My question is what a really old person would see the "future" Norn as?

My question is what a really old person would see the "future" Norn as? My initial thought was, "I wonder what an infant who has no concept of past and future would see when looking at the Norns." Shortly after that I wondered what someone would see looking at the Norns from far away using a telescope or digital camera.

Everybody's present, and they may have passed into the future... things are tense!

If the middle Norn is always you in the present, and the first Norn is a younger you relative to the present...then if an old woman visits them would they turn into an episode of the Golden Girls?

Okay, someone's gonna have to explain to me what y'all are talking about. All I see in the first three panels are a bunch of drawings of me, all at different ages.

As a being who doesn't age, maybe Jones would just see one of herself. She's timeless.

Ahaha. Makes perfect twisted sense. If I wasn’t so attached to my current avatar, that Kat is choice. Which one?

This is exactly why they screen their calls "Sorry little infant we can't see you now. However, we can pencil you in for 1:28pm in 3 months and 11 days as that's when you finally understand object permanence."

So it seems the future versions are less solid-looking, and paler, than the past and present.
Which makes me wonder -- what's beyond the pale?

Finding out is the last thing on my bucket list.

I hate when Kat cuts her hair, I like how pretty she looks when she has long hair. Personally I hope she never cuts her hair ever again. I like long hair on a girl. Not really a fan of short hair on girls.
-------
Also noticing that the Gunnerkrigg version of the Norns look to be the opposite order of the Norns from Ah my Goddess the anime/manga. As the Norns are acting as a mirror to the mortals. Urd the Norn of the Past is the youngest Verdandi the Norn of the Present is the middle one Skuld the Norn of the Future is the oldest Interesting take on the idea.

It's a past/present/future thing, not a child/adult/elderly thing. So I don't think people need worry. Everybody seems to agree that what each character sees is relative to her own current age... which admittedly lines up with the fact that Anja's "younger" self looks noticeably older than Annie's and Kat's. I think I'll go with that interpretation too; it's less worrying than the alternative.

The next question is what the Norns see when looking at the other Norns. Only Douglas Hofstadter knows for sure.

The next question is what the Norns see when looking at the other Norns. A divide by zero error.

They're standing behind the other two, and it seems likely to me that they're up on some rocks as well. It also seems likely that there may be some mist from the water. Of course, it could also just be that the future isn't as firmly defined from the point of view of the present.
