Not an ominous chapter title at all. I'm kind of split on this. Part of me wants another 'get lost' flashback chapter with bird shenanigans, but another part wants to see Anja's immediate reaction and that plate she's washing hit the floor.

We going to delve in tick-tock lore and time travel.

I'm thinking that the title suggests that maybe:
1. Kat will start seeing through the eyes of her followers, or 2. Kat being able to perceive more of the unseen world.
Either would have some serious implications... which I'm sure Kat and Annie wouldn't handle with the seriousness that it probably deserves. In their defense, there's a lot of weirdness going on right now that they have to solve; a new problem that isn't immediately pressing is just going to have to be kicked to the bottom of the priority list.
Previously, Kat would probably just focus on how this is useful to the projects she already has going on and Annie would trust Kat when her friend says that it's under control without question. Now that they're taking steps to talk about what's bothering Kat and even approaching Anja about these things, that could change things considerably, so long as Kat remains open to communication.

Looking at the title page, I see a resemblance between the bridge lamps and the memory pearls Coyote's been removing from Ysengrin.

Now this is the potential book-ender we’ve been looking for.

I haven't been this excited at a chapter name since Parley and Smitty Are In This One.
It rather scares me to discover that that was chapter 35 and this is now 77.
Anyway, THOUSAND EYES! Time to pay off a reference 66 chapters old!

Love those idea's and while those could be additional meanings, the title refers to the nickname Gamma and Zimmy gave to the Tic-Toc. Maybe we are in for another appearance of them?

I am flummoxed by the direct chapter title, the recognizable chapter cover, and the unambiguous chapter thumbnail. Maybe this is all misdirection.

I think this chapter will be about the Tic-toc's ears.

I think this chapter will be about the Tic-toc's ears. Au contraire. It's clearly going to be about the Tic-toc's nose.
In all seriousness, I'm nervously excited to see where this goes. This will be the first chapter that I'll be reading entirely serially, having caught up at the end of 76.

I hope, but I got the feeling from their last appearance, that it might be a while before we see them again. It may be that we see the origin of the name, and the ominous implications of it. Then again, we could see flashback/time-travel version of Zimmy/Gamma.

If I had to guess, this chapter might have something to do with the Shadow People in Gillitie Wood.

I'm so excited. I think I've been waiting 10 years for this chapter! If there's enough to say on the forums maybe I'll finally make Gunner.

Finally! An entire chapter dedicated to the quartz alternator. I can’t wait!
What do you think the chapter icon could be referencing?

It's the first time that Annie - or Kat, for that matter - uses their own initiative to involve Court members in their pursuits, correct? This may have important consequences. For the longest time me, and many others, were wondering why the Court seems to be almost ignoring the supernatural goings-on among the hundreds of teenagers supposedly placed in its care, and has even on occasion allowed them to openly defy its own authority. But really, why would they put any effort into controlling them when they can just allow the kids to get into trouble that only the Court can help them get out of, and wait for them to ask for that help? The Court knows that eventually, they will have to. (And once they are in a position of need, their loyalty can be much more easily enforced.) This may be The Road on which Annies and Kat have started: to become more tangled with the Court, eventually leading to them taking active part in its more shady dealings. To lose their innocence so to speak, or to grow up into fully recognised members of the organisation, with all the tradeoffs and compromises that it involves. This new chapter may show be the beginning of that process of assimilation.

And they're also making a joke. Edit:

Whew! I was worried there for a moment no one would spot him!

I suspect that Anja, not immediately recognizing the Toc in this context, briefly thought that Kat had brought home a real bird.
