Is Loup's arc seriously going to be about 'the only thing being worse than not getting what you want is getting it?' So is that a look of admiration, or a look of "Ah Loup, there you are"? I'm just a tiiiiiiny bit put off by knowing this is Loup who now seems to be crushing on Annie. I know, I know, Coyote also "loved" his firehead girl, and Forest-Loup took this to a whole new creepy level, but that was different, because Annie knew what she was getting into and slapped that sucker silly. Now... idk, how DOES Annie feel about the NP? Do the rules of "no relationships with robots" still apply?

This seems to be her quietly-smiling-wise medium persona that she uses for almost everybody, especially when she's in a more protective / mentor role relative to that person. It's not the first person who's blushed when faced with that smile and none of them got to date her. |

Annie is not only well known to not care about the rules, she also actively helped others to pursue just such a relationship. Yeah, no. This is not a romantic moment with soft violins playing in the background. At least, not for Annie. Loup may be caught off guard with how much he actually likes her* or he may just be playing his jerrek-who-likes-annie role really well, but even then I think this is just a quiet moment of annie enjoying some intellectual talk and maybe being fascinated by how an NP may think.
*edit to add: and I don't mean in a romantic way, I mean in a more genuine "hey this one might be okay" instead of just piggy-backing off coyote and ysengrin's (also not romantic) feelings.

What I'm curious about is whether Jerrek lines before the final one are things he spoke outloud or not because it's not really clear, it might be an internal monologue. If he did speak those things, I'm 99% sure this is Annie figuring him out but it's it'd be nice to have clarity over whether he thought or spoke those lines

I think from our perspective knowing it's Loup makes it easier to connect the dots of "Oh that's such a Loup thing". The robots have had some shared quirks sure, but they've always been individuals who could be very uniquely quirky too. Annie's probably just going "Haha, this guy's so feisty behind that shy demeanor, first protecting Lana and then getting so worked up over this"

It appears that Loup did a better job of making an NP body than he probably intended, and is having a bit of a run-in with the Puberty Gnome. Causing him to lose cognition ability in the presence of cute females.

Given Annie's look in the last panel on page 2607 I interpret this not as romantic interest on her end but as "Oh hey, this person has interest in the same subjects as me and has interesting thoughts about it! How pleasant.".
That Jerrek starts blushing is just par for the course.
