Well, this doesn't bode well. No matter the direction it heads. Agreed. Eeeeeee, pretty excited for what comes of this. Maybe the other Seraphs have been watching Loup and reporting to Robot. Or maybe on the next page Robot will verbally/visually recount a series of dumb not-NP things Loup has unwittingly done in front of others.

Robot probably had a hand (as the "Angel") in every robot -> NP transition, and likely remembers every single one. So he would naturally be suspicious of an unrecorded NP that appeared out of nowhere but still has the physical characteristics of one.

Despite his friendship with Annie and Kat, Robot's done some disturbing things over the course of the story - his cultlike preaching about Kat making new bodies for the other robots (which reached the point where Shadow2 became troubled) and the hint that he was partly behind the events in "The Torn Sea". We haven't seen as much of that since, but I'm wondering whether we could be in for another such development - such as Robot approaching Loup for a deal that would benefit the New People, but not the original humans (apart from Kat, whom they still need). We might come away from this scene with the uneasy feeling that the other robots had the right idea when they disassembled him and hid him in that closet.

I think it will end with Loup falling in love with Lana, transforming her into a goddess named Louvre, then running off into the sunset to make insane walking-dead-robot-wolf-creature puppies.

Well, this is a hell of a strip to be the first one in ages I forgot to check on the day of publication.
I don't know what Robot expects to happen but he probably knows as well as anyone that the thing that really kick-starts most cults and religions is a good martyr.

The Robot. Undisputed master of getting straight to the point.

Loup destroys robot, finds out robot left recording explaining everything that activates if he got destroyed, so Loup makes three alternative robots to quell the anger. Annie is still upset at him so he makes 3 of her as well, planning to get rid of whichever 2 are most hostile to him at later date. Boxbot says this is terrible, but Renard approves as he likes Annies, and romantic comedy harem animes.

I was correct that by zooming out on Annie and Renard, Tom was intending to narratively follow Jerrek/Loup next. I was also correct that Jerrek's not looking where he was going was probably a foreshadowing that he was going to run into something he didn't expect. Not that I expected this either.
Jerrek moves at Loup-speed to an unknown place somewhere in the streets of the Court. But then, out of the shadows steps Robot. At first it looks as if Robot merely wants to talk to Jerrek as Jerrek. But then Robot asks Jerrek if he's Loup in disguise.
Back when it was first revealed (to the readers) that Jerrek was Loup, there was a lot of speculation that Robot would notice an "extra" New Person. After all, he's still got an electronic brain, with the perfect recall that comes with it. He's most likely been present for the transition of every New Person, and he would know that Jerrek isn't one he's seen. Now, that explains how Robot would know that Jerrek's an impostor, but not how he'd know it was Loup. But all it would take is a little bit of surveillance for Robot to see him in an unguarded moment, stalking Annie, muttering to himself. His ear and eyes might even change – it's difficult to say exactly how diegetic those changes are.
So, Robot's the first cast member to figure out that Jerrek is actually Loup. What does Robot want with him? I notice that he's not going to Annie or Kat with this information but rather to Loup directly. This suggests that he may want to make a deal with Loup. To this I can only say, "Uh-oh." Robot knows an awful lot of secrets that could be used for some very nefarious purposes.
What will Loup do? I mean, he could put Robot in orbit, where he wouldn't be telling anybody about Jerrek. I suspect Robot isn't intending to threaten Loup with exposure, therefore, but rather to give him an offer to help him with something he wants in exchange for something from Loup. Would Loup be willing to make some kind of deal?

Welp I've been predicting that it would be Robot that would finger Jerrek/Loup, in multiple threads. Cookie?
Now that it's happened, I'm not sure what will happen next. Also, why Robot approached him in private, instead of telling Kat (or others) about it. He's always working the angles, right? I feel like we're about to see him make an offer to Loup, to keep his secret if he... what? Don't know!
Options:
1. He really did wait until Jerrek was by himself, and no witnesses were around, before approaching him, just as it appears. Which means he wants to make a deal of some kind, probably. Really, this is my best guess. 2. He told Kat or others about his theory before going there. So this could be an ambush. 3. He left a time bomb (in Kat's computer?) so if something happens to him, she'll learn what he suspected and what he planned to do about it.
These aren't entirely mutually exclusive, either. For example, "try for a deal, but leave a failsafe message just in case".
Don't forget, Robot isn't necessarily a nice guy and doesn't necessarily care about humans all that much! His big thing is taking care of his people. He also has always talked about Kat being the Angel and being really important, but honestly, we don't know for sure if that's how he really feels or if it was pure manipulation. Taking care of Annie and Renard certainly isn't at the top of his list, and he may well be willing to make deals involving them!
Robot's priorities, maybe not in the right order:
1. Shadow! His one true love. 2. His race - the other robots. 3. The New People - I'm not sure this should be a separate entry? Note that he called Arthur the first of a new race though! 4. Kat - probably? 5. Are other humans, like Kat's best friend, even on his list? 6. What about the Court? They didn't ever treat the robots very well, nor the shadow men...
Summary is that I'm pretty worried about what will happen next. I don't think this is a Robot plot to get rid of Loup, and that it is far more likely to be an attempt to pull Loup into one of HIS plots.
