This: Is it even possible NOT to read Kat's words with GLaDOS voice in your head?

I keep on forgetting that there is crossover between these two comics, and it makes me so happy when anyone references that comic here! I haven't been back to read it since they did the lame "Crap. I don't know where else to take the castle plot at the moment...let's just have girl of awesomeness fall asleep for two plus years..." I used to have faith in Phil and Kaja could write themselves out of that corner, even when that plot extended beyond the length of the rest of the comic, but that moment destroyed it for me. I don't have problems when people skip ahead, but when characters just get rebooted like that, it really bothers me. That bugged me A LOT too, but the whole time travel thing (albeit in a different way) was foreshadowed from the very beginning, and they've (sort of) started to resolve it. Still bothers me, but not enough to make me quit reading. Also; I feel like the entire point of the story is her coming into her own, taking her birthright as mistress of the castle, ruler of Mechanicsburg and all that, so I think it makes sense for that part of the story to take longer. Again though, the time skip also irrritated me A LOT!

Midnight, Sunday: Monday's comic goes up, Annie begins to take Mort into the either, he spills his tragic life story. Ooo, sorry, you're out in one. Monday's comic will be the chapter page. Well, it looks like you where right and I was wrong. Clearly, the proper thing to do is graciously admit defeat....but the internet has taught me that we should never ever admit that we might have possibly been mistaken about anything, so instead I've decided to hunt you down and end your bloodline (with fire!).

Though I like the 'reality is mutable depending on perspective', it leaves open the question of whether FormerRobesGuy could eviscerate Kat if he felt like it (as Annie would think) or not (as Kat thought). According to the multi-perspective idea, both should be true but they seem pretty mutually exclusive. Seriously though, this is accurate; visual perception can be subjective, but for the comic (and the world) to have coherence, this mutual exclusivity has to hold; he has to have some sort of objective existence. That's a really good point, and I'm inclined to agree with you both.

Pants? I see no pants. (And I have absolutely no idea what parts the pants ought to cover.) But if he did have any, they'd be giant. And, um, a real damn pain to put on all of those little skittery claw things I guess… Okay, fine, Scary McNopants it is!

How much you wanna bet that the entire point of the first act was backstory/setup? As in, sticking the monstery fairy castle into a bubble? And now she's going to be a secret agent for the Brits for a while in return for aid but the real "coming into her own" will be her travelling around like her pop having adventures, until she's ready to rescue the town/finish the final act (they run out of ideas for the franchise/get bored of her)? Though I gotta say the couple with their parents in their heads getting in the way of their relationship is a bit heavy-handed on the symbolism...

First thought when seeing page: "The hell is this? Filler art? Looks great..." Thought when comprehending what's going on :"Holy [redacted]! Sweet Mother of gods! WHAT THE HELL?!" edit: He has a certain resemblance to Zimmyvision!Kat with his tentacles-for-eyes things... I was trying to think of what the eye-tentacles reminded me of, and then I remembered Zimmy!Kat's freaky cable-eyes and logged in to post for the second time evar. There's an overall resemblance between them ( compare) — where crummy guy has curved horns, Kat has similarly curved ... things. Their upper arms have some similarity as well. It might be coincidence, but it seems mightily suspicious to me that what Kat is blind to in crummy guy resembles the way Zimmy sees her. I'd previously assumed that Kat is a psychopomp for robots, but now … I think Kat is to robotic persons what the crummy guy (and maybe the ROTD as a whole) are to biological persons. Even though she doesn't know it, she views the ROTD as a peer with a ruthlessly critical eye. I'm pretty sure that if she dies, she won't fall under the ROTD's purview.

I don't know about heavy handed; it never even occured to me because I forgot that Agatha still has her mother stuck in there, perhaps because it's a webcomic, where the story comes more slowly. But you know what the Generals think about it; shouldn't be too much of a problem! Ooh, thanks! I didn't ever see that (as far as webcomics go, I hardly ever read anything beyond the actual comic). I'm really looking forward to England! I wanna know what's up there... Also, have we heard about "The Crystal Towers of Light" before?

Again though, the time skip also irrritated me A LOT! Personally the time travel thing relieved me a little bit, it allowed the story to have a bit of a breather and advance without having to show the entire battle! I was getting a little tired of a battle over a city that seemed to have been going on for months and months of updates and very little actually changing except for what new shaped clanks the authors can think up this week for Agatha to defeat in a few pages.

A while ago, the Foglios said they had a specific plot already planned, and gave a list of where Agatha would travel to before the end of the comic. The list was (post-Mechanicsburg) Paris, England, Africa, Skiffander, and 'The Crystal Towers of Light', in that order. I cannot wait...here's hoping for time travel! Girl Genius is great - almost as much as GKC. I think.

And we should totally have a (benign, on-topic) forum invasion there, with our same profiles from here. Anyone interested?

I wasn't aware they had forums, but there does seem to be a reasonable crossover in fans!
I'm liking where this new girl genius chapter is going, hopefully more story without a fight every 3 pages. what was the term someone used recently? Action fatigue or something?
I like the train gods guys too...
Where was mwchanisburg supposed to be? I guessed somewhere in middle Europe, most of the comic so far is in German looking geography.

and I'm still waiting for a crossover fanfic with Agatha and Kat. And Sky. (For the psychology/espionage/politics side, bring in Sky's identical-twin sister Luna.)
