This was worth staying up late and then refreshing the page until 3:00 AM EST to read. That FACE.

That is a Face that says, "How much changed, and how bad did things get while I was away?"

I think that from that magnificent face in the last panel we can infer that she still remembers Anthony.
Hilarious as that is, she is probably right now processing this new info and may ask one or two key questions in the next comic.

This seems to be a common reaction to that particular bit of news.

I think Brinnie, while saddened, would understand the inevitabliity of Surma's fate in a Demi-god sort of way... but there is a twist... Brin: ... and our dear Surma... had beautiful twins!? [massive hugs on Annies] Brin: ...but how is that possible? Anja: ... well, we thought maybe you could help us a bit with that. You see what actually happened was....... Quick theory: Brinnie left the Court before Anthony and Surma became a thing, thus we might be in for a near repeat of this scene. Another question is whether she will manifest the same sort of hang-ups as Eglamore used to have. Though unlikely IMHO. I suppose some partial cookies are in order?

All I know is that I'm loving Brinnie, as the latest addition to the cast. She'll be a wonderful Aunt for Katerina, and the Annies. And I really hope she sticks around for a while.

This seems to be a common reaction to that particular bit of news. Indeed but in this case there's the added bonus of "and how/why did that happen when he didn't show any interest in ME!?"

Brinnie’s definitely giving me Red vibes: she tells it just like she sees it, especially if she doesn’t like it.

Annie could use a step mother. Not sure how she would react to her father dating again though.

If/When Brinnie learns that Tony is able to show emotions when he's alone with someone (the reason he got together with Surma)...
Hmm...

Brinnie's face gets rightly acclaim, but I must also point out the excellent faces in panel 6. Lots of emotions there. Also, panel 4 is interesting. Since it could mean etheric vision is not a passive ability for Brinnie, but something she has to activate. So maybe she would see Robogoddess Kat if she used it on her? (also love how her face looks suddenly so much larger than the annies, as if she is gazing out of the ether at them, bit like coyote and the ants) Agree with Kuraimizu that Brinnie seems a fun aunt and that hopefully she sticks around for a while.

I'm sure Brinnie's reaction is just because she realized that James was single all this time. Was being the keyword. Sorry Brinnie you're a bit late.
I hope she's (mostly) over her story with Tony though. As much as I don't like the guy, coming back after decades and being mad at someone because you failed to peer pressure them into a date is bad for your skin.

I love that with that face, no one needs to say anything or emote anything.
We all know EXACTLY what is going through her head.

I hope she's (mostly) over her story with Tony though. As much as I don't like the guy, coming back after decades and being mad at someone because you failed to peer pressure them into a date is bad for your skin. I assume (perhaps foolishly) that she must have matured at least some since her GKC school days. She's been through training that must have given her some discipline. On the other hand, she's a goddess and Anthony is a mortal. Goddesses tend to remember slights for long periods of time. My past experience is telling me that Brinnie would like for Anthony to make some sort of acknowledgement of her beauty, not because she's still romantically interested but just as a validation. After that she may or may not toss the compliment back in his face, depending on how mad/not mad she is, and after that she may offer some sort of conciliatory statement based on how interested in him she was/is and/or because she may pity him after what's happened. And of course she may decide that she didn't mean some/all of the things she said later. [edit]I should add that I don't think that Brinnie would seek Anthony out unless there was some sort of reconciliation between the two that wasn't in the comic; what I wrote is what I think would happen if they met.[/edit]

Um hm. Ah ha. Okay. Yep. That conversation went in the expected direction.
I wonder whether Brinnie's been kept in stasis all this time. It would explain her somnolence when she first appeared, and her youthful looks. It would also suggest Tony is still fresh in her mind.
