If four floating Ether syphons can make Zimmy produce a "Level 6 Etheric Distortion," what could a network of full-sized Ether stations do? Sure, they've dismantled one, but that says nothing about the others, and they could've built more. And what if they've built new and bigger stations that make the old Ether stations look like toasters? Are we seeing the Omega Device in action? What level of etheric distortion is about to happen? And what's the goal here? Is this just a test, or is this the real thing (whatever that means)? Some form of attack on Loup and the Forest, or some form of ultimate defense against Loup's power? (Edit to add: I don't think this is something the robots are doing, as in chapter 49 ... they're getting what they want, and Kat seems to have automated the process so it can go on without her presence.) Also, maybe someone noticed it earlier, but I think there are scars on both her bellow and arms. Whatever is happening/has happened to her? I'm not sure those are scars ... I think they're more of the same lighting/striation marks that are used in her neck and face, to emphasize the mood. |
