I wonder if "Loup" is chill and tricksy enough to talk his way out of this. He could pretend to be some other sort of etheric creature, for example...

Damn, I am already sorry for Robot... so much to explain yet, and an apotheosis to see...

“I was just checking the bunks and found a note reading ‘I am the creature Loup in disguise’ in yours.”
Well god damn ain’t that a bit sudden to drop on us? Next page Robot’s gonna show us he found the seed bismuth too, being handed out by that Steadman person.

Cutting right to the chase. No sense of self preservation I guess.
Though I get the feeling he's got something prepared...

Robot has been handling all the mind transfers himself, hasn't he? Probably has a database of all of the ones he's processed.
Perhaps he spotted early this early on and has been trying to confirm his guess. Robot working Loup into his own plans is concerning though, given what happened on the cruise ship when he made a plan last time.

Assuming "Loup" chooses words over fangs but fails to buffalo Robot, I think Robot will suggest a common cause. The help of a god could do much to further The Work or remove distractions from same. Shall we spend the time waiting for the next update brainstorming such?

I went through the earlier chapters. I counted one instance of Robot and Jerrek interacting, here. (or via gossip here) Maybe it's my subconscious desire to keep this Jerrek-is-secretly-Loup-storyline going talking, but I suspect nothing will come of this. This could simply be that Robot is asking all New People if they are Loup in disguise.

This could simply be that Robot is asking all New People if they are Loup in disguise. That's a hilarious image, Robot going from NP to NP with the same smiling face asking the same question. R: "Are you Loup?" "No?" R: "Are you Loup?" "No." R: "Are you Loup?" "Yes." R: "Ah, well then I hav... "I was joking." R: "Oh."

Well the robots of this comic have a history of not considering the possibility that the other party might be lying and therefore thinking a simple question/ instruction sufficient. So I am arguing this scenario you're suggesting, yes. (apart from the NP answering "Yes.")

I'm wondering if this has anything to do with Shadow. Loup is basically what's left of Shadow's creator I guess?
It's been a while since we last saw him
Edit: I'm seeing this because that's the main reason I can think of for Robot to do something behind Kat's back, now that he doesn't have to trick her into working on robodies

Robot's player: Alright, Jerrek seems suspicious. I wanna know what he's doing. DM: Roll insight. Robot's player: *Rolls* Natural 20! DM: You're pretty sure Jerrek is the creature Loup in disguise.

After my internal shout of "what the fffff...ire elemental", this is pretty much how I felt. But the next page will probably have Robot calmly and logically explaining how he added two and two and got twenty-two. Possibly while executing a series of graceful parkour/kung-fu (parkung-four?) dodges in quick succession to avoid Loup's most likely response.

I can't believe Robot would be so narrow-minded as to think new peoples wouldn't immediately start developing random powers, like humans have been forever. It's just a side effect of being alive really.

The image of JerrLoup phasing through the wall in panel #2 was great, but when I saw robot at the end of the alley in panel #4, I thought I heard the doom music kick in.
I don't think Robot poses any threat to Loup in a direct confrontation - I am with several others who expect Robot to propose some sort of (and-I-really-hope-it's-not-Faustian) bargain.

But I really think that the artwork, showing Jerrek moving at Loup-speed but not looking where he's going, suggests that he'll bump into something he didn't expect. Bet that guy wasn't expecting that.

Cutting right to the chase. No sense of self preservation I guess. Though I get the feeling he's got something prepared... Time for self-preservation in those situations is "long before". Assuming "Loup" chooses words over fangs but fails to buffalo Robot, I think Robot will suggest a common cause. The help of a god could do much to further The Work or remove distractions from same. Also, he does not have anyone else who understands security, what's with all other Seraphs being in disgrace. And Loup is a shapeshifter good at staying in character. And/or he got the wind of the sudden "meeting" and is worried about Kat.
