"My love" sounds so awkward. Isn't "love" or "luv" supposed to be the proper Britishism?

Interesting. No longer is it "Ethereal Science", it is straight up Magic User.

Jim's appeared first due to a slow connection on ZimmyZims' part, which makes her zir win all the more impressive because it means that presumably she got the comic later. (next update, bets!)

To think that everyone (me included) assumed it would be a laid back Fraraway morning 2.0...
This is shaping up to be on of the best GKC chapters, after an yawning Tell tales (well it was funny too, but it's trapped between See ya and Torn sea; too pieces of raw awesome).

People know you can just hover the mouse over the post time, right..? I've heard of that before, but it doesn't seem to work for my browser, I can't recall having seen the posting time ever. Well, in any event, Jenny is fast getting a lot of sympathy points here, turning from a total "witch" into a real a witch. Jim's appeared first due to a slow connection on ZimmyZims' part, which makes her zir win all the more impressive because it means that presumably she got the comic later. (next update, bets!) This is a problem I've noticed before, my connection seems pretty unstable and often helluvalot slower than most people's, which makes competing against the likes of Gotolei, snipertom and Daedalus virtually impossible whenever they really want to win the thread game.

Alright, now for actual thoughts on the comic. This is another example of rune-based magic, it would seem. I wonder if Jenny knows enough to neutralize the papers?
Also, what's with Jack taking over Kat's job? >.>

So. What magic-user, of the ones she's AWARE of, is Annie going to send that to? Anja (sorta predictable choice)? ParSmit (at least they'd arrive quickly *bip*)? Coyote (godly powers count as magic, right?)? Jones (she's not really a magic-USER, is she?)?

It is clear that freeman and eightyfour are part of a conspiracy to post here the new pages' content beforehand. Seriously, how did you guys hacked Tom's computer? And more importantly, can I join the conspiracy? Pretty please? I'll bring brownies if you let me!

"My love" sounds so awkward. Isn't "love" or "luv" supposed to be the proper Britishism? Depends where she's from, 'my love' sounds fairly generic to me. if she's from out in the West Country it would be 'Moi Luvver', from Lancashire she'd be calling Annie 'duck'. Anyway, I want to credit this guy for predicting the summoning circle at least! Someone had to do it.

Coyote (godly powers count as magic, right?)? Jones (she's not really a magic-USER, is she?)? Okay, my first thoughts: 1) Anja would be the obvious one, except that it would very likely get the whole of the Court into this, and I have a feeling that Annie has some reservations about that. 2) Coyote seems like a bit of an overkill. Or, let's say, it might be like curing cancer by shooting at it. 3) Jones would be the one that Annie trusts, but can she even get there? 4) *bip* gets my vote. Prepare for some serious ass-kicking, robutts! wild card: "help me, dad!". And that might just work the best!

Gotolei has confirmed multiple times on the IRC that he has a terrible internet connection. I have a connection high enough that I can (and do on occasion) compete, but I prefer to enjoy the comic for a couple of seconds first.

Anja is the obvious choice for magic user, plus we then get mother-daughter tension with Kat when she sees what has happened. The fact that it's on a ship way out to sea almost seems like it was designed on purpose to prevent Jones getting there, we know she can't swim! Cayote? No, he'd probably just find it funny anyway that the robots are turning on the court. Parley, perhaps, but is she even a magic user?

I suppose writing a S.O.S letter to attach on the flying-robot-thing was out of question? What if Annie's powers don't work?

Jack seems to have a habit of saying obsessive or paranoid things that turn out to be completely correct. For example. I suspect he's right that it's not safe for Zimmy to be stuck on a boat.

I have a connection high enough that I can (and do on occasion) compete, but I prefer to enjoy the comic for a couple of seconds first. This is getting extensively off topic, but I actually also always take some time to read every sentence to pick what I feel is the best title phrase. Sometimes I end up hesitating, unable to pick the right one and hating the idea of picking a wrong one (I have sometimes regretted the line I picked) and then inevitably lose it. I recall now that Gotolei has said that he has awful connection, and I recall also that Daedalus posts a lot from his iPhone which can't be the fastest way. But when they're at it, they can be crazy fast, particularly the latter. Or at least that's my experience. Often (maybe more like "sometimes") the thread comes out in less than half a minute.

Transferred from Jim North's thread, because these people apparently posted then left immediately: I'm curious what happened to Egger's beacon. But comparing these siphon buoys to the power station, who knows how long it will take to sufficiently aggravate Zimmy. Also I was momentarily imagining Jack and Jenny summoning daemons to do battle. "My love" sounds so awkward. Isn't "love" or "luv" supposed to be the proper Britishism? I don't know, but my threesome sence is tingling.
