this is ending as well as it seems to be. I was kind of expecting things to go pretty badly for Lana at least. (After all, it's the way of the world, isn't it, that it's hardly ever really the one most at fault who gets the most hurt?)

(After all, it's the way of the world, isn't it, that it's hardly ever really the one most at fault who gets the most hurt?) It's probably just Tea-san keeping the panels from looking too crowded, but it's interesting that Lana keeps disappearing. It's as if she's not really part of the conversation. I would expect that on Friday she ought to react to the garage door opener, at least. Or maybe, when Annie does inevitably push the Shiny, Candy-Like Button, Lana would figure out a way to get trapped with him, to complete the whole Romeo and Juliet thing.

I find it completely ridiculous that they can now so easily contain Loup, who has godlike powers

That doesn't mean it couldn't and can't happen, I just see no reason why you would think that.

Honestly, I'm a little surprised this is ending as well as it seems to be. I was kind of expecting things to go pretty badly for Lana at least. That doesn't mean it couldn't and can't happen, I just see no reason why you would think that. Come on, you've never experienced a piece of media where someone sacrifices themselves in an act of love shortly after a couple gets together? I was hoping it wasn't going to happen, but it wouldn't be totally out of left field given there was going to be a confrontation.

Apparently Jerrek's done telling Annie, Kat, and Renard about how Kat brought Lana and him together, because one of the New People waves to Kat and shows her a box. Presumably this is one of the boxes they use to transport robot CPUs in. Perhaps it's full, because she tells Annie that she's going to start teleporting chips back to the workshop and has to go there, so she'll be there for a while.
Annie replies that Renard and she will be fine with "Loup." Jerrek looks downcast, and although Annie isn't looking at him, Renard is. She looks back at him and amends this to "Jerrek," making him look surprised in the background.
Kat then turns her eyes black again and says that she can track him, giving Annie a remote button that she just created. It looks like a garage door opener remote. Kat tells Annie that if Jerrek/Loup does anything "weird," she can push the button to materialize another cage around him. Jerrek looks nervous about this in the background.
So ... are Annie/Kat/Renard impressed by Jerrek's efforts? Is Annie still suspicious? What about Renard, the most recent victim of Loup's rage?

So ... are Annie/Kat/Renard impressed by Jerrek's efforts? Is Annie still suspicious? What about Renard, the most recent victim of Loup's rage? And, the most important question of all: Does Annie have to point the remote at Loup/Jerrek to create the cage or does it always materialize around him without error; and what's the signal range on the thing?
I find it completely ridiculous that they can now so easily contain Loup, who has godlike powers I lean towards the interpretation that if Loup wanted, he could escape the cage (possibly bringing down some of the area around him), but he came to talk, not to fight; and the Coyote Tooth is really dangerous for him, so probably wouldn't like to be on the receiving end of that either.

I find it completely ridiculous that they can now so easily contain Loup, who has godlike powers He did not exactly try to fight it with all he got. Also, that’s kind of another form of the green arrow. That thing both created and restrained Jeanne’s ghost, who was a formidable entity.

And, the most important question of all: Does Annie have to point the remote at Loup/Jerrek to create the cage or does it always materialize around him without error; and what's the signal range on the thing? Considering that Kat said she could track him now just before creating the remote and giving it to Annie, my guess is that it's just a signal to her computer, which is constantly tracking him and waiting for a trigger to materialize the cage around him wherever he is.

I love that Kat made it a Big Red Button. She knows Annie's good with those. It's a ruse - that's just a garage door opener, but Kat needed to put on a show for Loup. Against all evidence to the contrary, I choose to believe this is canon, because my brain honestly just can't handle the absurdity of Kat loudly declaring that she's going to leave now, and that she sure hopes nothing bad happens to this tiny, fragile, anti-Loup device, RIGHT IN FRONT OF HIM.

Wow, forbidding Jerrek and Lana from engaging in anything weird on threat of imprisonment. *Kat isn't going to be a free love kind of God after all.
*alternative joke* Kat is more like traditional diteys then I thought.

I don't know, but if somebody handed me an anti-god button, I'd definitely aim it at the god in question before using it. It would make for a good panel if nothing else.
