For sure, and we are right to be suspicious of the Court. I just don't think the average court citizen has the same knowledge and reasons to be suspicious as we do. Are Tony and Donny “average court citizen”? If no, why? Those already in various closed coteries and conspiracies at least somewhat distrust at least someone else. You mean Zimmyham, being tracked when he went a bit crazy, the power station and the robots going nuts on a boat? I dunno, without other context/incidents I dunno if that puts the Court in a super suspicious light, and that's just for Jack. Yes, but Jack immediately jumped to the conclusion that Zimmy’s presence on the boat means “someone does something dangerously harebrained”. And wasn’t wrong, just did not guess who it was that time. And during this misadventure, he have seen neutralization talismans and that even robots are not just nice talking furniture, but have multiple active factions, each willing to take risks for its agenda. Well we know that Jack has seen a lot of what was going in in the court's computer files that they don't talk about. That's how he knew about the food tracking thing. Who knows what else he picked up in there? The fact that he's aware of Loup (by name) and other current events makes me think he hasn't given up that access. Or was allowed to “keep” it? ’tis better to have them where you can see them, and all that. I mean, Shadow Men have some intelligence (in both senses) up and running, even if they may be goofs sometimes.

I wonder if that 'perhaps if things had been different' is a hint he's already ahead of where Kat is. Has he gotten past the omega project's security and been running the probabilities on a few things already?

I would be surprised if most of the higher ups considered Zimmy human and we've seen what they are willing to do to someone who is actually human worh the arrow For sure, and we are right to be suspicious of the Court. I just don't think the average court citizen has the same knowledge and reasons to be suspicious as we do. maybe not for majority of the story but certainly since the Loup attack

Zimmy has colored speech bubbles. Gamma doesn't speak english. Did not. Long ago. Jenny might be an option, though she's sounded a bit gothier and more British in the past. She does seem to regard Annie with sort of sympathetic humour. Their first meeting started with « Why, helloooo.» Granted, Annie and Kat were staring weirdly.

Seems like the escape plan being announced now is the perfect time, it doesn't seem suspicious because desire to escape magic is probably at an all time high, and like I said I don't think the average citizen has a reason to be suspicious of the Court. Even the cost of being forgotten isn't to bad if you're sufficiently worried about dying by a wolf deity.

I don't consider Tony and Donny average citizens, they are both clearly involved in the Omega project to some degree. They have inside knowledge and probably don't trust the Court fully. But as participants in the Court, which seems like a lot of independent departments, they probably have positive feelings about their contributions and the contributions of others they work with, so aren't thinking "ah of course, the headmaster wants to murder an orphan". Jack has reasons to distrust the Court sure, most people probably do. But just cause the the plan is sketchy doesn't mean everyone in the Court should be assuming it's a trap and that the Court is willing to murder to see it through. We have a lot more insight and information then anyone in the Comic.
