Mind blown. So that's what he looked like to Annie and Mort.

Thanks Tom! Had I been a little bit more tired, this picture would have really made me jump! Also; wait. Is that Kat's actual SIZE in comparison to Robesguy? I thought for a second she was in the background, but dear God, I think she's even with him! HOLY CRAP HE'S HUGE!

This raises more questions. Which one is the real one? Does the rest of the ROTD have the same appearence? Did Robeguy look like that from the beginning?

Also, apparently the Hivemind is back? I've been seconds late on like three threads this month. I know I promised that I wouldn't do it anymore, but damn, that is definitely not a crummy costume.

And is it possible he looks yet another way for other people? Do Annie and Mort even see the same thing? Or do they see something impressive but different from what the other sees?

What is it about Tom's brain that creates Eldritch horrors that are actually kind of beautiful? And now we see how accidentally badass Kat is; she told this thing to "scram"! Imagine what 1319 Panel 5 would look like from Annie and Mort's perspective!

Promised you wouldn't do what? Race to post the page discussion threads. It leads to a lot of heartache, since I don't like to delete my threads, and GK Sierra gets mad at me.

Mind blown all right. I was like 'WHOA!' when I saw the new comic. You can also see the connection between that form and what Kat sees, the green monster hands.
The entrance hall must have looked like a cathedral or something otherwise opimpressive.
I want to see what skele-receptionist looked like to Annie and mort.

There's an underlying reality, but everyone's perceptions are layered over that reality.

Also, kats legs are red for some reason, I don't remember her wearing red socks.
Edit: her shoes are red though.

First thought when seeing page: "The hell is this? Filler art? Looks great..." Thought when comprehending what's going on :"Holy [redacted]! Sweet Mother of gods! WHAT THE HELL?!"
edit: He has a certain resemblance to Zimmyvision!Kat with his tentacles-for-eyes things...

It wasn't until I noticed that bit that I thought he was actually that size; I thought he was about the height of his Kat-vision version, and Kat was just massively shrunk by distance.

I think it is interesting that Kat "forces" Robe Boy into leaving through the door in her version of things.

If Kat saw that appearance, I wonder if she would be brave enough to order him around? though obviously he isn't even trying to challenge her despite his fearsome form there.

One piece is missing: how does the "robes guy" see Kat. I'd bet it's the angel.
Edit: I mean, this must be what Annie and/or Mort saw. It's quite clear now why Annie and Mort reacted in such an awe and disbelief to everything there.

Clearly a Vorlon.

That was Muut, not Ketrak, and she only punched him in the chest, which Muut barely even noticed. Also, she was creeped/grossed out by Ketrak, which is why she wanted to leave the room while Annie summoned him.

Good grief.
So that must be what Annie/Mort saw, or what they subconsciously expected The Realm of the Dead to look like.

Since nobody's linked it yet, here's the mentioned Angel Kat for comparison. Still though, robeguy eldritchabominationguy does hold a finger up to her in appearances. I wonder if Annie sees herself anything like this. We've seen her in the ether plenty of times, but was it from her perspective..? and did I really just sleep through the update >.<

and did I really just sleep through the update >.< Heh. I tried to sleep through the update, but my body doesn't seem to be used to actually sleeping on Thursday nights. Judging by robe guy's behavior, I'm inclined to think that what Kat has been seeing is closer to "reality" than what we see here. He really does seem to be acting as a moody young librarian rather than a terrible chimera. In any event, I now want H.P. Lovecraft's stories to be turned into a series of movies or shorts animated by Tom.
