Hello, guys. Time to visit the Wood again, perhaps? [edit] Panel 2: I see a gray shape that is shorter and more rotund than the others. [/edit]

Shame about the rubble. The divide looks much nicer this way.

Also: the outfit. Shirt 50% tucked into belted jeans, two hair clips. Hoping that's not one thumb in thumb-hole sleeve, one not. No socks.

There's not enough to tell individuals in that grey mob other than Aata, so we can only guess if Jones is there or not. On one hand, she doesn't represent the Court and got thrown out last time she tried to enter the Forest. On the other, she's the eternal observer and probably wouldn't turn up a chance to see what's going to happen next.
Edit: Mandatory "nothing can possibly go wrong."

Nice little side tuck from Annie.
Such fashion. Much wow.
For real, though, I don't know if I'm just more aware now, but it feels like UnitedAnnie's look is a bit more trendy and less basic than before.

Also, interesting to consider that it might be the first time the Shadow Men were to the forest and all the information they have is second-hand. I wonder what exactly they expect from a creature as unpredictable as Loup. First of all they just have to have contingency plans, but what measures are effective against an incumbent trickster god? To me it seems ill-planned that they would just all go there at once, rather than send a specially trained representative with heavy backup support.

Panel 2 has a little more detail than panel 3. I think I see Aata talking to Khepi with another elf next to Khepi. It could be Jones to the right of Aata.

It is just me or she looks a little...sloppier than usual? Annie's clothes are usually more tidy than that, for example, even when he was back from the forest.

By the way, what do you guys think will be Loup's reaction to finding his "trick" undone? I sincerely hope he's just going to laugh it off, as the last time he got "bitter" it was not nice at all.

there's a briefcase on the ground in panel 2, next to the possible-Jones figure. Probably what they are carrying the lake water vial in.... Possibly interesting, because it suggests they had Jones carrying it, which would prevent anyone aside from a god from making off with it.

That's one element I've only started wondering about recently. I'd been so focused on such questions as "Will the Court try any tricks in returning the lake water?" "Will this chapter see the fulfilment of Coyote's words that Loup will die after learning Coyote's plan?" and "Is the tooth the subject of the memory contained in the lake water? If so, what role will it now play?" that I'd forgotten that the two Annies had been brought back together, and what Loup might say about that.

Not being a teen I can't answer this, but I think it looks good on her. Nice little side tuck from Annie. Such fashion. Much wow. It's a more loose outfit, whereas the one you linked to was more form fitting. I wouldn't describe that as sloppy, it's just a different look.

Just more casual. it's a looser fitting ensemble and seems more focused on comfort and flexibility. If I had to guess, I'd say its the clothing representing Annie being more at ease with her self.
Also I like her hair. Best style since the original cut, I think.

I don't think "Loup" had a long-term plan for the twinning so I don't think he'll really care about that... but if Zeta didn't undo it correctly, say for example she just superimposed them, he'd care about that. there's a briefcase on the ground in panel 2, next to the possible-Jones figure. Probably what they are carrying the lake water vial in.... Possibly interesting, because it suggests they had Jones carrying it, which would prevent anyone aside from a god from making off with it. I'm excited by the idea of briefcases for Antimony to carry the water to "Loup" in, perhaps one that needs two keys to open so they can be sure he's got his nose pressed to the briefcase when it goes off opens... but honestly not sure if those are briefcases or stylized rubble. Or possibly Boxbot and Robox.

My usual impressions: First there's an establishing shot of the ruins of Court buildings near the Forest border. Apparently nobody's rebuilt them. After all, what would be the point? Loup would be likely to smash them again. Where are the shield-making robots? Has the Court reprogrammed all of them by now?
Then a long shot of the Court-Forest border, with a group of people in the middle distance, on the Court side. They seem to be clustered around a central person. One of them is shorter (Aata?). There's also some sort of briefcase or other similar container (possibly protecting the lake water vial?).
Then we see Annie, making her way across the ruins. Her shirt is half-tucked, meaning it's probably been a bit strenuous getting here. Her hair's been growing. It's done differently than usual.
Ahead of Annie, waiting for her, we see Parley, Cvet, and James. Parley and Annie wave at each other. The distant group of people thus doesn't contain any of these characters. Likely Aata and Jones are there. We'll probably find out who else is there soon.
This is starting out pretty much as we'd expect – the Shadow Men have a plan, and the water, and I'm sure they've got a role in their plan for Annie, as well as Cvet, Parley, and James. They might have various other contingency plans too, as unpredictable as Loup is. But they're keeping their plans under their hats – even James isn't party to their planning, which means they probably have some surprises that they don't even want other Court officials to know about. They've probably told James something, but I doubt it was everything. Need-to-know basis, of course, and they decide who needs to know.

When we find out, it'll tell us more about what he originally did, and what Zimmy did. My speculation: "Aha, you figured out what I did! I was sure you'd be trying to figure out alternate dimensions or timelines or some such thing. Well done, my love!"

Loup seems so much more dangerous and unpredictable than either of the underlying characters, I'm hopeful that we'll see some kind of progression of his story here, something more than aggressive, demanding and dangerous giving us a further window into his goals and motivations.

I dunno, I always got a very dangerous vibe from Coyete, and Loup just enforces it more. Coyeye knew this would happen, and while he may have not predicted/foreseen Loup exactly, he foresaw a Coyete without control and was still okay with that happening. Like we can be mad at Loup all we want, but this is Coyetes doing imo.

Coyote has always been an antagonist, I agree, however Coyote's plans seemed to be more concrete and seemed to involve Annie being alive. It's just not clear to me what Loup's plans are - sure, this is all part of Coyote's 'master plan' at some level since he clearly set up this situation to occur, but what he expects Loup to do and what Loup will do is still unclear to me. Ren always wanted to show the court how strong he was - he has done a little of that - is that enough for him, or does he have a larger show of strength to provide, and what will that entail?

Like we can be mad at Loup all we want, but this is Coyetes doing imo. What's even more unsettling about this is that Coyote's goal was simply to die as part of another big adventure, and the troubles between the Court and the Forest were just his tool to fulfill a goal that ultimately had nothing to do with them.

Much of Loup's plan is clearly to stop the Court from using the Omega Device - or whatever it is the Court's doing that is threatening the forest. (Which makes it understandable that the Court would be wary about giving him the lake water; he claimed that if he had it and the goose bone, he'd leave the Court alone, but if the Court's projects are indeed detrimental to Gillitie Wood, Loup can't afford to keep that promise.)
