Unrelated: AW YISS, MORTEMBER TIME Related: Thought she was no longer wearing the dress. Still in paler colors, but it's nice to see a wardrobe change.

I wonder what Ysengrin's response will be to seeing Annie the way she is now.
And Coyote certainly holds Annie to her promises. I think this is the nicest we've ever seen Coyote in the comic.
I love this subplot btw. The rabbit boy and fairy's friendship was so clearly shown with so few words <3

I'm not sure how to describe her demeanor. Serene interest? Calm assurance? Let's hope it's not an act, and she's not just going through the motions.
I rather like his hair. Go figure.

Aww, the hair is still rabbit-like. (..rabbit-ty? ...rabbit-ish?)
e. Also, I'm still overjoyed the mythvision is over.

As a proud rabbit owner I am very curious to see what a rabbit-person is like. So far, so cute

I know, right? Just too cute for words. Plus, Tom has somehow made him seem exactly like a rabbit (kudos on that!). Annie's facial expressions on this page seem a little more relaxed than before, maybe? So I do think that time with Coyote did her some emotional good, though everything is far from solved.

Ahh, what a wonderfully cute moment to distract us from the carnage of a knocked-over building.

It seems weird to me that there appears to be a faction in the Court that may be scheming against the Forest, but the Court still allowed this new visitation program to proceed. The contrast seems to be a pretty blatant indication that the Court isn't the monolithic block of evil it appeared to be in the recent chapters. And Coyote knocking a building over probably shuffled the deck a little.

Aww, the hair is still rabbit-like. (..rabbit-ty? ...rabbit-ish?) And her shy demeanor is also rabbit-nous. EDIT: Or maybe Bunny-Boy could sense that something isn't right about Annie and was hesitant to come out from behind Smitty.

Yes. Waiting for subterranean grumblings from Court about how something will need to be done about that pesky trickster.
I suspect her pyrotechnic abilities have been suppressed by her snip, but I think Annie seems much more relaxed, and engaged, than she has since the start of the year. Speaking of which, the choice of clothing suggests we're still not far into the new school year.

So far, so cute My ovaries just exploded like a Hollywood car in a California ditch and I spontaneously hugged my cat, who did the "MOOOOOOMMMMMM" stretchy thing, heh. Also going to clone Andrew and ship him with Annie. (Kidding.)

Ahh, what a wonderfully cute moment to distract us from the carnage of a knocked-over building. The word "carnage" implies dead people, and as of now we have no dead people on our hands, except apparently in the imagination of some readers. It has been repeated many times that the Court is an immense forest of buildings with only very few people to live in them. They didn't really need the damn thing and probably won't even bother to rebuild it, just clean up the rubbles. Feel free to move on to cute rabbits.

Hm. Let's be glad that the court didn't decide to make Annie medium - Coyote threw a temper tantrum when she didn't come, but that's to be expected.
Your diplomat is held up in the territory of the one you're negotiating with? Had that happened to a court medium, they probably wouldn't have reacted with a request for a visit and friendly questions. Before Coyote got told that Annie wasn't to come to the forest any more, he didn't even get angry - he just asked what was up. The court probably would have assumed malicious intent.
Now that it's clear that the promise was to let the rabbit boy visit the forest... It sheds another light on Coyote. THAT was the important promise he was talking about? He must love his forest citizens, even when they choose to abandon the place. Or he has another agenda, but I can't see it at the moment.
Also: Rabbit boy is cute! I hope he gets a cool name. And finally, Smitty's there again! He can probably help with the whole Anthony-Annie situation.

These kids are really starting to look old. Will Smitty eventually grow taller than Parley?
It's good to see Annie looking more like herself, with some light in her eyes. Coyote said he could see "she was still Fire Head Girl after all". To what extent? What changed in that exchange between Coyote and Tony?

In my group it either means "that guy is so hot it makes me want to reproduce with him" or "that child/kitten/puppy/etc. is so cute it makes my body start thinking about getting pregnant". In this case I mean the second one, of course. I'm nearly old enough to be that little boy's grandmother, haha.

As shown in the 'red gets a name' chapter, those who were previously animals have features that connect to their previous animal forms in some way. Makes sense, with your name. IMO Annie experiences muted "aww". In that she would go all "adorab-bubble-bubble-bubble!", but way too tired to even try.

I can't help but wonder why Coyote wants Annie to fulfill this promise. Is it simply because it's a promise made to one of the forest denizens, or does he have a deeper interest in it? IIRC, no forest creature has previously returned after being transformed at the Court.

IIRC, no forest creature has previously returned after being transformed at the Court. It might be that it is just an excuse to get Annie back into the Forest so he can see her. Annie makes him happy. She is the Forest's medium so she should be about her obligations anyway. Speaking of obligations where is Parley?
