Next page: They walk around to the other side of the chair to find... I am in love with this. And I am glad they try to save Renard; Anthony seems like the kind of man who wouldn't see a forest creature as an equal partner, but something to experiment on. That Antimony doesn't want to help him is sad - it was her fault that he's in Anthony's custody now, and she doesn't feel the least bit responsible.

She also doesn't feel it's a problem. She does not see her father as a danger to anyone. Not Renard, and certainly not to her. Bear in mind this man is a skilled surgeon, the person who trained her in martial arts, and is capable of eluding Magitek scanning procedures at will. There are reasons that I said that Anthony scares me. He maybe the most legit dangerous character we've seen in this comic, just from the things we've seen him capable of executing. The threat of Anthony Carver is real. Why else do you think his supposed presence at the forest edge caused such consternation?

You guys don't think Renard really is the chair, do you? Even Anthony wouldn't be that terrible, right?

"ffffffffffffffffffffffffff" Gosh, though, what is Anthony doing with Renard?

ok... am brain dead (11 pm here and i got home just an hour ago). I got a pet theory which is horrible and feel free to shoot it down.
Anthony is trying to use Rey's ability to transfer between bodies to transfer the fire elemental bit from Annie to the cryogenicaly preserved body of Surma in order to try and resurrect her. Someone said that maybe Annie is Eglamore's daughter which would explain why Anthony hates her so much.
... and fire away

Also this. Annie is definitely Anthony's daughter.

I prefer it that way, because it means I do not have to scroll back up after reading the post to reply to it or give it a thumbs up. Which is to say, Geoduck, I meant to stick my thumb in madragoran's eye, not yours.] That idea, that Anthony wants to use Rey's transfer powers to whatever end, is lovely. Good catch, to the point where if that's not what Tom has in mind, he's probably wrong.

Someone said that maybe Annie is Eglamore's daughter which would explain why Anthony hates her so much. I think this theory was raised a couple weeks ago, but yes, I think it's one of the biggest possibilities. Anthony somehow doesn't seem like the kind of person to capture Rey just for revenge (that's JimmyJim's shtick).

The fact that Annie actually did give Rey to her dad is heartbreaking, both because it illustrates how utterly broken he has made her, and because it is such a betrayal of everything they have meant to each other.
