Sooo... eerm... what's your favorite color format and color? I like hex, and #391475. It's a dark blue, but with a hint of purple!

So much can be conveyed by an abrupt fade to black. We don't know whether there's a character involved who will wake up injured in a hospital somewhere (Good Hope?) or whether the whole paradigm has just dissolved into primordial chaos. Or something even worse (I'm poking fun at myself).

Well folks it was fun, but it seems that the all consuming void won. Let's all stay in touch, shall we?
Being serious, a black screen is probably one of the most intriguing things Tom could have put up. The lack of information is enticing.

Booooo, you just spoiled the ending of a game that I just can't seem to finish because there's TOO MANY DAMNED BOSSES! Now I know all the way at the end it's just black!

Is this definitely just black and not a gif which will flash up one frame of something if you stare for 10 minutes?

We are, of course, now well into a fun game of guessing (or making up) what the next frame will be.
My imagination is now running with a black page except with Coyote sniggering out of the fourth wall, "And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Great Spirit moved upon the face of the waters."
Alternatively, the next frame could contain something like the following, in green:
C:\>_

I think this black page is technically just replacing the bonus page. The previous tidal wave has the end chapter symbol on the bottom right too. The bonus page being blacked out like this is certainly ominous, but it may also mean shit's too real to make a joke? I wouldn't mind knowing what Kat and Rey have been up to, though.

What a (bonus) page... And on a Friday too
Dream sequence time, perhaps? Some messing around in the ether? That one Skyrim meme?

I'd been hoping myself that the bonus page would be serious - the timing felt wrong for another humor page. I certainly hadn't predicted this, though.

SCENE: The view out Tony's living room window, currently I'm imagining Tony stoically sipping from a cup, without averting his gaze, then going "Hmm". I know he's British-adjacent, but I see him as a a coffee drinker.

My guess: this is the current scene from the point of view of the Shadow Men, now buried under gigatons of Gillitie Forest.
