For all the, with hindsight, unfair criticism I've already heaped on Paz, I can see her getting even angrier at Kat for this. If Kat can't get back in her old body, Paz might consider that reason enough to go to Donnie and Anja and blow the whistle on what she's just done, and by extension everything else.
Edit: Heck, Annie is just as angry and might do it herself.

Oh, Kat...
We knew Mecha Kat was coming, but it is still sad when the leap is made, with zero warning to her friends.

If I was that kid's mother, I would have to find entirely new ways to ground her and to yell at her but I would even if that meant leaving my own body to chase her inside her own super computer. It 'kinda worked' ? ? ? GIRL

Ghost in the Machine bay-bay!
I feel like she has however put zero thought into what Paz will think of being the girlfriend of a disembodied voice, after being kept out of the loop of what Kat is planning.
That or her thought was "this will be so cool! I'm sure Paz will also think it is cool!"

That or her thought was "this will be so cool! I'm sure Paz will also think it is cool!" I don't think she realized this would happen. Her plan was to stay in her body and access the computer from there. Maybe it isn't that bad and she'll learn to manage both her old flesh body and her new computer one. Side note, this is pretty much the reverse operation of what she's done with the robots' transfer of consciousness.

Kat's initial enthusiasm may wane if it turns out her flesh body is too damaged to return to. I mean that explosion was right at her NECK, her spinal cord could be all sorts of messed up right now. Sure, being a disembodied spirit who can travel through the internet is fun, but it sure makes kissing your girlfriend, hugging your best friend, feeling the warm sun on your skin, or anything else that involves the sense of taste, touch, and smell non-existent. When a similar situation happened to Metallo in Superman: The Animated Series, he went completely insane upon realizing he'd never again be able to use those senses.

Well, "kinda worked" seems accurate. Kat was expecting to have direct mental access to her computer; she just didn't anticipate being unable to operate it and her own body simultaneously. Probably a bandwidth issue. These things happen during piecemeal upgrades, you know?
I can see why she's not very worried, though; Kat's surrounded by people who treat their bodies as temporary vehicles. Never mind the New People, Annie astrally projects all the time. Rey hops into other bodies, and Coyote and Loup build new bodies to inhabit. House Foley have all switched bodies. Kat's the odd one out, really--although she already managed to project her consciousness inside Diego's arrow during the Jeanne fight. So the pilot study's already complete!

Well, but Kat is the world's leading expert on downloading digital consciousnesses into flesh bodies that can do all that. Along with whatever other upgrades she can cram in. I'm betting laser eyes, an anti-gravity unit and a sub-woofer are at the top of the list. Edit: I guess we don't yet know whether the New People can taste and enjoy traditional food. I kind of assumed they could, it just didn't have the right nutrient profile to live on.

"From the moment I understood the weakness of my flesh, it disgusted me. I craved the strength and certainty of steel. I aspired to the purity of the Blessed Machine. Your kind cling to your flesh, as though it will not decay and fail you. One day the crude biomass you call the temple will wither, and you will beg my kind to save you..."
For real now... What the hell IS she now? Did she turn her consciousness into program code? If so the Court can literally copy her and make the copy serve them with all it's knowledge. Or hijack her body via that implant. Both possibilities would kinda explain Kat killing Zimmy.
