Having just consumed existing archives and added it to my RSS list, I can heartily recommend Unsounded. Thanks to your link, I am currently in the process of doing the same. Ended up staying up until about three in the morning last night digging through it, and am just about to start chapter 8 now. Remarkably good stuff! Soon you'll be all caught up like the rest of us poor fools who have to wait for the updates. =D If you haven't, check the Miscellany section, there are a couple of short stories there that take place before the comic.

In Dresden Codak I wonder what Telescreen kitty will have to inspire Kim?

In Dresden Codak I wonder what Telescreen kitty will have to inspire Kim? So in Dresden Codak is Kimiko really Azra-el-Memita, or a clone, or a copied mind from her? In which case, what do we make of the other black-and-white scenes?

In which case, what do we make of the other black-and-white scenes? It's most reasonable to believe that Dr. Ross found an infant [edit] or a child without memories [/edit] in the "tomb," gave her the name Kimiko and raised her; she grew up looking/acting the way she did because that was what she expected she would be because this is all a sim. But I should reread the comic to make sure; I could be missing some clue as to the timeline or to the situation, I only check it a couple times a year so as to "binge" on updates. ^minor edit [edit] Oh, forgot to mention in previous drive-by post: I'll speculate the following: The cat is leading her to some sort of artistic display or computer sim of same demonstrating the virtue of replacing yourself with machine parts. This section of the city was abandoned or never occupied by the population because of the discomfort with that and the other more difficult points of transhumanism. The entire city was built to guide the people along the "correct" path of science by Kimiko's dad with the intention that it would be a great place for her to grow up but because of the appearance of "dark science" she and her mother had to leave. [/edit]

Order of the Stick is the only one I check in regularly with. I check in with Sandra and Woo and Selkie every so often. Been trying to get past the sheer wall of text that is Drowtales.

I just started reading Blindsprings. Something I found funny when reading comments for some of the more recent pages (involving jerk fathers) is that even the people over there are talking about how much they hate Anthony Carver. It's like, "Oh, sure, Thorne may have imprisoned his wife and disfigured his daughter, but at least he's not TONY!"

I draw my own daily fantasy webcomic, which you can find by following my signature link down there. I'm only as far as the willygig and the time-paradox room but I am enjoying the archive binge!

Oh, sure, most of them are good people. And they all look like they'd blow up the world trying to do the right thing.
And yeah, it was hilarious how as soon as horrible fathers were mentioned, suddenly people started commenting about GC instead ^^

Freefall (for about 4 years now), Sinfest, Stand Still Stay Silent, Menage a 3 (nsfw), Oglaf (nfsw too), Scandinavia and the World, Awkward Zombie (if we can call it a 'comic')... there were plenty other comics I have stopped following or which have died to various author issues. Oh well.

Anthony? Actually not, would be better if she used that font

I usually stay contained to one story -- "contained" being an accurate term as I am by nature a memetic infohazard –- but I occasionally roam to other webcomics to acquire more cult members fans... Woo is an (honorary) canid after my own heart...

Oh, this looks kind of fun. Lots of great series mentioned in here, too; found a few I might check out sometime. Missing links means you can't read them anymore (or that it's Gunnerkrigg and it would be silly to link it, haha~).
I follow the update schedule of (in order of favoritism):
I tentatively follow (in no order): I used to read (in no order):
- Red String (finished)
- Eerie Cuties (got boring)
- Shortpacked! (got really boring)
- Leaf Scar (was abandoned)
- Manly Guys Doing Manly Things (artist is a jerk to commenters, also got boring)
- SIN (amazing comic and amazing art, but it became premium and I'm cheap)
- The Soul Chaser (MangaMagazine went down)
- Two Keys (MangaMagazine went down)
- Land of Lions (MangaMagazine went down)
- So many MangaMagazine webcomics I can't remember the name of anymore

So I started reading through this year's Eisner Award nominees in the webcomic/digital category: Bandette seems to be an on-going (?) series on Comixology, not sure if I'm going to actually buy it. I'll leave that last. I already completed The Last Mechanical Monster; a nice little story, but not earth-shatteringly great, and I'm not really sure if Eisner-worthy (and I think the author has done better). Maybe some Superman geeks might appreciate the background (which is interesting) more than me.

Outsider posted two more pages after a 2-year hiatus. It's set in 2160, which is also when it might be finished! Edit: I also approve of BATTLE DOG which does not fail to follow the rule that any new comic I like goes on pause just before or after.

Waaaay too many.
Sandra and Woo The Non-Adventures of Wonderella Order of the Stick Saturday Morning Breakfast Cereal Oglaf (NSFW!) A Softer World Dumbing of Age Least I Could Do (which has gotten considerably better since he's moved away from the more sophomoric stuff early in the comic) Questionable Content Scary Go Round The Devil's Panties Something Positive Hark! A Vagrant Homestuck xkcd Three Panel Soul Boxer Hockey Ctrl Alt Del Penny Arcade VG Cats Awkward Zombie Skin Deep This Modern World Girly (NSFW) Kukuburi (Still holding out hope he'll get back to this someday...) The Abominable Charles Christopher Girl Genius Corporate Skull (another one I hope will get revived, because what is up now is completely brilliant) Misfile Meaty Yogurt Yu+Me Octopus Pie The Wormworld Saga Templar, AZ Ava's Demon Manly Guys Doing Manly Things Teahouse (finished and DEFINITELY NSFW.) Spinnerette Grrl Power FindChaos ChaosLife Monster of the Week Lackadaisy (can't recommend this one enough. Great story and characters and some insane art.) Strong Female Protagonist (another high recommendation, probably the best deconstruction of superheroes since Watchmen) Monster Pulse Atomic Robo
Phew. That's most of them, anyway.

Wilde Life - dude rents a house off Craigslist out in the country and ends up dealing with ghosts and werewolves and whatever the heck those small glowing people were. Broodhollow - Anxiety ridden encyclopedia salesman inherits an antique shop in Broodhollow, a quaint little town with dozens of holidays, severe memory problems, and the occasional nightmarish abomination. Set during the Depression. White Noise (by Adrien Lee) - "Good monsters have a bad time" After years of living just out of its reach, the war between monsters and humans finally overtakes Hawk's little family, tearing it to pieces. Himself a monster in a world grown increasingly hostile to them, Hawk's only goal is to find and rescue his sister, Liliya. White Noise (by Melinda Timpone) - On a Earth still baring the scars from an alien attack centuries before lives Wren; a strong, agile youth with a long white tail, no knowledge of his origins, and a strange white creature that speaks to him in his dreams. BACK - A deliciously weird and funny Western/Fantasy story about the end of the world. It's by the same people who do Nedroid Picture Diary and Gunshow, so if you're familiar with those, it's basically the same style of bizarre. Widdershins - Victorian alternate-history where people summon emotion based spirits in order to work magic. Each chapter tells a story with a different set of characters, but they're all connected by the town of Widdershin and the Barber family. Trying Human - An Alien Abduction Love Story, told in two different generations. I also read some other comics that I've already seen linked here - Unsounded; Stand Still, Stay Silent; Paranatural; Supernormal Step; Homestuck; not caught up yet on The Last-Halloween, but getting there; Monsterkind; Blindsprings.

I liked a comment I saw the author make, about how to Clifford, Oscar is weird. (Ever read Digger? The small glowing people reminded me of these guys, though less articulate.)
