Leaving Kat? Leaving the Court? The UK? Earth?

Well, she can't be leaving to sail on the magical space ocean. They wouldn't allow her, she has etheric abilities. So she must be planning to go home.
I get it honestly. She came here to attend a school, but right now there is no school, soon most of the administration that gave paying jobs will be AWOL, and there's an angry psychophatic god roaming the place. Annie and Kat were born to Court families, but Paz had to move away. What reason does she still have to be this far from her family? What future is there for her here?

Leaving Kat? Leaving the Court? The UK? Earth? It can't be going with the Court, she didn't get an invite. Has she accepted she really can't change them from within? Doesn't see any point in staying if they're just going to leave her behind in the end? Or does she just mean breaking up with Kat? Leaning towards A+B which means C by extension.

Man, I knew that's why Kat was thinking about leaving. And they don't know Paz has a connection to the ether, do they? Because she's never done anything for the mice themselves.

Jack found information about it in the school files. I reckon Kat was considering going with the Court because she realised how impressive Omega must be if the star ocean project was built for it.

I guess if you become so disillusioned by the court then leaving is the natural response. Perhaps Kat was the only thing keeping her here, and now that Kat has gone this far even that is gone and broken.
The thing I worry about is what happens when Kat finds out and tries to "fix" things. I worry how far Kat has gone down the "I have the power to do anything" hole.

Paz taking a jet plane
Also it's probably her parents recalling her due to court leaving plus the danger

Somebody else already pointed out Paz didn't get an invite to the Court's "gowing away" briefing. Kat is aware of that since she's the one who told Annie. Kat 100% knows that if she leaves on the star ocean she won't see Paz (or her parents, or Annie) ever again.

I just don't think it's a parental thing for writing reasons: It takes away from Paz' agency as a character for those kinds of decisions to be made for her, and she doesn't have the kind of narrative focus Annie did when say, Tony came back to make 'parents pulling me out' anything but a cheap deus exit machina.

I think it's just a highlight of them still not being 18 while living their lives in the court as if they are 6 young 20 something's living above a coffee shop in New York

Kat being able to build a huge computer like this so quickly must be largely thanks to the seed bismuth. Which leads to the question: will the Court take the seed bismuth with them over the star ocean? I doubt it, since it's an etheric item, but what would the court be without it? And if they do take it with them, Kat and the other left-behinds will have little reason to stay where they are since the area isn't that special anymore.

... Well that gives a reason for Kat to go too far. Especially of the hears a problem tries to fix problem bent, especially if she only gets a reason, not the reason but a reason second hand from Annie for why.
And then goes too far trying to fix what she thinks is the main reason for Paz leaving.
Because I don't think Kat would pull a Diego.
That said I do think it's very much the situation at the Court not Kat driving this decision. Paz was firmly told that the Court won't listen to her and has actively refused to ever with how they are leaving her and others behind. And after that... Well there does not seem to be enough for a functioning Court at this time once they leave.

Question: why has the "rolling restart" activated a lot of the machines? What is Kat now building? Unless the machines are returning to default position but... it seems to dramatically focused for that.

No, Kat's going to end up doing EVERYTHING to stop her lady love from leaving.

Waited till she was certain, that Kat couldn't hear. Honestly though, she'd make a great vet somewhere more normal.

After a panoramic first frame suggesting time passing (and Paz typing), we see Paz and Annie looking at the console while Kat tells them that a rolling restart of something (presumably some set of systems) will begin when they hit Enter. We see the screen, which again is just some white text on a black background, as Kat says she'll be incommunicado until this process is done, but she can get them out if they return to the place where they came in. (Do they remember how to get back there?) And then Paz presses Enter.
There are some noises as they walk away from the console. It may be that this process is doing more than just restarting servers; those servers may reset the positions of some mechanical components as they restart.
And then they talk some more. Annie asks whether Paz was so subdued today because of her concern for Kat. But Paz's reply is a pretty major "Yes, and." She says, "I'm leaving."
Leaving? Does she mean she's leaving Kat? Or does she mean she's going back home? Paz is the only character who came from outside the Court whose home we've seen in any detail (in "Traveller"). With the Court packing up to go to another planet and with Paz not going along, that does put Paz among the many students (and adults) who will be left behind without any further education, and possibly without working infrastructure, in the very near future. Perhaps she's thinking about her future. Unless the Court is taking care of the students it's leaving behind in some way (setting up school transfers, etc.), she'll be left in the regular normal world without a high school diploma. Her family isn't the wealthiest; the money the Court sent while Paz was attending school there was sorely needed. Now that that money's presumably drying up, she'll have to find some other way to help her family.
So my guess is that she's leaving the Court and going back home to Spain. I guess that means that either she doesn't think she can continue their relationship after that, or that she just hasn't told Kat yet, so whether it can be worked out or not, the thought is casting a pall over her every interaction with Kat. Will Paz be breaking up with Kat? Or will their relationship become a long-distance (possibly trans-dimensional) one?

I also think "leaving" means Paz is leaving the Court, most likely to go back to Spain. But I don't think it is because of Annie's closeness to Kat, or because Kat's work is more important to her than Paz, but because she doesn't want to be around when Kat dies (or becomes something that is no longer Kat). I am not sure whether she is leaving the relationship.
For some reason today's episode brought the " Traveller" extra comic to mind strongly for me.

Paz probably told her first.

I think it's just a highlight of them still not being 18 while living their lives in the court as if they are 6 young 20 something's living above a coffee shop in New York Sounds right to me. It's rather easy to forget they're still teenagers. Paz parents are not affiliated with the Court in any way so it's only natural for them to get her out of there considering the danger. Also i'm not sure if there's even a school anymore for her to attend. Plus dealing with all the crazy stuff including insane godlike beings, dangerous forest creatures and ominous Court plans could've been hard on Paz as well. And we shouldn't forget about robot zombies we saw in the beginning of the chapter.

Given that Paz isn't invited to the Star Ocean thing, and that her parents aren't in the court (which we know from one of Tom's bonus comics), I'd guess she's going home to be with her family and crippled dog and cows. Maybe pulled out of school due to recent events, at a guess. Or maybe just because it isn't really much of a school any more! Wouldn't the girls be in 6th form by now, if the school were functioning?
I'd say 70% chance she's going home, 25% she's transferring to a school where she can actually graduate someday, 5% she's dropping out to move to the big city.

Regarding all the questions whether there has been any school since Loup's attack: Well, sort of. No classes, but course work to do at home (getting major Covid lockdown vibes, why didn't I notice when this page came out?). Question: why has the "rolling restart" activated a lot of the machines? What is Kat now building? Unless the machines are returning to default position but... it seems to dramatically focused for that. I still think she's hacking the court's computers. The rolling restart is to propagate her software into them as they reboot. That's not really an answer to the question... Unless we assume this whole place and the machines and servers in there do not belong to Kat. Which would require her to have been lying to her girlfriend and her best friend all the time. Which, in my opinion, makes no sense, since at least Annie already knew Kat wanted to hack the Court. Long distance relationships are a thing. Though I admit I haven't ever heard of teenagers being able to pull one off successfully.
