Still a measured response from "Loup." He could up his one-liner game, though. A better response to "You..!" would have been "Me."

Tom about to pull his patented "he's an abuser but sometimes their heart is in the right place"-schtick.
I can never tell if it's a problematic relationship with abuse, or an attempt at an "it's problematic so it must be complex!" style of writing.

Idk, I wouldn't be surprised if in this case it will literally just be "he's an abuser and he's going to get called out on it". Loup IS an abuser. 'Jerrek' is only doing this to further his own interests. This is not "Tony is horrible to Antimony, but he actually really cares about her and just wants her to do better at school". This is "a completely selfish god-like creature just got annoyed at creatures that used to fear and respect him now ignoring him".

I don't know what's going through his mind but it might also have something to do with his present form. Coyote when he was a dead goose in a bush started to forget he wasn't really a dead goose in a bush. Loup didn't juste take the form of Jerek, Jerek also has a personality completely disconnected from Loup's and maybe there is a weird thing going on where the feelings of fake Jerek are affecting Loup. Maybe Loup started to forget he's not really Lana's friend and he felt protective of her for that reason.

Lana is surprised at Jerrek for finger-locking Mr. Touchy Feely. Is she surprised because she thinks he's being unreasonable, not realizing the direction in which things had been going? Or is she surprised because she didn't know he was capable of a move like that?
Gray Shirt gets threatening and puts a hand on Jerrek's shoulder, causing Jerrek to release the finger lock, which had brought Black Shirt down to a crouch. Gray Shirt looks like he's going to punch Jerrek in the face ...
Extreme close-up of Jerrek's face, with bloodshot eyes and little red rings ā very, very reminiscent of Loup's eyes. Deep shadows over the top half of his face, accentuating the eyes even more. Some various cracks and smudges visible too. Is this literally visible, or is this only visible to someone who can see into the Ether just a little bit? Or would someone able to see into the Ether have seen even more?
The treens leave, yelling some invective only once they're in the distance. So did they recognize Loup in Jerrek's eyes? (Have they ever actually seen Loup?) Or did they just recognize something dangerous and powerful? It's not entirely clear how much of the Ether the tree people can see.

Loup is experiencing reality inside the machine interface. That is what is causing his personality to splinter. Kat has basically imprisoned Loup inside a prison of love.

I think Loup let a just fleeting glimpse of a part of himself leak out, enough to indicate that he is way more than the mild NP that he seems, and that "more" is dangerous and powerful and emphatically not something they want to mess with. Its possible Lana doesn't even see this doom-face, since she is off to the side.

D'aww, look how hard he's concentratin'. You are loved, Lana L'android! You made the Joker use his Batman voice! Tom about to pull his patented "he's an abuser but sometimes their heart is in the right place"-schtick. Can you patent realism? I'd take that one to the bank. Idk, I wouldn't be surprised if in this case it will literally just be "he's an abuser and he's going to get called out on it". Loup IS an abuser. Loup's a baby. Babies tend to abuse anything they're strong enough to mess with, until they learn empathy. Usually by getting called out on it, granted. Is there a Lori in the house? We all act in our own interests; the question is what those interests are. According to Loup, Lana is useful for getting him close to Antimony. Affairs with random elf boys are unlikely to change that calculation, so Loup's intervention here is probably more for Lana's sake than for his own. Doesn't mean he did the right thing, but altruism is a sign of maturity! Next: Jerrek gets Eradicated. Or e-toyocated. Antimony backwards is "why not many?"

I thought of this myself, but (at least as far as I understood it) we were privy to Loup's thoughts right until the elf boys turned up, and those said he had a low opinion of NP in general and Lana in particular, and what he is focused on are Annie and those lights he can see inside the Court... Plus, if Loup actually started to forget he is not actually Jerrek, shouldn't he take up Jerrek's timid personality then? What he is doing here does not look at all like something the "Jerrek" he has shown us so far would do.
Let's say if it turns out the Jerrek persona made him do it after all, I will expect Loup to be as surprised as I will be myself.

Loup has enormous power and is always the center of attention. The elfs are acting as if they have social power in this situation, and Lana is the center of attention. The whole situation was probably as awkward for Loup as it was for us, as well as a new experience for him personally. I assume he just reacted without a lot of thought and is gonna be analyzing why he reacted the way he did, which will show us more of who he really is.

I don't know if anyone else has pointed it out, but does it look like Jerrek's hair is let down in that third panel? At least it looks like the shadow of his hair let down. Hm...

What I'm saying is, this may not be an on/off switch but a slower, more subtle process. It took Coyote four days to forget who he was when he pretended to be a dead goose. There might be gradual progress from thinking fully like Coyote and fully believing to be a dead goose. So even though Loup still knows he's Loup and still has his personality, some part of his thoughts might be contaminated by the pretense. If that is the case, I would expect the contamination to become worse, especially since there is a high chance he would have a harder time controlling it than Coyote would.

I like how, on Panel 1, the perspective of her face tells me she is not looking to Jerek or TouchyGuy, but in the middle of both of them, so basically screaming at the air.

No offense, but this sounds like a racial slur. xD In the collective plural form "treen", it is, actually, a name for useful objects carved from wood, such as wooden spoons. "Treens" is not a word, but I took it as a novel coining combining "trees" and "teens" and thought it was clever. There's no need at all to say nasty things about it unless you have evidence of malice on the part of the speaker.
